Hello I’m completely enchanted by your wool felts and I need one desperately. Do you sell the creatures? Do you hoard them all for your self in a woolen menagerie? Please let me order one of Them

Howdy, @fhucc!! I do not typicallyyy sell the felted creatures I have already made, as felting is a labor of love, and I make every weirdie with a particular person in my heart.

However, if you would like to DM me an idea of what kind of kritter you would like/what would make your heart happy, your country of residence (for shipping feasibility research; I've shipped internationally before, but would want to make sure that your country and mine are playing nice postally LOL), and what you would be willing to offer for the commission, you are more than welcome to!!!

(I know that might feel kind of direct, but the bartering game gives me anxiety, and it is a lot easier for me to make a decision on whether or not it is a job I want to take if folks are just honest w me about how much they think my work is worth to them 😖)

how do you get your needle felts so smooth? whenever i make any they always have so much fuzz sticking out no matter what! even with trimming them

is it just the camera that makes them look like that or is there some secret method to this?

Mmmm well if you look at the close up of the rainbow trout, you can see that it definitely still has some fuzz action going on!! But maybe part of the smoothness might start with the fact that I use a single needle to felt, as I really only like the multi-needle tools for flat projects?

Also, after tucking in all the fuzz through felting to firmness, I have some surgical scissors I use to trim, and I slowly go over the entire project while snipping quickly to shear the surface smooth. They have blades that are about 1 inch long and even if I don't see any fuzz with my eyeballs, I will still completely snip every area of the project just to be safe!

Not sure if that is helpful info, but I hope it might be!! Good luck and happy felting!! Keep working til you find a method that feels right for you and remember that this is fiber art, and there will always be a stubborn hairy variable of the media that is a lot more enjoyable to embrace than to fight!
