the idea of dark rey is so boring at times. it involves a lot of ooc readings of rey—she has never been selfish. she ENJOYS hiding from the spotlight, something the dark doesn’t take well to. she is so self punishing and lonely she reaches for anything different.

anakin was power hungry and frustrated and scared—rey is not frustrated by the limitations of her circumstances (quite the opposite) but she does assert herself when she’s boxed in to the rigid idea of the sith/jedi (which is why i kinda like the lawless/gray jedi ideaaaa)

fully selfish dark rey is so unrealistic they had to invent the fact that she’s a palpatine to make it work. kylo knew rey would never be a sith (that’s what he likes about her!), he only proposed their own balance, and EVEN THEN SHE SAID NO. it’s cool for dream sequences only
