You don't need anyone's approval for the stories you write and the art you create. But it's also absolutely valid to want some approval from your audience. Kudos and likes don't determine your creation's worth. But it just feels amazing to receive them.

There is no such thing as a completely original plot. We develop our ideas through what we see or experience.
Don’t be afraid to draw inspiration from your favourite books, movies or TV shows. The story you tell will be unique because you’re the one who is telling it.

this means she's pretty clean throughout. The biggest obstacle now is the motor, which currently has parts soaking in kerosene to remove all the grease. The soldering may take a while; I don't think I should do it at my place where I have no garage/basement/work bench, so it'll have to happen when I'm at my parents' house, maybe with my dad's supervision so I don't burn my fingers off lol
