i love when dystopian fiction makes up future slang and such but also thinking abt how it might be a bit different in an inherently techy future where slang and algospeak influence language more concretely..

like the concept of characters naturally speaking in a censored kind of way, saying 'unalived' instead of 'killed' etcetc is interesting, but i think it would be even more interesting if it added a kind of taboo to regular language. the characters use regular words as profanity, some being worse than others, but all of them being super offensive. food for thought...

i like the hc that jason looks the most like bruce because its just that little bit heartbreaking with their parallels. however, i also really believe that damian is a double of bruce with a dash of talia. father and sons, they're all strong-faced, but bruce and damian share those trademark wayne arrowhead eyebrows. they all look related (jason by some miraculous phenotypic coincidence, bruce ran the dna (four times)), but jason is just,,, softer, in a blockier, sturdier kind of way, only exacerbated by his post-lazarus-brick-shithouse build.

point is, bruce and damian are dobermen, and jason is a rottweiler.

i'm SO late to this but i NEED to brainspill about SF/DAWTDE because i JUST watched it and HOLLLYYYY SHITTTT it's incredible,,, i would say i'm speechless but i'm actually not and i have so many thoughts about it, spoilers under the cut

SF/DAWTDE is my first experience with an ARG and i'm just so obsessed with it,,, as a medium??? it's so interactive and well-executed through environmental storytelling, with the symbolism and everything???? insane. incredible;;; you can just tell how much passion and effort went into the project, between the build quality and the characterization and sheer amount of source content???? but for wifies to go out of his way to create a second-hand video series that makes it friendly to a general audience???? insanely talented storyteller, even if you disregard the sheer QUALITY of the story--which is ALSO insane, like hello????? to take a cosmic horror classic and reprise/adapt it to not only fit a modern setting, but to actively UTILISE it???? like turning minecraft mechanics into actual narrative functions with d3rlord3's traps in the first cave, but also breaking the fourth wall by acknowledging the digital medium and translating it into the king's motivation?? INSANELY well crafted and put together, including the story's lore with the village and everything (which i still don't fully understand, but i'm obsessed with) just. watch it.
