Man, working in the service industry really changes you as a person.

Today I had one little kid (probably around the age of 6) who was trying to steal things including our tips (and this was after we gave him a cookie because we were being nice and hey it’s the holidays). We found out that he’d apparently been wandering the hotel by himself and harassing the bar as well.

Then two other slightly older kids (like maybe between ages 8 and 10) came in and hovered until we turned our backs and they took a couple mugs and tried to bolt. They ditched the cups outside because they knew we saw them though.

Then later our whole tip jar had disappeared.

I’m about to get kinda yikes here but I have a feeling they all had the same parent (they were all little black kids), and I’ll bet you that their parent probably sent them in to steal stuff because little kids won’t get in very much trouble. This is beyond just not tipping, they’re just flat out stealing our tips now.

It makes more sense than when non-religious people celebrate easter but u know what, little kids don’t even question that shit like hell yeah I wanna play hide and seek with a bunch of eggs that have chocolate in them. It’s just something you do. 

It’s kind of interesting because it’s like religion itself in the way that you just grow up with people telling you to do it and you just don’t question it even though it doesn’t make sense. It’s tradition man just roll with it.

Story from your childhood:

I have so many good ones that I can never remember on the spot, but one story I can remember right now is that one of the neighborhood kids stole some of my pokemon cards so me and my friend went into their house, fucked their room up with toothpaste and toilet paper, and stole my pokemon cards back with interest.

Another one is when I was visiting family with my dad and it was 4th of July but all the adults were drinking so they filled a pinata with fireworks and as it went off my dad jumped over it and burned his pants so that’s how he got his native american name: Dances with Fire.

There was one time I was riding four wheelers with my cousins and this was in buttfuck Montana so of course there were critters all over the place but when we saw a deer we decided to chase after it and eventually one of them caught up to it in the river, but when his four wheeler caught in the river rocks he lept off and pounce on this deer. We had no reason to catch it, but we did anyways.

There was one time I was riding one of the horses through the tall fields, and I hit a fox cuz neither me or the horse saw it. He was aight tho.

It’s kind of fucked up that Sam and Tucker didn’t call an ambulance when their bestfriend was not only electrocuted, but blasted with an intense otherworldly energy, regardless of the fact that he got up afterwards.
