Wolf || Junho & Kris
Days often blurred together, Junho had long ago stopped trying to make sense of time. He knew when he was one year older and that was enough (more than enough truthfully) for him. Keeping tracking of 24 hours worth of time seemed to be a useless exercise for him, especially when most of his days were exactly the same. All this to say Junho simply didn’t care what time it was when he slept, he slept when he got tired and if he was tired in the middle of the day that was when he laid down.
He wasn’t sure how long he had been asleep when he was woken up by the sound of a visitor. All at once an icy panic gripped him, convinced he was about to be robbed Junho grabbed for his machete, not noticing it was still sheath. When he burst out of the back room with wild eyes and messy hair it didn’t take him long to find out why he hadn’t heard anyone at the door.
"Jesus christ." He let out a long sigh. "Hi, Kris." He leaned the machete against the wall. "Why is it that you never knock?" He asked, the somewhat blunt question softened by the slight embarrassed smile that turned the corners of his mouth up. He ran his fingers through his hair in attempt to calm himself (certianly not because he cared what he looked like, Kris had seen worse).
Kris had no time to sleep. He was too focused on discovering a cure so he could bring Gayeon back. But he was far from discovering that. And when Kris did sleep he would always dream about his past and about what could have been. He hated those memories. He hated losing the one he loved. And he hated losing his best friends. But there was nothing he could do now. It was the past and he needed to focus on the future.
When it came to Junho, Kris wasn't quite himself. For some reason he spoke more when with the older man. Perhaps it was because he always felt calm when Junho was with him. The two were similar and got along well. Perhaps that was the reason why their friendship had turned to something more... intimate.
Hearing Junho's voice, Kris turned around to find his friend with a machete. He chuckled awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck. "You know me. I always forget to knock. Sorry." He made his way over so he was in front of the slightly shorter man. "How are you?"
Wolf || Junho & Kris
Whenever Kris Wu needed a distraction, there was always one person he can turn to. One person whom always found a way to make Kris forget everything. Forget the virus. Forget his once love. Everything didn't matter when Kris was with him.
That one person was Lee Junho.
Lee Junho was older than Kris was by two years and yet it felt as if they were the same age. It wasn't like either had feelings for each other. They just knew how to distract each other. Kris knew that whenever he needed a distraction Junho would be there. And Kris would do the same for Junho. However, because of his constant travelling, Kris was usually the one to find Junho.
Today was one of those days where a distraction was desperately needed. Luckily, Kris was near where he knew his 'friend' lived. Sighing, Kris made his way into the gas station.
"Junho hyung?" he called, looking around.

Small Discoveries, Big Rewards (SDBR) | Kangjun & Kris
Kang Jun’s breath hitched as the doors to the ambulance opened. He hadn’t expected to see anyone else out here, much less someone who didn’t look too pleased to see another human being. Before anything else he studied the man for a little whilst getting up, moving slowly to the open doors of the vehicle with the empty syringes in his hand. The man didn’t seem that bad and it didn’t seem like he was going to attack him either. If that was the case the gun in his pocket would of done the job straight away. The man definitely was not with the fireflies, he would of seen him otherwise. The Unsung perhaps? Or worse, The Military.
Before jumping out onto the road, he took another look around, making sure that it was safe to do so. Nothing in sight. Good. Kang Jun stepped out onto the road and looked back towards the man. ”Thank you. There’s not really much I can do with this knife.” The young man said, turning his knife in his hand, getting a good look at it again. It didn’t offer much protection, it was pointless Kang Jun having it honestly, he hardly used it anyway.
Turning back to the stranger and the ambulance it occurred to him that he hadn’t actually searched the rest of the vehicle, which is what this trip was for to begin with. ”I’ve only found these syringes, I don’t think there’s anything else in there.” Kang Jun beamed, simply happy to be around someone like himself. ”If you happen to find some medicine or something… Any chance we could share it? I happen to really need some.” He couldn’t really go back empty handed and going home with a little was better than nothing after all.
Kris Wu was Unsung and therefore didn't encounter many humans. It wasn't like he wasn't happy to see another human. Kris just wasn't the social type. He noted the man looked young. Perhaps he was younger than Kris was. He didn't really take much notice of ages anymore. They didn't matter anyway. He watched as the man slowly made his way from inside the ambulance to the outside. Something about the man peaked Kris' curiosity. He wasn't sure what alliance the man was. If he was military, Kris would have been dead by now.
