Bruce Wayne x Reader story
Hey guys!
Just wanted to drop by and let you know that I’ve been working on a Bale!Bruce Wayne x Reader story over on Wattpad, and it already has 30 chapters up (and counting!). The story is set during Batman Begins, right at the moment when Bruce is starting to become Batman — so lots of origin story vibes, drama, and of course, romance.
It’s a fanfic, but honestly, I’m treating it like a real book because I’m super into the characters and the world. If you’re into slow burn, Gotham moodiness, and emotional tension with Mr. Wayne himself, I think you’ll like it 🖤
Here’s the link to the story on Wattpad
Let me know if you’d prefer me to upload it here on Tumblr too! I don’t mind at all, but I feel like Wattpad makes it easier to read chapters and follow along.
Hope you enjoy it!

The morning at the stables had been rough—long hours, heavy lifting, sore hands—but it hadn’t been all bad. Not with Tommy around. Not when he kept finding ways to sneak off for just a second, brushing against you when no one was looking, tugging you behind a stall to steal a quick kiss.
Every time his fingers grazed yours, every glance he threw over his shoulder, it made the chores feel like some kind of game. A secret just for the two of you.
By the time you and Ellie push through the front door, your hair smells like hay and your jacket’s stained with dirt, but neither of you really cares. You’re too hungry to care.
Ellie drops her coat and heads straight for the kitchen. “If I never smell another horse again, I think I’ll die happy.”
You laugh, trailing behind her. “C’mon, they’re not that bad.”
“Speak for yourself. You didn’t get kicked in the shin.”
“You got kicked because you kept smacking their asses.”
“Affectionately!”
You both collapse into your usual seats at the table while the soup heats up, the kind Dina made and dropped off earlier. Ellie tosses you a spoon. You catch it without thinking.
Halfway through eating, she glances over at you, chewing slow. “So,” she says, real casual, “what’re you up to after this?”
You shrug. “Just gonna walk around a bit.”
Ellie hums. “Right. Walking.”
You raise an eyebrow. “What?”
She tilts her head. “Nothing. Just… earlier today, in the stables? You and Tommy were looking real... cozy.”
You pause. “We were working.”
“Mmhm.” She smirks. “Working. Is that what we’re calling it now? Looked more like whispering. Or maybe plotting. Or maybe making out behind a pile of hay.”
Your stomach twists, but you keep your face neutral. “You’re seriously imagining things.”
“Maybe.” She scoops up another spoonful of soup, speaking around it. “Or maybe you almost jumped out of your skin when I walked in on you two and now you’re lying to my face about going for a ‘walk.’”
You glare at her, and she grins like a devil.
“Just saying,” she adds, “if you’re gonna sneak around with the man who’s basically our uncle, maybe try not to get caught next time. You’re not exactly stealthy.”
Your cheeks burn. “Ellie—”
She holds up her hands in mock surrender. “Hey, I’m not judging. I’m just picturing how pissed Joel’s gonna be when he finds out.”
You go silent.
Ellie chuckles. “Kidding. Mostly.”
You push your bowl away and stand up. “I’m going out.”
“Right. Enjoy your walk,” she calls after you.
You’re halfway to the door when you stop, fingers still on the handle.
You turn back around.
“Ellie,” you say quietly. “Please… don’t say anything.”
She looks up from her bowl, eyebrows raised, spoon still halfway to her mouth.
“I know it’s not—” you hesitate, tugging your sleeves down a little. “I know it’s not normal. Or smart. Or... whatever. But just—can you not tell Joel?”
Ellie leans back in her chair, eyeing you with something between amusement and curiosity. “You really like him, huh?”
You don’t answer. You don’t have to.
She teases you with a small, crooked grin, but her voice softens. “Alright. I won’t say anything.”
Relief washes over you for a second, until she adds, “But only if you don’t say anything about the tattoo.”
You blink. “What tattoo?”
She gives you a sharp look. “Exactly.”
You sigh. “Deal.”
Ellie smirks, smug and satisfied. “Have fun on your walk.”
You roll your eyes and push the door open, stepping out into the cool air, your heart already pounding for reasons that have nothing to do with the weather.
The walk to Tommy’s place is short, but your thoughts are loud.
I’m gonna kill him.
Seriously. You’re going to knock on his door and strangle him with his own stupid scarf. Kissing you like that in the open. Whispering to you when people were around. Letting his eyes linger on you too long, like no one would notice. Like Ellie wouldn’t notice.
By the time you reach his porch, your hands are in fists in your coat pockets. You take a breath, knock once.
The door opens, and there he is. Smiling like sin.
“Hey, sweetheart—”
“Are you stupid?”
Tommy blinks. Then laughs, low and warm. “Well, hi to you too.”
You step inside without waiting for an invitation, brushing past him. “Ellie saw us.”
He closes the door, amused. “Saw what?”
“You kissing me, dumbass.”
He raises his brows. “Wasn’t that the point?”
You whirl around. “The point was to not get caught. To keep this quiet.”
He shrugs, smile still playing at his lips. “I thought we agreed you'd be the one to talk to her.”
“I was going to,” you snap. “Just not like this. Not with her teasing me about how ‘not stealthy’ we are.”
Tommy laughs again, stepping closer. “Well, she’s got a point. You do turn into a statue every time someone walks into a room.”
You glare at him. “This isn’t funny.”
He gently hooks a finger through the belt loop of your jeans, pulling you toward him. “It’s a little funny.”
You hate how fast your anger fizzles out when he’s this close. When his hands are that sure, and his voice goes soft just for you.
“You’re impossible,” you mutter, letting him pull you in. His arms wrap around you, steady and familiar, and your cheek finds its way to his chest.
You stand there for a long minute, just breathing. Letting it settle.
And then, quietly, you say, “She said she wouldn’t tell Joel. At least… she didn’t lie about that.”
Tommy’s hand runs up and down your back. “Well. That’s something.”
He kisses the top of your head and doesn’t speak right away.
He just holds you, letting the silence settle, arms draped loosely around your waist like he’s afraid to break the moment. Then, slowly, his lips find the side of your forehead, soft and lingering. They move next to your temple, then trail lower—across the curve of your cheekbone, brushing just under your eye. Barely there. Like he's trying to memorize you one kiss at a time.
You feel the tension leave your shoulders, bit by bit. The air between you is quiet but warm, heavy with the smell of old wood and him—leather and soap and the faintest trace of horses.
“You know,” he murmurs against your skin, “if things were different… I would’ve made you dinner tonight.”
Your breath hitches slightly at how close his mouth is, how gentle his voice sounds when he’s like this—unguarded. Like it’s just you and him in the world, and nothing else matters.
“Yeah?” you say softly, eyes still closed.
“Mmhmm.” He kisses the edge of your jaw. “Something nice. Candlelight. Music, maybe. One of those half-decent bottles of wine I’ve been hoarding like they’re part of my emergency kit.”
He smiles against your neck, his voice low and playful. “Something cheesy with garlic, just to make it obvious I was trying too hard.”
You laugh quietly, turning just enough to look up at him. His eyes are already on you, dark and shining, like you’re something he still can’t quite believe is real.
“But,” he says, the smile slipping into something more sheepish, “that would mean keeping you here ‘til dinner. And by that time, Joel’ll probably be back.”
Your expression falters just a little, the reality of it slipping in around the edges.
“Right,” you murmur.
He lifts a hand and tucks a strand of hair behind your ear, the pads of his fingers lingering just a second longer than they should. “Hey,” he says gently, “I know it sucks.”
You nod.
“So,” he continues, nudging your nose with his in a way that’s so stupidly tender you have to bite back a smile, “I improvised.”
You blink at him. “Improvised?”
He straightens up slightly, lips quirking like he’s proud of something and trying not to show it all at once.
“I made you crepes.”
You blink again. “I’m sorry, you what?”
“Crepes,” he repeats, completely serious. “Well, attempted crepes. They might technically be more like… thin, confused pancakes. But I had the spirit.”
You stare at him.
“And I got fruit,” he adds quickly. “Sliced it myself. Even managed to scavenge some honey.”
“You made me a romantic… afternoon snack?” you say slowly, trying not to laugh.
He leans down and presses a kiss to the tip of your nose. “It was either that or burnt jerky and cold coffee. Which, don’t get me wrong, is also a very Jackson-style date, but I figured you deserved better.”
