As a student, the common issues that we are facing as a student is sleep deprivation. Sleep deprivation literally means suffering from lack of sleep. It occurs when an individual gets less sleep than they need to feel awake and alert. People vary in how little sleep is needed to be considered sleep-deprived. Specially us students, we really have different kinds of factors that keeps us from sleeping early.
According to my research, the factors of sleep deprivation includes: waking up early can lead to sleep deprivation and the accumulation of sleep debt, sleep-wake patterns of going to bed late, family obligations, using your cellphone or any type of gadget, shift work, and many more. Its effects includes: longer time to recover from illness, it increases your risk for chronic conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease, lastly it can lead to DEATH.
There are ways for good sleeping habit. First is to go to sleep when you’re tired. Of course you need to sleep because it enlightens your whole body once you take a rest. Another tip is to avoiding eating 2 to 3 hours before bedtime. Next is engaging in regular exercise during the day.You also need to keep the bedroom quiet, dark and a comfortably cool temperature Lastly
turning off electronic devices when you go to bed. So if you have seen some symptoms, better start to change your routine! Remember, prevention is better than cure. :)