The Chinese man listened as the other male spoke about his knife. Kris couldn't help but chuckle slightly. "There are actually a lot you can do with a knife," he said, reaching into his pocket. Kris pulled out his switch blade and smiled. "I've used this quite a lot actually. They're easy to use if you know how." Kris hummed as he played with his knife. There were the faint hints of blood on the blade.
He looked up from his knife to stare at the shorter man. He looked the other up and down before looking towards the open doors of the ambulance before him. "Hmm.. I see. Well syringes aren't much good to me. Perhaps there are other things I could use. Hopefully," he mumbled to himself. "Medicine? Is there medicine in there? I could actually use that for my experiments." He looked back at the male. "Doctor, I presume?"
A Chance To Save Lives // Kris & Kikwang
"Oh absolutely not!" Kikwang said loudly, dropping his bag of equipment as he changed out of his hunting gear. The man in charge of the Unsung stood next to him, persistent on getting Kikwang to take a mission that would surely get him killed. "It’s hard enough trying to stay alive out there covering my own ass, and you want me to babysit another scientist as they try to find some bogus ingredient that will hardly save anyone in the future? No, thanks." He stripped out of his dirty shirt and pulled a fresh one over his head before whistling to get Suki’s attention.
He couldn’t believe what his ears were hearing. The last time he was assigned to help one of the group’s scientist, he failed. Things got too crazy and in the end, the scientist died. After that he refused to go outside the wall with anyone who has no experience. His leader just continued to look at him, placing a folder in front of him. Kikwang sighed and picked it up to examine it’s contents, surprised by what was inside. “Is this for real?” He asked. The other male just nodded and Kikwang looked back at the sheets in his hand. Whoever this scientist was, they were onto something…something that couldn’t necessarily stop the Infected but had the power to potentially save several lives, which is why he joined the group. He tossed the folder back to his leader. “When do we leave?”
The next day he had to be ready. The window of opportunity for a mission like this was small and they had to take it while they still can. With Suki by his side he made his way to the hideout’s entrance, easily spotting the scientist amongst the group of hunters. He didn’t recognize him, but his appearance still made him uneasy, making him feel like he had a lot on his plate with him.“My name’s Kiki,” he introduced. “I’m the hunter that’ll be escorting you to get your sample. There’s three locations we’re going to try but before we leave I need to ask you a few questions. One, have you even been outside Seoul before? Two, do you know how to use a gun? And three, how much contact have you had with the Infected? And dead ones don’t count.”
If there was something Kris Wu hated it was being babysat. He wasn't a child whose parents were having a date night. He was a twenty-four year old man who was perfectly capable of taking care of himself. He didn't need a baby sitter and so when he was told he would have one, Kris was no pleased. "I don't need a fucking babysitter," he spat, his expression one of anger. The man jut sighed and stared at him, shrugging. "I'm just the messenger, man. Nothing I can do." Kris sighed and shooed the man away.
His discoveries were a mixture of good and bad things. His dedication meant that the young scientist had had a few minor breakthroughs. Some were things like discovering new chemicals or cures for things such as colds or some bacterial infections. Nothing close to the cure for the Infection unfortunately. However - by pure fluke- Kris had stumbled upon a possible solution to saving those from the dreaded infection. He still had a long was to go, but he was making progress. Which was why he wanted to go searching today for a few different things for his experiments. He had made a list and tried to think if he needed anything else. If Kris came across an item he hadn't listed and thought it was useful he would often add it to his collection.
He had been waiting with the hunters for around ten minutes now. He felt uncomfortable. Kris was someone who preferred solitude and there were too many people here. He was growing agitated and impatient. He knew he stood out. His clothes were different to those of the hunters around him. His height was something else that made him different. He was tall and easy to spot. He looked up as a man began speaking to him. He had an unusual name. What kind of name is 'Kiki'? He couldn't help but roll his eyes as the other drilled him with questions. Kris stared at the man, his expression blank. "One, Seoul is not my only home. Two, this isn't my penis poking out of my pocket and three, I used to fuck one. Does that answer your questions?" He sighed. "Should we go? Name's Kris."

