why would they literally have gabe say to mercy, âyouâre the one who did this to meâ if they were gonna eventually going to back out on it???? why even imply it in the first place if thatâs not what you want people to think?????????

Um, this never happened. There are people who have scoured the game files & nothing of the sort exists or ever has existed, Michael Chu has even confirmed this.
IIRC the convo was Mercy asking Reaper âWhat happened to you?â to which Reaper responds, âYou tell me, Doc.â Assuming thatâs the conversation weâre referencing, itâs the sole instance of anything implying that Mercy even knew anything about Reaperâs transformation, and very different from directly stating âYou did this.â
But now that we know that it was Moira who experimented on Gabe, that means Reaperâs just being coy, and at worst, it means Mercy may know enough to have a vague guess on how an amoral mad scientist could turn a human being into a sentient vape cloud.
When you ask me âwtf is this?â and i go âYou tell meâ it just means I have no idea whatâs going on. So that means that Reaper himself doesnât really understand what Moira exactly did to him. He just knows that he has this incredible power and that heâs going to use it to achieve his goals. imo