You let out a laugh, soft and incredulous, as your fingers find the edge of his collar.
“And,” he continues, voice dropping just a little, “since we both smell like we spent the night in a haystack, I may or may not have run you a bath.”
Your eyes widen slightly.
“Candles and everything,” he says, like it’s a secret. “Grabbed some dumb little wildflowers from the trail. Put ‘em by the tub. Romantic as hell.”
You can’t help the smile that breaks across your face—tired, warm, full of affection you can’t quite say out loud. Not yet. Not with everything so tangled and secret.
But it’s there. You feel it bloom in your chest, quiet and stubborn.
“You are such an idiot,” you whisper, pressing your forehead to his.
He grins, wide and boyish. “Yeah. But I’m your idiot.”
You pull back just enough to look at him in the eye, grinning. "So, Mr. Idiot, you're seriously trying to seduce me with a bath and fucked-up crepes?" You say in a teasing tone.
He brushes your hair back from your face. "Is it working?"
You kiss him, soft and sure.
"Yeah," you whisper. "It's working."
And before you can pull back, he kisses you back —this time slow, certain, with both hands on your face like he’s grounding himself in the shape of you.
And god help you, it works. It always does.
His mouth moves over yours with more hunger this time, the kind that makes your spine arch and your hands curl into the fabric of his shirt. It’s still tender—but heavier now. Focused. Like he’s been holding back all day and finally let go.
You feel him smile against your lips.
“You know,” he murmurs, voice low and rough near your ear, “I was gonna feed you crepes…”
His hands slip under the hem of your shirt, palms warm against your waist.
“…but now I’m thinkin’ I’d rather have you for dessert.”
You let out a breathy laugh, trying and failing to hide how your body reacts to that.
“Tommy.”
“What?” His mouth trails down your jaw again, slower this time, teeth grazing just enough to make you shiver. “Tell me you haven’t been thinking about it too. You’re not exactly subtle, baby.”
You try to say something clever, but then his hands slide further up your back and you just—melt. His thumbs brush your ribs, teasing at the edge of your bra, and you feel your knees go soft.
He leans into you, lips brushing just beneath your ear.
“I could put you on the kitchen table right now,” he whispers, “and still call it a meal.”
You breathe in sharply, and your nails dig into his shoulder.
“Jesus Christ,” you mutter.
“Close enough,” he says with a grin, nosing down your neck, leaving a kiss in the dip of your collarbone.
You barely manage to push at his chest—not because you want to stop, but because you can’t think when he’s touching you like that.
“Okay, okay,” you say, breathless and flushed. “Later. Maybe.”
Tommy groans, resting his forehead against yours. “Tease.”
You just smile, smug and a little dizzy.
Then you wrinkle your nose.
“God. We really smell like horse.”
Tommy leans back, sniffing the air like it just hit him. “Fuck. Yeah, that’s bad.”
You both laugh, breathless and red in the face, still tangled up in each other.
He kisses your cheek again. “Well, lucky for us…”
He steps back and makes a dramatic little bow.
“…the bath is still warm, and I did go through the effort of lighting, like, twelve damn candles.”
You raise an eyebrow. “Twelve?”
“Okay, maybe six. And one of them’s one of those weird cinnamon ones I stole from Maria’s stash. But the effort’s there.”
Then, he gestures toward the hallway. “After you, ma’am.”
You shoot him a look, but follow anyway.
The bathroom’s small, nothing fancy—just chipped tile and old walls that hum when the pipes get hot. But the tub is full, the water steaming gently. And yeah, the candles are crooked, the matches probably burned his fingers, and the flowers are half-wilted from being picked who-knows-when…
But it’s warm. It’s quiet. And it’s yours.
You pause in the doorway, lips parted, heart doing that fluttery thing again.
“Tommy…”
He shrugs, standing behind you. “Told you it wasn’t much.”
“It’s perfect.”
And it is. Because he did it for you.
You’re still standing there, soaking in the soft glow of the candles and the steam curling off the water, when you feel him come up behind you. His arms slide gently around your waist, pulling you back into the solid heat of his chest. You exhale slowly, your body relaxing against his without even thinking.
Then his face dips into the curve of your neck, breath warm against your skin. He doesn’t say anything at first—just breathes you in, like he's grounding himself in the scent of you, even through the sweat and dust of the stables.
“Mmm,” he hums, nuzzling close. “You kinda smell like horse shit.”
You snort. “Thanks.”
“But…” he drawls, his lips brushing just beneath your ear now, “I’m thinkin’ maybe I could help you with that.”
You don’t answer. Can’t.
“I mean,” he continues, tone low and dangerous now, “if I took your clothes off real slow… and helped you into the tub… wouldn’t be such a bad way to start, would it?”
Your breath catches when his hands move to your hips, fingers curling just beneath the hem of your shirt.
You manage a soft, shaky, “Tommy…”
But you don’t stop him.
He tugs the fabric up inch by inch, knuckles grazing your sides as he lifts it over your head and lets it fall to the floor behind you. His hands find your bare skin, trailing light, teasing lines along your waist, up your spine.
He presses another kiss to your neck—hotter this time, slower—and then his fingers drift toward the button of your jeans.
“You sure?” he murmurs, lips brushing your skin.
You nod once, breathless.
That’s all he needs.
His hands work patiently, undoing the button, sliding the denim down your thighs. The rough fabric brushes your legs as it falls, pooling around your ankles. He doesn’t rush—he touches you like he’s unwrapping something fragile and sacred.
His palms find your thighs, then your stomach, then up, feather-light, tracing the line of your ribs through the lace of your bra. Not fully touching, not yet. Just exploring.
“God, baby,” he breathes, voice barely above a whisper, “you always do this to me…”
And then he steps back, just far enough to take in the sight of you, lips parted, chest rising and falling fast, candlelight dancing across your skin.
You don’t feel nervous. Not with him. Not when he’s looking at you like you’re the only thing in the world worth worshipping.
He reaches up again, eyes on yours, and slowly undoes the clasp at your back. The straps fall from your shoulders, and you feel the heat of his gaze like a second touch.
Then he’s on you again—his hands, his mouth, trailing worship down your neck, your shoulder, the dip of your spine. But softer now. Calmer. Like he knows what’s coming next.
“C’mon,” he murmurs, hand finding yours. “Water’s gonna get cold.”
"Eager, are we?" You mumble and slowly slide your panties off, letting them drop to the floor. Tommy’s arms tighten around your waist, steadying you, but then he sighs softly, almost like he’s holding his breath.
You glance over your shoulder, catching his gaze just before it flickers away, a shadow of hesitation in his eyes.
“What are you still doing with your clothes on?” you tease, voice low, breath warm against his skin.
His lips twitch into a small smile, but there’s a spark of mischief there, too.
“That,” he murmurs, “isn’t gonna be a problem.”
Slowly, deliberately, he begins peeling off his own clothes, one piece at a time. His shirt slips off his shoulders, revealing the scars and lean muscle beneath. His jeans follow, folding on the floor beside yours.
You slide down into the bath, the warm water enveloping your skin, steam curling around you like a soft blanket.
Just as you settle in, feeling the tension in your muscles begin to ease, Tommy steps in behind you, letting the water lap around his legs.
His hands find your hips, steadying you as you lean back against him, the warmth of his bare chest pressing into your back.
You rest your head on his shoulder, eyes closing for a moment as his breath fans across your neck.
Naked and vulnerable, but safe.
He wraps his arms around you, fingers tracing lazy circles along your sides, and you feel a quiet comfort in the way he holds you—like he’s never going to let go.
His mouth lands on your shoulder blade, carefully nibbling and trailing kisses there.
You gasp and lean backwards further, Tommy takes this as a green light.
His hands roam freely over your torso until they reach your breasts, wrapping them in a teasing squeeze and playing with them.
“Jeez, Tommy… Hmm…”
“‘Hmm’ indeed baby… just relax”
His warm breath sends shivers down your spine as he trails kisses along your shoulder, moving his lips to the sensitive skin of your neck. His hands roam over your breasts, cupping and kneading the soft flesh, thumbs brushing over your nipples as they harden in response.
"Mmm, you feel so good, baby... I could touch you all day," he murmurs, his voice husky with desire.
