I like zukka as a ship but I cannot go into the tags for content about it. why is everyone so insistent on making zuko a little femboy. so many people just see a long haired man regardless of culture/time period and call him femme. And they make sokka hypermasculine like hello????? he’s so fucking flamboyant ?? he wrote poetry, loved arts and crafts, wore a gay little purse, and did DRAG. in CANON. In a modern setting sokka would fix your car and then say SLAYYY do a death drop

like i cannot emphasize enough how fucking stupid this plan was. the siege of ba sing se ended 5 years ago. people know what iroh looks like, to the point where he once got recognized by a random army captain at a hot spring and almost got his hands broken about it. and yet he rolls up to a city that has a vested interest in recognizing him and secret police force with zuko. zuko. like i could buy that no normal citizen would look at their tea shop guy and assume he was secretly an evil general, okay. but it's one thing to just be Mushi from the Tea Shop With an Unfortunate Resemblance to General Iroh, and another fucking thing entirely when Lee the Tea Server Who Looks Weirdly Similar to Prince Zuko is standing right next to him literally twenty-four seven!! like at least get different jobs hello????

My favorite part of this is “when I am no longer fit to rule” because

1. Implying Bumi was fit to rule at any point

1.1 except maybe in the sense that he was completely shredded

2. That he has no plans to die, (nor would death necessarily make him unfit to rule), but that he apparently intends to like. Tuck his arms and legs into himself and just roll off into the sunset.

3. Given that the Earth Kingdom has an actual ruling family that causes some drama in LoK, Toph continuing to cause monarchy confusion is both 100% in character and fucking hilarious.

extremely missed opportunity to not show katara and sokka reacting to seeing a field for the first time. katara like “holy fuck!!!!! green!!!!! everywhere green!!!!!!!!!” and sokka being like “now hang on, the Everywhere Green might be dangerous. proceed with caution.” meanwhile katara and aang are already rolling like twin barrels down a hill shrieking with utter glee. eventually sokka concedes that the everywhere green is kind of beautiful, actually. and that is the exact moment he steps in a patch of poison ivy

toph: why they shriek like that

sokka: maintains that small dogs are simply not yet fully grown. he’ll see some oldass raggedy chihuahua and be like “wow that is an ugly newborn golden retriever.” katara isn’t entirely convinced he’s joking

azula: dogs are for hunting or guarding. cats are for loving and nurturing. duh.

suki: inexplicably loves small dogs, but only if they’re raggedy. she loves her little ratdog

mai: small dogs, big dogs, either way they’re lame and boring. be a wolf or be a cat.

ty lee: her policy on dogs is the bigger the better, but she loves suki’s little ratdog like that baby gargoyle is her own son