Wolf | Hongbin x Kris
There was a frosty bite in the winter air as Hongbin made his way along the familiar route, staying off the main roads as much as possible and hugging his jacket tighter around his body, the worn black leather doing very little to keep the chill from seeping into his bones. His eyes flit from one direction to another, keen on observing his surroundings for anything out of the ordinary or dangerous – it wasn’t exactly safe to be out wandering alone after all, especially not so close to nightfall. However, his reason for taking the risk of traveling about Seoul was justified.
Kris.
It had been a while since he’d initially met the older male, though the details of where and how remained a bit fuzzy in Hongbin’s mind. He blamed the alcohol he had consumed that day, blamed his inability to handle liquor for his decision making that night and for his lack of memory on their first encounter. The morning after was what he remembered most; the finger shaped bruises on his hips, the scratches he’d left behind on pale skin and waking up to find himself still tangled up in sheets that weren’t his. It should’ve been awkward, embarrassing even and yet, it had somehow turned into a repeat occurrence. A rather common one at that, if the rising frequency of their meetings lately were anything to go by.
As he neared their decided meeting place, Hongbin spotted the unmistakable tall frame and tufts of blond hair and couldn’t help the slight smile that curled on his lips. They weren’t lovers, not even close but he had developed a sort of fondness for the older male over the course of their meetings. Closing the short remaining distance, Hongbin shuffled his way up to him, just noisy enough to draw his attention and alert him of his presence so as to not startle him.
“You haven’t been waiting long, have you?”

Small Discoveries, Big Rewards (SDBR) | Kangjun & Kris
Kang Jun hadn’t been to the Free District in some time and he was unquestionably far from home this journey. Considering he existed in the southern zone it would be safe to say he had gone at any rate several miles eastward. The excursion was predominantly for materials, any remaining herbs that could be utilized for the specialists to add to medication for the most up to date gathering of ladies who could soon go into labor. He had lost an excessive amount of innocent babies of late and it was about time that things began to look positive.
The young man kept a nearby eye on his general surroundings. Making a point to not go close to any of those ‘things’, Kang Jun knew of the harm they could cause and turning into one of them wasn’t on the top of his agenda. Kang Jun has grown accustom to avoiding these creatures and so far it has worked in his own favor, learning new ways in which he can keep his distance from them.
An ambulance. Perfect. In spite of the fact that he knew the possibilities of discovering pharmaceuticals were thin ( indeed exceptionally thin ) he had used up most of his syringes and on the off chance that he could discover a few more, then it would be a successful outing.
However, the world is not so kind. Someone else was there, not directly close but in the distance he could hear a voice. He couldn’t say the gender of the person, it could go either way. Kang Jun quickly jumped into the ambulance and as best he could closed the back doors to the vehicle and kept quiet.
After a while he had heard footsteps walking towards him and another one of those things went down. Were they friendly? Would they attack him? He could always run away if they started to attack. He wasn’t the type of person to dismiss someone right of the bat. Quietly he started to reach for the doors and opened them slightly. ”H..Hello” stammered Kang Jun. ”Is anyone t-there?”
Kris had no set home. He was unsung and didn't care for living in one place too long. It wasn't that he had to travel, he just liked to. It was a way to try different experiments with different things from each region. It was also a chance to try and find Gayeon. Even though his ex was probably long disfigured by the virus. All Kris could do was hope he wasn't too disfigured.
The Chinese man sighed. Thinking about his ex was pitiful and disgusting but he couldn't help it. Gayeon had been his first and only love and he had lost him to the virus. Kris kicked a small rock as he walked. His hands were placed inside his pockets and he was watching the ground. He wasn't looking at anything in particular. His thoughts were becoming too hard to handle and he felt like crying.
Raising his head, Kris noted a vehicle in the far distance. His eyes lit up slightly. It was a possible source of new chemicals he could try. Continuing to kick rocks, Kris began making his way over to the vehicle. That's when he heard a noise. Looking around, Kris noticed an Infected heading for him. Kris reached for his pistol, firing it directly into the head of the creature. He watched as it fell down.
Pocketing the gun, Kris didn't expect to hear a voice. He frowned as he looked around. He noticed the closed doors of the ambulance and opened them. There he spied the boy who looked scared or something. "It's fine," he said dryly. "The creature is gone. You can come out now. I need to search the ambulance."