One hand slides lower, fingers skimming your belly button before dipping beneath the water to explore the warm, slick skin of your thighs.
“I love how responsive you are to my touch. You make me crazy with want, darling."
His other hand continues to play with your nipples, rolling and pinching the sensitive buds as he nips at your earlobe. The water in the tub laps gently at your sides, but all your attention is focused on Tommy's skilled fingers and the pleasure they're creating.
As in autopilot, your legs squeeze together, searching for some kind of friction.
He chuckles low in his throat, sensing your need. His fingers trail up your inner thighs, teasing you with brushes against your sensitive flesh before finally settling on your slick, heated core. You open your legs almost instantly. lHe parts your lips with a finger, circling your clit in slow, deliberate strokes.
"Oh, you're so ready for me, aren't you? You always become this quiet when your needy," he praises, his voice tinged with lust.
You just respond with a groan, half-annoyed at his teasing and half-aroused.
As if in response he begins to rub your clit more firmly, the pleasure mounting quickly. Your breath hitches.
"You like that, baby? You like when I touch you just like this?"
You moan shakily in response and he notices your increasing squirms, smiling to himself and knowing he's getting close to making you come. He leans in to whisper in your ear, his hot breath sending shivers down your spine.
"I love watching you lose control like this. It's so fucking sexy.”
God, you loved his dirty talk and he knew it, using it to his own advantage.
Tommy's own arousal is evident, his hardness pressing insistently against your backside as he grinds against you.
"That's it, just give in to it. Let me make you feel good, baby. You know I'll take care of you," he assures you, his fingers never ceasing their relentless teasing of your clit.
He dips a finger inside you, curling it to stroke that sensitive spot within as his thumb continues its maddening circles on your clit. You respond with a loud moan while grabbing his wrist abruptly and forcing his finger deeper inside of you.
The water in the tub sloshes gently with your movements, but Tommy's focus is solely on bringing you to the brink of ecstasy.
He catches your clue and inserts another finger. His other hand continues to palm your breast, rolling the nipple between his fingers as he continues to drive you wild with pleasure.
Not caring about the mess the water was making outside the tub anymore you back your hips, following his movements and trusting him deeper.
Your urgent movements only spur him on, and he increases the intensity of his strokes, fingers plunging deeper into your wet heat as his thumb presses harder against your throbbing clit.
"Yeah, just like that, baby. Fuck yourself on my fingers, show me how much you need it," he encourages, his own arousal growing with each of your desperate thrusts.
He leans in closer, his lips brushing the shell of your ear as he murmurs,
"I'm going to make you come so hard, girl. You will scream my name and I'll fill you up with my cock afterwards."
The dark promises only made you get even closer, you couldn’t think straight anymore.
“Please… please Tommy. Make me come… please…”
The desperate plea in your voice is like music to his ears, and he responds by driving his fingers deep inside you, curling them to stroke that sweet spot within as his thumb presses firmly against your clit.
"That's it, baby, let it happen. I've got you, I won't stop until you're screaming," he promises, his own voice husky with lust.
He continues his relentless pace, feeling your walls clench and flutter around his fingers as your orgasm rapidly approaches. The water in the tub churns with your movements, and Tommy's free hand roams over your throat to apply just the right amount of pleasure.
As he feels your climax building, he leans in his head from behind, searching you. His mouth brushes yours as you turn your head towards him. He captures your lips in a searing kiss, his tongue delving deep to taste you as he brings you to the precipice.
"Come for me, princess," he growls against your mouth.
“Fuck, Tommy…” you moan into his mouth.
The moment you reach your peak, he increases the pressure and pace, fingers pumping in and out of you as his thumb rubs firm circles on your clit. He feels your walls clench and ripple around his fingers.
"That's it, baby, let it all out. I've got you, I'll catch you," he murmurs, his own voice thick with lust as he helps ride out the waves of your climax.
As the final tremors and whimpers subside, he gentles his touch, pulling his fingers from your still-quivering heat with a slick sound. He brings them to his lips, tasting you with a low groan of appreciation.
"Delicious," he praises while he tilts his head down, his eyes locking onto yours with a smoldering intensity.
You finally relax every muscle in your body and lean back in his chest while gasping for air.
“You okay, sweetheart?” Tommy asks while looking down at you.
You hum in response just to shift your position and sit on his lap, straddling him.
Tommy's eyes lit up with desire as he gazed up at you, his hands coming to rest on your hips. His thumbs brushed gently against your sides as he looked at you with a playful, loving expression.
"Well, well... Looks like someone's ready for round two, huh?" he teased in a low, husky tone, his erection pressing insistently against your belly.
“That was just an appetizer honey, you should know that,” you tease him back with a sly grin. “Need to take care of you too…”
He bit his lower lip in response.
"I think I can accommodate that." With an aroused look, Tommy wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you in closer, his lips trailing kisses along your collarbone as he spoke.
"Mmm, you taste even sweeter than the bubbles we're soaking in, baby." He nipped at your skin, his hot breath sending shivers down your spine as his hands began to roam over your body once more, exploring and caressing every curve.
"Let's see if we can make this bath even more... eventful.”
You lifted your hips slightly, just enough to give him space to slide himself in.
Tommy's eyes flashed with anticipation as he watched you, his cock twitching with eagerness. As you lowered yourself onto him, he let out a low groan, his fingers digging into the flesh of your hips.
"Fuck, girl... You feel amazing," he murmured, his voice strained with pleasure as you enveloped him in your warmth.
"So tight and wet... Just perfect." Tommy slowly thrust up to meet you, his length stretching and filling you completely as he savored the sensation of being inside you.
“God, Tommy…”
His hands slid up your back to twine in your hair, tugging gently to tilt your head back and expose the tender skin of your throat. He leaned in to press hot, open-mouthed kisses along your jawline, his hips beginning to rock in a slow, sensual rhythm.
“Fuck… you look so sexy when you ride me…” he muttered in between some groans of pleasure.
He continued to thrust upwards, his movements gentle at first, gradually picking up speed as his desire grew. The water sloshed around you, creating a sensual backdrop for your intimate encounter. Tommy's hands slid up your sides to cup your breasts, his thumbs brushing over your nipples as he continued to pump into you.
"That's it, baby... Take all of me,"
You couldn’t think, couldn’t talk, couldn’t do anything else except bounce on him, moaning like your life depended on it.
Tommy's eyes rolled back in bliss as you continued to move on his thick shaft, the water splashing around you in rhythmic time with your movements. His hands roamed over your body, squeezing and caressing every inch of exposed skin he could reach.
"Oh, damn princess... You're driving me wild," he panted, his breathing growing heavier as his arousal mounted. "Your tight little pussy feels like heaven wrapped around me."
He picked up the pace, meeting your bounces thrust for thrust. The sound of skin slapping against skin filled the air, mingling with your moans and his grunts of pleasure.
"That's it, baby... Ride me hard. Show me how much you want it," Tommy growled, his own climax building at the base of his spine. "I'm gonna fill you up so good when I cum... You ready for that?”
“Fuck yes… please…” you muttered.
Tommy's grip on your hips tightened as he felt your words ignite his passion even further. With a deep, primal growl, he surged up into you, his thick length hitting that sweet spot inside you that made your toes curl.
"Fuck yeah, baby... Take it all" he roared, his thrusts becoming erratic and powerful as he chased his release. "I'm gonna cum so deep inside you... You're gonna be dripping with it."
The feeling of his hot, pulsing seed filling you up was intense, and Tommy's pleasure reached a boiling point. He buried himself to the hilt, grinding against you as he emptied himself inside your welcoming body.
You tensed around him, the whole scenario made you reach your peak again: his grunts, flushed cheeks, curses of ecstasy, and the feel of him dripping inside of you… God.
"Honey... Oh god, Tommy!" You cried out, your voice raw with ecstasy.
"So good... You're so fucking good to me." Tommy collapsed back against the tub, panting heavily as he tried to catch his breath. He wrapped his arms around you to pull you against his chest, holding you close as he savored the afterglow of their intense lovemaking.
Your breathing is still uneven, shallow and fast against his skin. Tommy’s chest rises and falls beneath you, damp with sweat and steam, arms wrapped tightly around your waist like he’s afraid de soltarte demasiado pronto.
His lips brush your temple—barely a kiss, more like a sigh against your skin. You can feel his heart still pounding through his ribs, slow and heavy now, settling down along with yours.
