This idea came to me when I woke up first thing this morning.

This may seem a long shot but I do want to start helping raise awareness of this seemingly simple and promising new crypto currency called Pi Network. It's, not so surprisingly, been announced to the public on 14th March 2019 (come on it's the Pi Day!).

It's the first crypto currency that allows users (called the 'Pioneers') to mine from their mobile devices. Although it's still in phase 1 where it's restricted to mining on your mobile, it's starting to trial the in-app transfer function in preparation for the future trading (Pi to real money or to real goods and services). The developers are working hard on making the function work eventually for all Pioneers on 14th March 2020.

It's simple to join. You just need to download the app Pi Network on eithet App Store or Google Play. You'll be required to input the invitation code in order to create your own account. Feel free to use mine which is @KoshiroFHK - then your life as a Pioneer is officially started - congratulations!

At the moment Pi doesn't have any face value. Just like Bitcoin was back in 2008. This has the potential to become the next big thing but of course I'm not going to ask you to take my word for it. Go do a quick Google search on Pi Network and do your homework first. I've done the same thing and then that was when I decided to give it a go.

Two friendly reminders for you future Pioneers would be to...

1) Remember to verify your account by either sending a SMS via the app to their UK or US number or straight type in your mobile number to receive a verification code if you own a UK or US mobile number.

2) Be extra sure to turn on 'Hide your real name' under Profile. Pi Network doesn't require any personal information aside from your real name and mobile number, but it sure feels a lot safer if others cannot see your real name - wouldn't you agree?

Last but not the least, this will be a fantastic news for those social animals out there as it's a networking system, the more friends and families you invite to join as a new Pioneer, the faster your mining rate becomes. So be sure to utilise your social network!

Hopefully this will be a great initiative for everyone and eventually it will pay off for all of us... Go Pioneers!