[Savior] - Youngjae x Kris
Youngjae crept towards the building slowly, avoiding as many people as he could. He didn’t know much about the Unsung, but he knew they were similar to the Fireflies at least. The building he had been watching seemed to be a mix between a makeshift lab and a classroom of sorts, judging by the large of amount of kids that went in and out. He skipped the classroom side and continued on until he was under a window outside the lab. Peering over the edge, Youngjae only sees one man with a lab coat on inside, currently mumbling to himself as he walked between tables with various instruments across the the surface. The man cursed under his breath when he was unable to find something, leaving the room in a hurry. They must be working on a cure too. He thinks as he takes in the various liquids and tools in the lab.
Voices interrupted his thoughts as two Unsung soldiers rounded the corner. Shit! Youngjae couldn’t climb the wall without being seen or heard so without really thinking, he pried the window open, thanking the man inside for leaving it unlocked, and jumped in, closing the window quietly behind him. He sat beneath the window, heart racing as he waited for the soldiers to walk by. Once they were gone, he slowly stood up, walking towards a table covered with papers. While Youngjae had only gone to school for a brief time, he did enjoy learning new things. He’d broken into several military and Firefly camps before, and when he wasn’t stealing he’d sneak into their labs and read their research. He liked comparing the various theories each group had, and this was his first time reading research from the Unsungs.
He picked up different lab reports and notes, trying to read and memorize as much as he could. It seemed the man in the lab coat traveled a lot, as his reports seemed to change based on new things within whatever area he was in. Youngjae wondered if there was information that came from his area, and continued searching through the notes.
Kris (Yifan) Wu worked hard to attempt to discover a cure. He was 24 and had probably done more experiments than scientist twice his age. He had reason and drive that kept him going even when he met failure. There were times where he thought he may have been close to success but failed. There were times where he wanted to just give up. Then he remembered Gayeon. His once love and reason for his determination. No matter where Kris traveled, he always found time to work on the cure. Some places were better than others. He had been to almost every district and section of abandoned Seoul that he was running out of places he had yet to visit.
Right now, however, he was settled in the Unsung district. He had been here almost two months now and had already begun his work. When he wasn't researching he was teaching. It wasn't that Kris liked teaching. In fact he hated people. But his ex wanted to be a teacher and so Kris became one for him. He taught science and chemistry. But he researched more than he taught. Like today. Kris had been in the lab for almost 12 hours now. He wanted to work on as much as he could before he had to move again. He kept all his notes and chemicals neat and in order. He worked alone. That was the way he liked it.
Realising that he had forgot something, Kris Wu made his way outside the laboratory into the hall. There wasn't much there but that was where Kris kept some things. He hid them of course. Very well he might add. Yawning, the male stood after retrieving his items and began making his way back to the lab. He was reading over his files as he opened the door. That's when he looked up and noted a stranger peering at his notes. "What the fuck are you doing?" he growled, anger evident on his face. "Are you trying to steal my notes? Fuck off!"
3.6.5 | Jongin & Kris
His hunting didn’t went very well today. There wasn’t a proper prey to find and even in the crematorium was nothing but crap. Jongin had no idea what he should eat now. He was starving since a few days now and he had to eat what everyone else was eating. Though, he wasn’t feeling very good with it. His stomach wasn’t liking canned food that much. Every time he was trying to survive with canned food he had horrible stomach pain the day after. Honestly, Jongin was feeling better if he would just starve.
Jongin ran through his white-blonde hair with one hand while he was passing some streets, leading to the abandoned hotel where he was living in. it was the most stupid place to live. People come and go and not everyone of them were harmless. But at the same time it was also the perfect place to find some new food.
With his hands in the pockets of his jacket Jongin had his sight lowered on the ground. With one foot he was kicking a little stone in front of him further and further. His head was empty, but deep inside he was fighting against his hunger.
But today something was different. Jongin was looking at this little stone on the ground which stopped at some stranger’s shoes. With his brows furrowed Jongin looked up. A stranger who was a bit taller than the white haired man was standing right in front of him and he was staring at him weirdly. Jongin looked over his shoulder, just to make sure whether the stranger was looking at him or at someone behind him, but there was no one but Jongin. So this man must be staring at him?