“So good,” he murmurs again, voice rough, low. “You’re so fucking good to me.”
You shift just slightly, only enough to lift your head and look at him. His eyes are half-lidded but soft, focused entirely on you. You kiss the base of his throat gently, and he hums in contentment.
For a few long moments, neither of you moves. The bathroom is quiet, save for the gentle crackle of candle flames and the distant creak of old pipes. The water laps softly around your bodies, now barely lukewarm.
Then Tommy blinks, his brow furrowing slightly.
“…Wait.”
You glance up at him.
He lifts his head, peers over the edge of the tub—then lets it fall back with a groan.
“Aw, hell.”
You twist around to look too, and—
Yeah. The entire bathroom floor is soaked. A full lake has formed beneath the tub, creeping under the cabinet, seeping into the old rug, glistening in the candlelight.
“Shit,” you mutter, covering your mouth with your hand, trying not to laugh.
Tommy sighs dramatically. “I spent an hour running that bath.”
You grin at him, still breathless. “You also spent twenty minutes rocking the entire tub.”
He raises an eyebrow at you. “I wasn’t the only one rocking.”
You swat his shoulder.
He chuckles and kisses your forehead again, then rubs a hand down your back, gentle and lazy. “Guess I’m moppin’ later.”
“Guess you are.”
“Worth it, though.”
You hum against his chest, closing your eyes. “Yeah. It really was.”
At some point, the laughter settles, and you both go quiet again, chest to chest, skin to skin, half-submerged in the now-lukewarm water. The candles flicker softly around you, their wax melting in lazy drips.
Then you speak, your voice sleepy and amused against his collarbone.
“We’ve been in this damn tub forever... and we didn’t even bathe.”
Tommy chuckles, a low sound deep in his chest. “Yeah, well. Priorities.”
You groan softly, nuzzling into his skin. “We smell like horse, sweat, and now candle smoke.”
He presses a kiss to your shoulder and shifts beneath you. “Alright, alright. Let’s wash for real before Joel walks in here someday and finds us pickled.”
You snort and pull away, slowly, limbs heavy and warm. You both get up, the water sloshing as you step out carefully onto the soaked floor. Tommy grabs a towel and hands it to you first with a boyish little “your highness” kind of grin.
And then you both shower.
No rush this time. No games. Just warm water over tired bodies, fingers scrubbing gently, shared smiles and soft kisses under the stream. You help him get the soap out of his hair. He runs his hands along your back with a tenderness that makes your chest ache in the best way. There’s something holy in it—simple, small, but holy.
When you step out, the mirror’s fogged over, your hair dripping, his towel slung low on his hips as he reaches for a second one to toss your way.
“I’ll go grab something to wear,” you mumble, wrapping it around yourself.
“Top drawer,” he says. “Shirts that don’t fit me anymore. I keep ‘em for sentimental value and situations just like this.”
You grin.
…
Tommy’s room smells like him.
Wood. Leather. Clean cotton. You walk in slowly, the floor creaking under your bare feet. Everything about the room is modest, a little messy but lived-in. Comfortable.
You open the drawer he mentioned and pull out a worn grey shirt, one that’s softened over time and clearly stretched at the collar. It smells faintly of soap and him and sun.
You slip it on, no bra underneath, and it falls low over your thighs, practically a dress on you. You breathe in once, deeply. It feels like home.
On your way to the kitchen, you pause in the hallway, glancing toward the bathroom.
Tommy is there—kneeling on the soaked floor, trying to mop up the water with an old towel and swearing under his breath. His hair is wet and sticking up in every direction, towel still around his hips.
You press your lips together to stifle a laugh.
“You look like a raccoon trying to clean up a crime scene.”
He shoots you a mock glare over his shoulder. “Go eat your damn crepes.”
You blow him a kiss and keep walking.
…
The kitchen is dim but cozy, the late afternoon light seeping through the curtains. The plate of crepes is still on the table—slightly sad-looking now, a little cold, edges curling. But you sit down and pull one toward you anyway.
They’re thin, messy, and kind of undercooked. But they’ve got honey and fruit inside, and you don’t care. You take a bite, and your eyes flutter shut.
It’s perfect.
When Tommy finally walks in, his towel gone, a pair of worn sweatpants clinging to his hips, his chest bare and still damp, he finds you there: curled up in one of his chairs, sleeves of his shirt draped over your hands, eating cold crepes like it’s the best thing in the world.
He pauses in the doorway for a second, like he’s committing it to memory.
Then he crosses the room and drops a kiss to the top of your head before collapsing into the chair beside you.
“Any good?” he asks.
You glance at him and smile. “Terrible.”
He laughs, and you feed him a piece anyway. He chews, shrugs. “Yeah, they suck.”
“They’re perfect.”
He looks at you then, really looks—hair still wet, cheeks pink from the shower, your legs folded beneath you, his oversized shirt swallowing your frame. And he just… smiles. Not the crooked, teasing one he always wears. A real one. Quiet. Full.
And somehow, without needing to say it out loud, you both know you’ll remember this afternoon for a long, long time.
hiii same anon who requested patrick bateman x neurodivergent s/o!! do u think u can try sum headcanons for patrick (yet again) with an asexual (specifically sex repulsed) s/o?? u dont have to if you want this totally isnt self indulgent wdym /j
thank you sm for this request, i had way too much fun with it honestly 🫣 the dynamic got a bit dark, a bit tender, a bit confusing (just like patrick's brain) — but it was such an interesting angle to explore. hope you enjoy these!! 🖤 also — self-indulgent?? babe that’s the point. keep them coming /pos
Summary: Patrick starts dating you for the aesthetic — beautiful, composed, easy to show off. But your quiet defiance of his expectations, your disinterest in sex, and the way you actually listen to him begin to unravel something deeper (and much more dangerous) in him. It's not just about control anymore.

“Perfect girlfriend” material — but something he can’t pin down:
Patrick starts dating you because you’re ideal: Clean. Attractive. Polished enough to walk into any restaurant on his arm without making him look ridiculous.
You’re quiet. Composed. Predictable. You fit. You’re safe.
But it doesn’t take long for something to feel... off.
You don’t smile at the right moments. You don’t try to charm his friends. You ask strange questions — precise, thoughtful, out of place at rooftop cocktail parties. You listen more than you speak.
It fucks with him.
Most women perform. You observe. And worse — you observe him. Sometimes you tilt your head when he talks, like you're dissecting his sentences. Like you’re cataloguing something. Testing him.
He tells himself he doesn't care. But he finds himself replaying conversations with you. Watching you more closely than he should.
You were supposed to be an accessory. Now you’re starting to feel like a variable. And Patrick Bateman hates variables.
The “perfect” night — with a goal in mind:
Patrick doesn’t believe in romance. But he knows how to perform it.
Dinner at an exclusive place. Wine he barely tastes. A perfectly calculated smile across the table. Everything choreographed.
He holds the door open. Pays the bill. Laughs at your jokes. The whole “boyfriend of the year” act — all just steps toward the bedroom.
You look incredible. You’re quiet. Composed. Beautiful. Why wouldn’t he want to fuck you?
He gets you back to the penthouse. Lighting set low. Music playing at the right volume. He hands you a drink and kisses your neck, already imagining what you’ll look like stripped down.
And then: “I’m really tired. Can we not?” You say it softly. Calmly. Like you’re asking to skip dessert. Like this wasn’t the moment.
It fucks with him again.
You don’t flinch. You don’t explain. You just set a boundary — clean, quiet, absolute.
He freezes. Only for a second.
Then the smile returns. Soft. Charming. Mechanical.
“Of course.”
He kisses your temple like it doesn’t bother him. Like he’s fine. Like he’s not raging underneath.
He doesn’t show it. But inside? Something cracks.
Trying to convince himself — and failing:
After that night, Patrick tells himself it wasn’t his fault. He’s flawless. If anything, she is the one who’s off.
So he brushes it aside. Blames her mood, the timing, something outside of himself.
He tries again. And again. Each time, the answer stays the same — a quiet, unyielding no. No anger. No explanations. Just a firm boundary.
It unsettles him. Gnaws at his confidence. Breaks the neat image he’s built around himself.
