Bridges lead all sorts of directions. North, south, east, west; but all bridges began at the same point at some time. Life is like a series of bridges, you go up and down and criss cross never quite ending up where you wanted, but somewhere decent at the least. Some bridges burn, and others just crumble away with time, but the mainland, the true self, from which all bridges began and are anchored never fades away. Maybe from memory, but never from reality. You can run away from yourself or hunt yourself down, but in the end it's useless. Life will take you wherever it wills to go; whichever bridge it decides to make you walk across or jump off of is up to you and you alone.
