BOOK 16 SPOILERS

(specifically art for a character in the book)

of all the crazy wacky new dragons we saw, aurora was my favorite! she's pretty simple in comparison to the wildwings (she's an ice-sky hybrid) but i liked seeing a singer/celebrity dragon in the wof world :) shes described as "rose pink with glittering gold scales along her snout", "silvery icewing spikes around her head", and "ice blue eyes" so here's my lil interpretation

Darkstalker + blood moon stuff

i know this isn't art but honestly the NightWing blood moon knowledge has me shook; you're telling me Darkstalker could've been born with even MORE power??? with seer blood moon capabilities he'd have been more aware of actions leading to (what he thought of as) undesirable futures, and with telepathy he could've had influence over people even if they were immune to animus magic just by driving them insane LMAO. imagine how the whole Darkstalker arc would've went if the earrings couldn't fully protect them from his influence...

in a Q/A with Tui, she stated that blood moons affect a nightwing's powers, allowing seers to see terrible events/disasters clearly and allowing mind readers to project their thoughts onto any dragon (not just other mind readers)

i thought this was a really cool detail, and i'm hoping that it's used in the books somewhere

here are two sisters born under a blood moon, one a mind reader and the other a seer. i imagine the mind reader uses telepathy to comfort her sister as she foresees troubling futures