He becomes colder. More distant. His once effortless charm turns hollow, his smiles sharper, colder.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” he wonders silently. He masks the frustration, but it simmers beneath the surface.
Some nights, he contemplates escape. Flashy parties. Women who want him without questions. Prostitutes to fill the void.
But he never goes. Instead, he locks himself in the bathroom, shuts the door tight, and relieves the tension alone. The act is mechanical. Empty. Frustrating.
He hates that. But it’s the only way he can handle the growing disconnect.
The breaking point — and the question he can’t avoid:
A month in, Patrick’s patience is gone. He wonders — every day — why he hasn’t just gone to a prostitute already. It would be easier. Cleaner. No questions. No boundaries.
But something keeps him tethered. The tension — the silent rejection — it’s not just in their relationship. It’s bleeding into everything.
His murders become more frequent. More violent. Bloodier. It’s like he’s trying to vent the frustration he can’t put into words.
He barely sleeps. He barely thinks straight. And then, one night — after weeks of silent suffering — it all collapses.
He sits across from you, eyes dark and unguarded. The mask slips. “What’s wrong with you?”
But inside, he’s asking himself, too. Am I the problem? Is it me? Why won’t she want me?
The question haunts him. The doubt eats at him. He’s lost control. And he hates it.
The explanation — and his cold compromise:
You finally tell him. You don’t want to, but you have to.
You explain it gently. Slowly. Your voice is calm, but your chest feels tight.
You tell him you’re asexual. Not just disinterested — repulsed by sex. It’s not a phase. It’s not about him.
You care about him. Deeply. You love him, even. But you’ll never want that. Not with anyone. Not even him.
He stares at you. Blank. Too quiet. Too still. So you keep going —
You say you understand if that’s not something he can live with. You say you won’t hold it against him if he decides to leave. You even say you’d get it. Your voice cracks just a little when you say that.
For a long moment, he says nothing. Just that empty, unreadable face.
Then: “I’m not leaving.” His tone is flat. Icy. Final.
You want to believe it means something. You try to. But what you don’t hear — what he doesn’t say — is louder.
Inside, Patrick’s already weighing the optics. Ditching his girlfriend after six weeks? Bad look. People talk. Paul Allen would talk. So he says, “We’ll talk more later.”
And as he reaches for his coat: “I have to return some videotapes.”
No more performance — just the raw version of him:
Something shifts after your conversation. It clicks in his head: You’re not going to sleep with him. Ever.
So why bother with the charade? No more fancy restaurants. No more flowers. No more effort.
The “boyfriend” mask peels back, piece by piece. He stops trying to impress you. He doesn’t have to.
At first, it means long silences. A lot of mutual ignoring. He works out. You read. He listens to music. You scroll through weird forums.
But somehow, you start finding little overlaps. Horror movies. Old records. The finer points of murder weaponry (in fiction — mostly). You don’t flinch when Leatherface shows up on screen. You don’t ask him to tone down his rants about business cards or Huey Lewis. You just let him be.
And that… unnerves him. He doesn’t feel the need to seduce or manipulate you. You’re just there. Quiet. Calm. Odd.
He tells himself you’re just a background noise. A hobby. A strange little companion. But something about that starts to feel dangerous. Because for once, he’s not pretending. And he’s not sure what that means.
Real connection — and the night it gets too quiet in his head:
You listen to him. Not just nod and smile — you actually listen. You ask about his job, and mean it. You let him ramble about mergers, the market, the lies he tells people. You don’t interrupt. You don’t perform interest. You just are interested.
It’s… unsettling. No one does that. Not did Evelyn. Not Paul. Not even Courtney when she’s drugged into a fake smile.
At first, he files you under: hot friend. Weirdly perceptive. Good taste in movies. Doesn’t care about labels or image.
You’re not like the others. But not in a cliché way — you’re just there, and you see him. Worse: you understand parts of him no one else even notices.
Some nights, he doesn’t bother going back to his own apartment. He sleeps in your bed. Fully clothed. Facing the ceiling.
You both talk until 2 a.m. Sometimes about music. Sometimes about death. Sometimes about nothing.
And then — one night — something happens. He wakes up next to you. No dreams. No urges. He didn’t spend the night picturing your blood on his hands. Or your mouth on him. Or your breath choking out under his grip.
Just… quiet. It startles him. It bothers him. He lays there in the dark, eyes open, staring at the ceiling. Trying to figure out when you stopped being something to consume and became something else entirely.
And he hates not knowing what that “something else” is.
The shift: when outside stops mattering
He used to thrive on events. Dinners. Openings. Award nights. Not for the experience — for the audience.
His girlfriends were props. Well-dressed trophies to prove he was better. Hotter girlfriend = higher status.
But with you? The shine wears off faster. He still brings you around at first. Watches people stare, listens to them whisper. It should be satisfying. But all he feels is boredom.
He cuts nights short. Starts skipping events altogether. No big declarations — he just doesn’t want to go. He tells himself it’s the venue. The crowd. The food.
But the truth? He’s started to like being inside more. At home. With you.
In sweats. With bad lighting. Watching disturbing films and dissecting them like weirdos. With no pressure to impress or be "Patrick Bateman".
For once, he doesn’t feel like a mask. And that should scare him — but instead, it calms him.
The thought he can’t get rid of:
It comes to him in the middle of a completely ordinary night. You’re both on the couch. You’ve got your legs draped over his lap, you’re eating some awful snack food and talking about dreams.
And then it hits him.
He doesn’t want to fuck you right now. He doesn’t want to kill you. He doesn’t want to leave.
He just wants to be here.
It doesn’t feel normal. He’s not used to stillness. No goal, no endgame. Just... this strange, clean hunger to stay close.
So his brain — his sick, rotting, calculating brain — tries to label it. Tries to dissect it.
Is this dependency? Is it obsession? Is it emotional rot?
Or — God forbid — Is this love?
He doesn’t say it. He can’t. The word alone feels filthy.
But something in him clicks, uncomfortably. Like a machine realigning.
And that night, when he goes to sleep next to you — he doesn’t fantasize about your blood. He doesn’t get hard. He doesn’t want anything from you.
He just wants you to still be there when he wakes up.

Part two here
The morning light was soft, golden, spilling through the thin curtains and casting gentle shadows across the room. You were still tangled in the warmth of your blankets when a familiar voice called your name softly, breaking through the quiet of the dawn.
“Hey, get up,” Ellie whispered, her tone light but insistent as she nudged your shoulder gently. “We’ve got chores at the stables today. Joel said to get moving — he left on patrol a while ago.”
You blinked, slowly rousing from sleep, the comfort of the bed making it hard to push yourself up. The words echoed in your mind, the promise of the stables stirring something more than just the routine of daily chores. You thought about Tommy, probably already out there, hands busy with horses, the soft snorts and rustling of hay. The idea made your chest tighten slightly, a quiet flutter beneath your ribs that you tried to ignore.
Ellie’s gaze was steady on you, a small smirk playing at the corners of her lips, like she knew something you weren’t saying. “Come on, it’s already late. You don’t want to be the last one out there, right?”
You let out a small laugh, brushing the hair away from your face. “Alright, alright. I’m up.”
There was something comforting about the morning, the familiar sounds of Jackson waking up—the distant call of birds, the soft creak of wooden porches, the faint thud of hooves against the dirt paths. You swung your legs off the bed, the cold floor greeting your feet, and made your way to the small kitchen.
While you fixed a simple breakfast—a slice of bread, a cup of weak coffee—you felt the weight of the day ahead settle around you. Joel was gone on patrol, like Ellie said. That meant the afternoon was yours. A subtle grin formed on your lips as you thought about what that could mean. No interruptions, no expectations—just time.
The thought made your steps lighter as you joined Ellie by the door. She already had her boots on, hair pulled back in a messy ponytail, looking ready for whatever the day would throw at her.
“Ready?” she asked, her eyes sparkling with mischief and something like sisterly fondness.
You nodded, swallowing the last bite of your bread. “Ready.”
Together, you stepped outside into the crisp morning air, the sun climbing higher and painting the sky in hues of soft pink and orange. The scent of fresh earth and hay wrapped around you, grounding you as you headed toward the stables—where Tommy would be waiting.
The moment you stepped outside, a sharp chill hit your skin, making you shiver as the cool morning air wrapped around you like a rough wool blanket.
