the tjmaxx employee loading a fourth tranquilizer dart into their blowgun: i need backup
Fully and utterly obsessed with every single aspect of this scene
#when youâre both gay and one of you is stuck at a family dinner so you plan an elaborate rescue mission
i love this guy
Sometimes someone says something that you're pretty certain is bigoted, but it's so divorced from reality and, frankly, most rules of coherent communication, that it isn't even massively clear what is being attempted to be communicated at all. It's like being called a slur in a language you don't speak, like I'm pretty sure whatever you're saying isn't GOOD but damn if I am too perplexed to know what exactly it is you're saying

so fucking evil
like oh my god it is so transparent they're trying to get vulnerable people addicted to their stupid LLM. it's a well known problem at this point and they are not even being subtle about exploiting it
all humanity should live in one big mound of hexagonal concrete cells writhing and squirming over each other and we would chew up clay and powdered rocks to make more concrete to build the mound bigger
there's this little fairy in my house that likes to make out with other fairies right where I can see because it knows it pisses me off and I can't fucking do anything about it because they're a protected species
"we teach kids about sex at 13-16, any earlier and it can actually scare them" protestant american spotted!! We learned in grade 5 (age 10) and I knew what it was for years prior uwu
When I was 8 I fully knew what sex was and the sum total of my thoughts was "that sounds gross. Hey can I play Pokemon now"
Any kid who has unfixed pets or lives in the general vicinity of a farm knows what sex is by the time they're five or six. I knew about it at four because I have a little sister and my parents were normal about explaining what the hell was going on with my mom's abdomen, why we were prepping the house for a baby and when she'd be arriving.
My thoughts on the matter were mostly "Oh yeah, like on PBS Nature. Cool. I'm gonna go dig a hole for fun now."
To add to this, when I was being taught in 4th grade, up until that point anything relating to the subject of sex ed was heavily censored; so for our very first day of sex ed, we were going in blind.
My classmates and I had such a terrible reaction to the information because you could tell that,
a.) the teachers were uncomfortable and b.) it was explained to us in a very dramatic and grotesque way.
This is a perfect example of how censorship and mishandling information can cause reactions that specific groups of people claim are accurate for all children. It was almost comical how when we reached middle school sex ed, you could tell which of us had that experience and who didn't.
Fast forward to when I worked as a babysitter, the 6 and 3 year olds I was caring for asked me to read them a book on where babies come from.
Children value transparency and recognize when something is stigmatized.
Everyone's Friend
Thereâs a certain folkloric idea that if you die at sea, your soul is sort of. Inextricably stuck in the sea. Because your body is irretrievable, your soul is also irretrievable, down out of the reach of the gods who look at the surface of the world. In Norse mythology, they said that the souls of sailors who died at sea are caught in the sea-goddess RĂĄnâs net and dragged into her domain, a distinct and separate afterlife alongside Hel and Valhalla. Davy Jones Locker. The funayĆ«rei. A lot of cultures agree that once sea has a hold on you, even when your body has rotted and dwindled and been made food for crabs, it still wonât let you go.
Do you think weâre going to wind up saying the same thing about astronauts.
it honestly is bonkers how well a âtransfem Jesseâ reading fits Breaking Bad. every time Walt gets mad at Skylar but canât do anything about it he takes it out on the girl he can hit
your jokes about trans women "never going outside" are noted and categorized under the same filing as other victim-blaming jokes like "if she didn't want to be assaulted she shouldn't have dressed / acted that way"
you can poke fun at the material consequences of transmisogyny all day, but there's nothing particularly funny about the fact that most transfems find it preferable to socially isolate themselves to the detriment of their mental and physical health rather than risk engaging in a violently transmisogynistic society the moment they step outside
