every time. every time I say I can’t stand tomatoes someone emerges from the mist to offer me an heirloom cherry tomato from their garden. “It’s good. It’s sweet. You’ll like it,” they wail and wail. my attempts to deflect them with no thank yous and jokes about them being close relatives of deadly nightshade to no avail. they continue to attempt o force the round orbs upon me. I give in to their plea and take a bite. “It’s ok I guess,” I whimper as my eyes water and I struggle not to gag on the sour, mushy, hell fruit.

So I’ve begun to wonder if Cloud’s memory of his mother isn’t accurate? It seems a little off to me. He’s in his soldier uniform in the memory, and we know he was still in the infantry when she died an not yet in the uniform Zack put him in. He also didn’t get a chance to go back and see her as far as I know. He invited Zack to go with him to see her, but then he didn’t say anything about it again after that. And if I recall, that was the first time Cloud had even been back since he left for Midgar. Part of me wonders if this memory is something that Zack told him that his mother said to him and cloud imprinted himself into it because of the mako poisoning and such. 

Plus, cloud was a little more shy and soft spoken when he was younger. So I can’t see his mother saying that he needs a girl who can reign him in. I can, however, see that for Zack. 

Anyway, just a thought 😊

Edit: Yes, cloud did have some anger issues, but I don't think that his mom was calling him a silly goose for that (I can't imagine she was too happy about that). That's also why I think it might be Zack's memory. He's the silliest goose I can think of XD
