this is a nice drawing, but the fact that cinder, iko and winter (all dark-skinned woc) are whitewashed is really sad. i understand that this was meant to be a nice drawing, but also, the fact that they are all dark skinned is so important and it sucks to see that being dismissed (not just this drawing, but by a lot of people actually).

I agree. This is a beautiful drawing and I could tell who it was supposed to be, but…Cinder is literally blonde in this and they’re (Cinder, Iko, Winter) all so lightskinned which is what so many people in this fandom have been against just because the diversity in the TLC series is so important and significant.

This drawing is gorgeous and obviously had a lot of time and care put into it. I also think Cinder Iko and Winter should be represented as the woc they are, but it also bothers me that Scarlett is so thin. Just as rare in media as woc are women with differing body types who are not used as comic relief. Scarlett is beautiful, not just for her amazing personality, but because she’s a short and curvy girl. It’s still a really pretty drawing, and it’s in one of my favorite art styles.

Sorry if I offended anybody with this drawing. I am very much aware that Iko and Winter are woc. I tried to bring this across in the drawing (notice the difference between Iko and Cress’s skin colors), but I guess I failed. I adjusted the brightness before exporting, and forgot to adjust the skin colors. :(. Sorry, I was just trying to make art. 

As for the other issues:

I have always thought of Cinder as dirty-blondish...

This ‘shopping spree’ is meant to take place right after the rebellion. So Scarlet is still recovering from being malnourished, she’ll be back to her curvy self in no time. :)

And finally the real problem with this drawing that no one has pointed out yet...

CINDER HAS BOTH HER HANDS. I FORGOT TO DRAW HER CYBORG ARM.