“Why the heck are you staring at me like that?” Jongin finally managed to say once he had looked back at this stranger. He wasn’t scared, not at all but something was weird – Jongin just had no idea what was wrong here. This man’s face…Jongin wasn’t recognizing it – no he was quite sure that he had never seen this face before.
It had been too long since Kris had last seen his once best friend. He couldn't even remember how they had lost contact. Or the fact that his old best friend couldn't remember who he was some of the time. Jongin had crossed Kris' mind many times throughout these years. He often wondered if his friend survived. And if he did he wondered how. Kris had always felt a slight emptiness inside of him that was left from the absence of Kim Jongin.
Kris Wu had found various things worked more than others when trying to survive an apocalypse. While he didn't do it himself, he found others became human eaters in order to survive. Others resorted to stealing or finding their own way to keep themselves alive. For Kris, he didn't care how he survived. All he cared about was finding a cure.
While Kris didn't like staying in one spot for too long, the hotel he had been staying at - for some reason - had made him want to stay longer. It wasn't until today that he realised why. Jongin was here. Somewhere, someone, was looking down on him.
Kris blinked a few times when Jongin spoke. He looked away quickly and swallowed. "I-Er-Sorry. I didn't mean to stare. You just looked like someone I once knew. I guess you're not if you don't recognise me, hey?" Kris looked up and gave the other man a small smile.

Wolf | Hongbin x Kris
It had been awhile since Gayeon was infected and Kris still felt as if his former lover were still beside him. He felt pathetic and love sick but when you're living somewhere where you have to survive, your emotions tend to get thrown around a lot. He had grown up with Gayeon and had watched him get turned. It had felt like Kris was in hell. And there was nothing he could do to stop it.
As time passed, Kris learnt how to forget his ex and try to survive another day. Of course, Hongbin helped as well. Kris couldn't remember exactly when or how they had met, but Hongbin was Kris' distraction. Hongbin knew exactly what Kris liked and vice versa.
Whenever either men needed a distraction, they would turn to each other. Kris didn't know why, but lately he had been meeting Hongbin more than usual. It wasn't easy for them to meet. Both lived in separate districts but somehow it worked.
This was the third time this week that Kris had shown up at their spot only to leave a few hours later without meeting Hongbin. He wasn't surprised though. It was hard to walk around Seoul now without being at risk. He only hoped that Hongbin would come this time. Kris needed the distraction.

X.O.X.O | Chanyeol & Kris
Before becoming a scientist and teacher, Kris was once a boy just trying to survive in the world of the Infected. He had once been part of a group but it had disintegrated over time until it was each man for himself. But there had been a few that Kris stuck with over the years. His companions would change depending on the circumstances. Some left to join other people while some left because of other reasons. Either way Kris had been alone for half his life and he didn't mind one bit.
Of all those people who came and gone, only one Kris cared about. That one person who was always by his side. The one who would protect Kris when he was in danger. But that one person was no longer in his life and now the man felt empty as if his whole energy had been ripped from him. And there was nothing he could do.
To help try and ease the pain of losing his love, Kris often found himself writing little letters on whatever he could find. They were always short but Kris used them to let out his feelings. One day the man hoped to find a cure for the infection but for now all he had were failed attempts.
Kris had been walking the streets of the Free District when he reached to retrieve something from his pocket. The tall man had not noticed that one of his 'letters' had fallen out in the process.

3.6.5 | Jongin & Kris
Being an orphan, Kris was destined to be alone. He was born during the first year that the Infected took over and changed the lives of many. He had some friends that he had made in the orphanage but none who had really stuck with him.
That's a lie. There were two kids who remained his friend during their survival. Gayeon and Jongin. Both held different places in his heart. Gayeon as his love, and Jongin as his best friend. However, it wasn't long before both boys exited Kris' life, and for different reasons.
Gayeon had been infected one day during hunting. Kris still blames himself. Jongin had been separated from the trio during a stamped of fleeing people. Kris hasn't seen him since. Jongin had been Kris' best friend and he had lost him.
Now he was in his mid twenties and alone. He traveled often and never had a set 'home'. Right now he was staying in an abandoned hotel. He didn't know why, but for some reason he found himself wandering around the ruins. That's when he saw him. Jongin. His old best friend. He didn't know what to say. He just stood there staring like a weirdo.