“Man, it’s freezing,” Ellie muttered, pulling her jacket tighter around her. You nodded, rubbing your hands together to chase away the cold as you both started down the dusty path toward the stables.
Your mind was still half-dreaming, sluggish from sleep and the warmth you’d just left behind. The world around you felt hazy, the sound of your boots crunching on gravel somehow distant, as Ellie’s voice pulled you slowly back to reality.
“Hey,” she said casually, almost as if she didn’t expect an answer, “do you think Uncle Tommy… you know, will let us ride the horses after we finish cleaning the stables? Like, after we take care of all the work there?”
Her question hung in the air, simple but charged, and it snapped you fully awake. You turned to look at her, blinking in surprise.
“What?” you asked, your voice still thick with sleep. “Uh… I don’t know. I guess we could ask him, though… I mean, I’m not sure.”
As you walked, your thoughts began to swirl quietly in your mind, like whispers you didn’t want anyone else to hear.
Uncle Tommy… you thought, that’s supposed to be my uncle, right? Joel’s brother. But why is it that I feel this way about him? Like, not just family… but something else entirely?
You shook the thought away, trying to focus on the crunch of gravel beneath your feet and the cold morning air, but the feeling lingered like a secret tucked deep inside you—something you weren’t quite ready to admit, even to yourself.
The walk toward the stables stretched on in a comfortable silence. Ellie’s footsteps fell beside yours, but her mind seemed elsewhere, drifting in that half-asleep haze that comes with early mornings. She barely glanced your way, lost in her own thoughts or maybe just enjoying the cold air brushing her face. You didn’t mind. Sometimes the quiet was the kind of company you needed most.
Your own thoughts wandered too, tangled up in the way Tommy’s presence made your heart skip without even being near him yet. The chill in the air helped sharpen your senses, and the crunch of gravel underfoot marked the steady pace toward the familiar wooden building that housed the horses and the smells of hay and leather.
As you turned the last corner, the stables came into view. The big barn doors were wide open, and inside, Tommy was there, his sleeves rolled up as he carefully cleaned a horse’s coat. The horse, a strong bay with deep brown eyes, stood patiently, trusting.
When Tommy’s gaze lifted and landed on you both, something shifted. His eyes locked on you first, lingering for a moment longer than usual. There was a softness there—quiet and almost tender—that made your breath hitch slightly. You met his gaze, feeling the warmth of it even through the cool morning air.
After a few seconds, he shifted his attention to Ellie, who, noticing the look, straightened up and gave him a small wave.
“Morning, Tommy,” Ellie said casually, her voice steady.
Tommy’s face broke into a brief, easy smile as he returned the greeting. “Hey, Ellie.”
He then stepped forward, brushing a strand of hair back from his forehead, his eyes flicking back to you just once more before turning fully to the task at hand.
You felt your heart beat a little faster as he moved closer, the sound of the horse’s soft snorts filling the quiet space between you all. Ellie chatted on about the chores waiting, but you found yourself watching Tommy, the way his hands worked gently but with purpose, and how the morning sun caught the color in his eyes just right.
It was a moment suspended in time—simple, yet charged with something unspoken, something only you seemed to notice.
Tommy glanced over at Ellie, his Texas drawl rolling easy and calm as he said, “You can go ahead and start on the stables out back.”
Ellie nodded, already turning toward the row of stalls at the far end, her boots kicking up little puffs of dust.
Then Tommy’s eyes shifted back to you, a small, knowing smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. “And you… you can help me with this big guy here.” He nodded toward the horse he’d been cleaning, a huge, muscular beast that seemed calm and patient. “We’ll finish him up together, and then you can take care of the others.”
Ellie disappeared around the corner, and suddenly the world felt quieter, the space between you and Tommy shrinking in a way that made your heart flutter. You hesitated a moment before stepping closer, your smile shy and small.
Tommy’s voice dropped to a low whisper, just loud enough for you as he leaned in slightly, making sure Ellie wasn’t nearby anymore. “How’s it goin’, darling?”
You blinked, a soft chuckle escaping you. “Hey… it’s good. Just—just trying not to mess up.”
He gave a low laugh, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “Don’t worry, I got you.”
You bit your lip, glancing down for a second before meeting his gaze again. “How’re you doin’?”
Tommy shrugged with a grin. “Same as always. Busy as hell, but I’m hangin’ in there.”
You nodded, then added quietly, “Joel’s gonna be out on patrol all day, I think.”
Tommy’s smile softened, and he gave a knowing look. “Yeah, I know. Funny how it works out, huh? You get stuck at the stables, and he’s off somewhere on patrol.”
You raised an eyebrow. “You have a say in who gets what chores or something?”
He chuckled, the sound deep and warm. “Let’s just say I got a little pull around here when it comes to choosing tasks.”
You smiled, feeling the warmth of his gaze and the easy comfort between you both.
You wiped a bit of dirt off the horse’s flank, then looked up at Tommy with a curious smile. “So… how long is that route you gave Joel?”
Tommy glanced over at you, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Long enough to make sure I get to spend the whole evening with my favorite girl — without any old man butting in.”
You laughed softly, nudging him with your shoulder. “You know he hates it when someone calls him ‘old man.’”
He chuckled, shaking his head. “Yeah, well… that’s just how it goes.”
For a moment, the quiet between you was comfortable, filled with the sounds of the horse shifting beneath your hands and the faint rustle of the stable. Then Tommy’s smile grew softer, more genuine, and he added, “You’re lucky he trusts me enough to send him out like that.”
You met his gaze, feeling the warmth behind his words. “I guess I am.”
The horse shifted again, and you returned your attention to brushing its coat, but the simple closeness, the ease of being with Tommy in this quiet morning, made your heart feel lighter than it had in a long time.
You continued brushing the horse’s glossy coat, the rhythm of your strokes steady and soothing. The morning light streamed in through the barn doors, casting golden slivers across the hay-strewn floor.
Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed Tommy step back just a bit, moving quietly behind you. You didn’t turn to look, but felt the shift in the air—a warm presence suddenly right behind you.
Tommy’s hands settled gently on your waist, steadying you, and before you could say anything, his lips found the sensitive skin at the curve of your neck. His kisses were soft at first, teasing, warm against the cold morning chill.
You tensed, the sudden intimacy making your breath catch. “Tommy,” you whispered, trying to keep your voice low, “what are you doing? Ellie’s still around—we could get caught.”
His hands tightened just slightly, grounding you, and he murmured against your skin, “She won’t see us. I made sure she’s far enough. Besides, what’s the fun if we’re always worried about getting caught?”
You glanced back just slightly, heart pounding. “Really, Tommy, if she spots us, it’s over. She’ll never let us hear the end of it.”
He chuckled softly, lips still trailing little fires along your neck. “You gotta learn to relax, darling.”
You tried to pull away, but his hands held you gently in place, turning you around. “Relax? You’re the one making it impossible.”
He grinned, voice low and playful. “Maybe I like the challenge.”
A soft sigh escaped you as his lips moved lower, and his hands slid just a little, reassuring and warm. “If you want, I can teach you how to calm down… how to just be here, with me.”
Your breath hitched again, and despite yourself, a small smile tugged at your lips. “I might need lessons, then.”
He pulled back just enough to look at you, his eyes shining with something tender and mischievous all at once. “Well, you’ve got the best teacher in Jackson.”
You laughed quietly, shaking your head as he leaned in once more, his kisses trailing slowly down your neck, and the world outside that old stable faded away until there was nothing but the two of you—warm, tangled, and quietly electric.
Tommy’s hands traced slow, gentle circles along your back, his breath warm against your skin as his lips brushed lightly over your neck. He pulled back just enough to look at you, eyes soft but full of that familiar teasing spark.
“You could tell her,” he murmured, voice low, almost a whisper.
You blinked, heart fluttering in your chest. “Tell who? Ellie?”
He nodded, fingers threading through your hair as he kissed you again, slower this time, more deliberate.
“Yeah,” he said between kisses, his lips grazing yours lightly, “you could tell her.”
You pulled back a little, resting your forehead against his, breath mingling. “I don’t know if I should…”
Tommy smiled, brushing his thumb over your cheek, gentle and reassuring. “She’s almost like your sister, right? And a good friend. I don’t think she’d say anything to Joel.”
You swallowed hard, the words stirring a mix of hope and doubt. “Maybe… maybe she wouldn’t. But what if she does?”
