So... the Miraculous movie got me back into buying merch from this franchise, something I haven't done in years. Mainly got my hands on some of the dolls and the books in French, German, Italian, Spanish and a Dutch magazine!

I really hope to buy more soon, but it's supringly hard to find in my country, so I have to get it online.

I was rewatching the movie earlier and I think there's a key difference in Adrien.

He's not a model.

Not even once we see him modelling or doing anything of the sort, he's just a regular kid who goes to school and is sad about his mom's death.

Like the only time we see Gabriel being controlling compared to what we got in the show is he tellis him to leave the fair?? Cause two akumas were about to appear there.

Like idk someone smarter than me elaborate how without being under the constant watchful eye of his father (and all of Paris) made this boy not be as thoughtful and aware of the external perception so there's beliable range for him to be as he is in the movie.

Being Chat Noir is not getting freedom for him, it's being able to do whatever the hell he wants and I think it shows a lot in his character.

Little thing I love about the sparring scene is that when she says “I really should go home now” and he says “don’t” he still lowers his arm so she’s not blocked in so if she really wants to leave she can but he still hopes she’ll stay and that’s just so Adrien of him

It would be easy to poke fun after all this time but honestly, I really enjoyed myself with the Miraculous Ladybug Movie. Nino and Alya had so much more screentime than I had any right to expect, we got a whole new personality trait/skill for Nino (skateboarding) and even had streamlined DjWifi goodness, what more could I have even asked for? Plus, the animation was genuinely incredible and Gabriel finally had some tasty ass nuance. I kept saying to Tides "Finally, some good food girl."

Sure there were some things I coulda done without, but overall I had fun and it was just so fun to see the boy again after so many years of not watching any of the canon content. It was essentially all worth it for him to have one line to say "You know I'm here for you, right?"

In that moment, i knew he was my son again.

I just watched the miraculous ladybug movie and it was amazing. 9.5/10 Total gold, but my only complaint is that they didn’t play the wall between us in the movie and that was the song I was looking forward to the most so that was very sad when at the end of the movie I didn’t hear the song that I was the most exited for😭

Watching miraculous awakening after 8 years of everything Thomas Austruc has done that nearly destroys the show felt like a warm hug and a pet in the head by Zag. I quit watching the show because of how out of ideas Thomas clearly was (he took the time between seasons 1 and 2 to gather as many popular fan theories, fanfics and headcanons the fandom created as a way to wait for the next season and added it all to the show, claiming it's all been part of his plan since the very beginning). Now, after almost two years of not even thinking about miraculous, watching this movie was like being reminded of what made me like the show in the first place, only it was better. It feels like Miraculous Awakening was made for the fans who have been there since the very beginning and were tired of waiting for something that would clearly never come. Jeremy put his heart and soul into giving miraculous ladybug the story it deserves

I have been in this fandom since that anime-like PV and watching all the first season from broadcasting sites in Korean while in my eating-break at my first job and YES, ABSOLUTELY YES.

This movie brought back all that joy, illusion and excitement from 2015.

Of course the movie isn't perfect, but surely feels like a warm hug and I'm here for it.
