Ok, just one more, and then I'm done for the night. :-)  I really like these; there's a mesh fabric with metallic animal print on it, and it shows up SO nicely against the black lining. Yum.

Space-agey armwarmers lined with organic bamboo fabric. I'm gonna make a bunch of these for the holidays in all sorts of colors--they're pretty awesome for cyclists, fashionistas, writers, runners--anyone who does stuff out in the cold or works with their hands in a chilly setting. I can tell you that my hands do get a little stiff in the winter and I'm always cold unless I'm in the shower or eating a big bowl of spicy soup, so armwarmers are a must for me to keep my hands from getting too cold. :-)

experimentation: What does it look like when I sew together scraps and then cut armwarmer patterns from it?

I think the answer is: pretty awesome, and way more fun than the reversible armwarmers I was making last year. These are a good way to utilize the bags of scraps I've kept around from all my clothes-making, and I really enjoy coordinating the different materials and colors together. I've decided to line all of them on the inside so they actually keep your hands, wrists, and forearms warm instead of just looking groovy. :-)