His hands slid lower, resting firmly on your hips as he kissed you again, this time tracing soft patterns along your jaw with his lips.
“Everything would be easier if she knew, darling.”
You closed your eyes, a small sigh escaping you as he nuzzled your neck, his hands warm and steady.
“I’m not so sure,” you whispered, your voice trembling just a little.
He chuckled softly, pressing a tender kiss to your temple. “Relax. I’m here.”
Another pause, filled only by the sounds of the stable—the distant snort of the horse, your breathing mingling with his.
Then, his voice lowered again, full of promise. “So, how about this afternoon?”
You opened your eyes, looking up at him through the soft light.
He smiled, that slow, sure smile that made your heart skip. “Come by my place. We’ll have some time alone. No interruptions. Just us.”
Your cheeks flushed, and you hesitated, biting your lip before nodding slowly.
“Sounds perfect,” you breathed.
Tommy leaned in again, his lips warm and inviting, trailing kisses along your collarbone as he whispered, “It’s a date.”
Tommy pulled back just slightly from your neck, then leaned in once more, pressing a slow, deep kiss to your lips—gentle, lingering, nothing rushed, but full of everything unspoken between you two.
His hands cupped your cheeks softly, thumbs brushing along your skin as he pulled back just enough to look into your eyes.
A small, warm smile spread across his face, and he whispered, “Alright, let’s get back to work. I don’t think anyone’s buying that we can spend this long washing a horse.”
His voice was teasing, full of irony, and you couldn’t help but laugh softly.
He reached for the reins of the big horse you’d been tending, guiding it slowly toward the deeper stalls of the barn.
You followed close behind, your heart still fluttering from the moment you’d just shared.
You were heading deeper into the stable to grab a tool, Tommy putting the horse back in its stall, when Ellie suddenly stepped aside, heading toward a small tool rack nearby too.
Curious, she glanced over and stopped in her tracks.
“Wow, that horse really left you looking a mess,” she said softly, a small grin playing at her lips.
You touched your hair, a little tousled, and felt the warmth on your cheeks.
"Heh, yeah… it got a bit out of hand,” you replied with a shy laugh, trying to play it cool.
Ellie just nodded and smirked quietly, not saying anything more.
The moment passed gently, and you both went back to your tasks, the quiet sounds of the stable wrapping around you like a soft, familiar blanket.

The “refined” movie night that backfires instantly:
Patrick invites you over for what he calls a “refined movie night.” He’s thinking wine, minimal lighting, pretentious conversation, and psychological control.
But the movie selection? Brutal. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho, Maniac, that one banned French film he insists is “underrated.”
His plan is simple: you get scared, he gets to play the calm, protective type. He shapes the tone. He controls the narrative. You melt into his arms. He's in control of the situation.
Except you don’t scream. You lean forward with fascination, practically glowing. You're not usually this focused on things.
“God, that’s such a good practical effect,” you murmur while someone gets disemboweled.
He’s sitting next to you in a pristine Valentino suit, gripping his wine glass like it just insulted his skincare routine.
“You like this stuff?” — He can’t process it:
You turn to him, smiling, eyes wide like a kid in a candy store: “Oh my god, thank you for picking this! I love horror.”
He blinks. “You do?”
He wasn’t expecting this. People don’t derail his plans. They follow the script. And now he’s… interested? Confused? Slightly turned on?
Testing your limits (and losing every time):
He recalibrates. Next time, he picks worse. Obscure, underground, ethically questionable horror. The kind of movies that make grown men walk out of theaters.
You? You show up with snacks and a notepad. You’re taking notes. You pause to point out camera angles and obscure references.
Patrick sits there, realizing he can’t shock you. Not the way he wanted to. Not at all.
And it bothers him. But also? He might be obsessed.
Infodump wars. You always win:
You start rambling mid-movie about the use of color theory in Argento films, trauma cycles in slasher narratives, and how 2000s gore was shaped by post-9/11 nihilism.
Your hands move fast when you talk. Your thoughts go faster. You bounce from one film to the next like you’re solving a bloody puzzle.
Patrick tries to pull a signature Bateman move: one of his cold, calculated, vaguely academic film rants.
But before he gets a word out, you go, “Did you know the original ending was cut by the studio for being too bleak?”
He did. Obviously. But the fact that you did? He’s genuinely shaken. Your head is usually everywhere and anywhere at once, what's got into you?
You can’t mansplain horror to an horror brain:
He starts getting visibly irritated every time you finish his sentences or one-up his trivia.
You’re not trying to compete—you’re just excited. But he’s used to being the smartest, the most composed, the one who knows everything. You're always the one who doesn't know, who listens to him. He must be the one on top.
And now you’re sitting there eating popcorn out of the bowl he didn’t want to share, talking about the use of Catholic guilt in The Exorcist, while he rethinks his entire personality.
For the first time in years, Patrick feels like someone’s ahead of him.
It’s a threat. It’s intoxicating.
“That’s a spinal hit.” — The casual overshare:
Halfway through a particularly nasty film, he starts describing a stabbing scene in chilling detail.
“You see how the body slumps forward after the third stab? That’s a spinal hit. Total collapse. Blood flow slows dramatically. It’s surprisingly quiet.”
You pause.
“Patrick?”
“Yes?”
“How do you… know that?”
He doesn’t blink. Just shrugs and goes,
“Read it in a book.”
You’re impressed. “That’s so cool, you’re like… a forensic genius or something.”
“Or something,” he murmurs, sipping his wine like he didn’t just give away a murder method. Jeez, you were too clueless for your own good.
He starts leaving you gifts (that aren’t really gifts):
He begins “accidentally” leaving ultra-rare horror DVDs and violent concept art around his apartment.
“Found this in a shop. It’s out of print. You can borrow it,” he says casually, even though it’s obviously meant for you.
Sketches of gore scenes appear in his drawers. Pages from fake “scripts” with disturbingly real detail. Blood-smeared storyboards from “unreleased” projects.
“This artist is rising fast,” he says. “Don’t show it to anyone else.”
It’s his own work. Maybe even real crime scenes, stylized as horror fiction.
You think it’s the coolest thing ever. He can’t believe you’re not running.
Jealous of fictional killers:
One night you casually say, “Okay but Hannibal Lecter is like… lowkey hot.”
Patrick goes still. "Is he.”
“Yeah! I mean, he’s cultured, articulate, unpredictable. The way he kills—”
His jaw clenches. You don’t notice.
That night he tells you a “story from a novel” about a man who murdered his coworker, cleaned the crime scene, and no one ever found the body.
You’re blown away. “That sounds better than most thrillers I’ve read.”
He smiles, tight-lipped. You just praised his real-life kill as if it were fiction. He’s never felt this validated. That was the biggest turn on he has ever had.
That night he fucked you dumb.
Domestic, but deranged:
The longer this continues, the softer he gets—in his own weird way.
He lets you fall asleep on his couch during movie marathons. Doesn’t even move you. Just lowers the volume and watches you breathe. So cute. Not knowing he had a dead corpse in his fridge.
He reschedules a murder one night because you asked to watch Hereditary again.
When you’re over, he makes sure the fridge is locked. The knives are hidden. Just in case.
He starts thinking about you when he walks past crime scenes. Wonders what you’d say about the blood pattern. About the artistry.
He feels something that might be... respect? Admiration? Affection? Obsession
Whatever it is, it’s terrifying. And he likes it.
He lets you win (which means a lot):
Patrick Bateman does not let people win. But with you, he bites his tongue. Often.
You go on tangents about obscure slasher lore and he doesn’t interrupt. He just watches, amused, borderline awestruck.
You misquote a director once and he almost corrects you—then stops. Smiles slightly. At least you weren't better all the time.
You make him feel like part of something. A shared obsession. Even if you don’t know the full extent of his.
“You’re worse than me.”:
One night, you pass out halfway through a brutal indie horror. You're curled up against him, half a blanket on, limbs everywhere.
The screen glows red from a massacre scene. He looks down at you.
You look peaceful. Safe. Completely unaware of how close you are to a real monster.
“Christ,” he whispers, brushing a lock of hair from your face.
“What's going on in that little head of yours. You're worse than me.”
And for the first time in his life, he says it with something like love.
