Epiphany

I had an epiphany last night in the shower. The one I had been waiting for, but not going after.

It was the outline for my short film.

More specifically.

3 scenes, 3 pieces of dialogue to concentrate on and connect.

Today, I’ll be writing.

First Draft Deadline: December 14th.

2nd Epiphany: Just start. Every time. Just start.

BTS “Ballin (remix)” - Bug Diddy ft. Young Dolph music video shoot in Cashville, Tennessee this past weekend.

Thats right. Young Dolph. Tennessee. Big names. New cities. Cashing out. Between this, and finessing office space in downtown Atlanta, momentum is surely picking up.

From exploring new cities with my Tennessee plugs and learning new equipment, and I’m still soaking the experience in. This was exactly what I needed. My vision is expanding. Rent money helps too.

Chopped not slopped.

Interestingly enough, I just watched Moonlight and all it’s special features via Redbox. Barry Jenkins (director) and Nicholas Britell (music) go into detail about the importance of chopped and screwed tunes from Mozart to Erykah Badu throughout the flick.

Okayplayer’s fittingly purple link popped up on my Twitter time line, and here I am thinking of “clever” names for my new blog. Some director blogged during their filmmaking process from inception to execution and I decided to steal the idea. 

This chronicle will be dedicated to my journey as a filmmaker. Screenwriting, production, post production. All that shit. This will be important in hindsight.