Hi darling, welcome to the platform ✨
I don't know if you've received any requests yet, if not I'll be the first.
Do you have any cruel, scratchy, twisting fluff with Joel in stock? Maybe a veeery slow morning, or a moment's break from patrol. Lately I can't stop with soft Joel.. and this is what I get in return. Sleepless nights thinking how lovely he would be.
If that's not your style then you definitely don't have to create anything like that, I'm just asking... for a friend :>
omggg thank u sm for your request 🖤🖤 i really liked the idea, it was super cute to write!! hope u like it as much as i liked doing it hehe ✨🫶 enjoyy~

Three days. Three whole days without a single hour of sleep. You’d lost count of how many times you’d blinked through the blurry haze of exhaustion, hoping it would trick your brain into shutting off for even a second. But it never did. The insomnia had crept in quietly, like it always did—at first, just a restless night, then two, and suddenly you were lying wide awake for the third night in a row, your thoughts buzzing, heart racing over nothing and everything at once.
Maybe it was the nightmares you never really talked about. Or the creeping anxiety that came whenever Joel was away too long. Maybe it was just the silence of Jackson after midnight—too still, too safe, too unfamiliar after years of never letting your guard down. Whatever the reason, it had wrapped around you like a cold blanket you couldn’t shake off.
But none of that compared to the worst part.
The worst part was Joel.
Not because of something he did—but because you missed him. Because after all those sleepless hours, all that tossing and turning, you’d finally hear the creak of the front door... and then watch him stumble through the threshold, bone-tired from yet another patrol shift, eyes heavy, shoulders slumped. And before you could even pull him into a hug, he’d barely manage to sit down for dinner, mumble a few words, and then disappear under the covers, asleep within seconds.
You knew it wasn’t his fault. But God, you’d cursed Maria and the whole damn town of Jackson more than once for piling three back-to-back patrols on him. It felt cruel. Unfair. Like they didn’t see what it was doing to him—or to you.
And now, here you were again. Another dawn breaking through the curtains, soft and golden, painting your room in delicate warmth that did little to thaw the ache in your chest. You’d been lying still for hours, eyes wide open, counting the quiet seconds, waiting for the familiar shift beside you.
Any minute now, he’d get up.
And just like that, he stirred.
With a groggy grunt, Joel shifted beneath the covers, one heavy arm stretching across the bed before he blinked his tired eyes open. He turned toward you, hair tousled, beard messy, and looked right into your wide-awake gaze.
“Whatcha doin’ awake, sugar?” he murmured, voice low and rough with sleep.
His hand reached out to brush your cheek, fingers warm against your skin. The touch was gentle, almost reverent, like he knew how fragile you felt—how badly you needed even the smallest bit of him to ground you.
His eyes, though heavy-lidded and bloodshot, softened the moment they met yours.
“Can’t sleep...” you sighed, your voice barely louder than the whisper of wind against the windows.
Joel’s brow furrowed the second the words left your lips. The drowsiness in his expression vanished in an instant, replaced by something sharper—concern. Real, deep concern that tugged at the corners of his mouth and made his eyes go soft and serious.
“You tellin’ me this now?” he mumbled, already pushing himself up a little on one elbow to look at you properly. His gaze flicked toward the window, catching the pale gold light beginning to pour in. “What time is it... almost seven? Jeez, sweetheart...”
You offered a tired smile, then looked away, suddenly shy under the weight of his gaze. “It’s okay. I’ve had a few nights like this already.”
The last part came out quieter, almost hesitant, like you were hoping he wouldn’t catch it—but of course he did. Joel always did.
His arms wrapped around you without hesitation, pulling you in until you were close enough to feel the steady thrum of his heartbeat against your chest. The warmth of his body surrounded you, strong and solid and safe. You let out a long, shaky sigh—finally, in his arms, something inside you eased, just a little.
“Baby,” he said softly, dipping his head to meet your eyes. “Look at me.”
You did. Slowly.
“You gotta call me for this kinda thing. Don’t matter how tired I am, alright?”
You blinked at him, guilt settling in your chest.
“But you come home barely able to keep your eyes open, Joel,” you whispered, brushing your fingers along the curve of his jaw. “Last thing I wanna do is worry you more than you already do—which is a lot, by the way. And it’s not like you could really do anything.”
Joel gave a small huff through his nose. Not quite a laugh. Not quite annoyed. More like... exasperated in that Joel Miller kind of way, where the lines between love and frustration blurred.
“Darlin’,” he said, drawing the word out in that warm Texas drawl of his, “I’m always worried ‘bout you. That ain’t new. But if you’re layin’ here losin’ sleep for nights on end and don’t tell me? That does somethin’ to me. Makes me feel like I ain’t doin’ my job. Like I’m failin’ you.”
You opened your mouth, but he shook his head, gentle but firm.
“Ain’t just about what I can or can’t do, baby. It’s about bein’ here. For you. Even if all I can do is hold you ‘til the sun comes up.”
And with that, he tucked you closer, resting his chin against the top of your head, one hand smoothing along your back in slow, steady strokes. His heartbeat thudded steady and sure beneath your cheek. The silence that followed wasn’t heavy anymore. It was full of warmth, of presence, of quiet promises.
You didn’t have to say anything else.
Wrapped up in his arms, with the weight of his chest rising and falling beneath your cheek, you finally let yourself relax. The tension that had lived in your shoulders for days began to melt away, little by little, as Joel held you close like he didn’t plan on letting go for anything or anyone.
Then came the kisses.
Soft. Unhurried.
He pressed one to the top of your head, then another to your temple. And then a few more across your forehead, like he was mapping out all the parts of you that needed comfort, that needed reminding you weren’t alone. His beard tickled against your skin—just enough to make you smile, eyes fluttering shut as warmth bloomed in your chest.
“Mmh,” you hummed, nuzzling into his neck and planting a lazy kiss against the spot just beneath his ear. It made him sigh, deep and low, like he hadn’t realized how much he needed that too.
“You tryin’ to kill me, sugar?” he murmured with a sleepy smile, voice all gravel and affection.
You smiled against his skin, arms curling tighter around him. “Just sayin’ thank you.”
“Don’t need no thank yous,” he whispered, pressing one last kiss to your hair. “Just need you sleepin’, finally.”
Just as sleep started to pull you under—slow and syrupy, like honey in warm tea—you felt Joel shift slightly, pressing another kiss into your hairline.
You stirred with a small noise, fingers tightening around his shirt.
“Don’t go,” you whispered, voice soft and a little cracked from the edges of sleep. “Please don’t go yet.”
Joel paused.
His hand brushed gently down your spine, his nose buried in your hair for a second before he breathed out a warm chuckle, the kind that rumbled low in his chest.
“I ain’t goin’ nowhere, darlin’,” he murmured, pulling you impossibly closer. “Ain’t got patrol today. M’s all yours.”
That made your eyes flutter open, just enough to meet his. He was already looking at you—messy hair, tired eyes, and the kindest expression written across his face like it belonged there.
“All mine?” you echoed, already smiling as you peppered soft, lazy kisses along the curve of his jaw. Then another to his cheek. His nose. His forehead. The kind of kisses that didn’t ask for anything—just gave and gave.
“Every last bit,” he said, letting out a small groan as you kissed just beneath his eye. “Woman, you keep doin’ that, and I ain’t gettin’ outta this bed all day.”
“Good,” you said between kisses, your voice still sleepy. “That’s the plan.”
Joel smiled again—wide this time, with laugh lines and all.
You pulled back just enough to look at him properly, your hand resting against his chest. There was still a tiredness in your body, but the ache that had wrapped around your heart for the past few nights was gone. He had chased it away without even trying.
“I missed you,” you whispered. Not dramatic, not heavy—just true. Honest.
Joel looked at you like the world had stopped spinning. Then he leaned in and kissed your forehead again, slower this time.
“I missed you too, baby,” he said, his voice rough but full of something so tender it made your throat tighten. “More’n you’ll ever know.”
And as the morning light painted your bedroom in soft gold, tangled in each other under warm blankets, it felt like the world could wait just a little longer.
Because Joel was here. And he wasn’t going anywhere.
He watched you for a long moment, his hand idly tracing slow circles along your back. He could feel how your breathing had steadied, how your body had begun to surrender to the comfort of his presence. But still, you hadn’t quite let go.
“You should sleep, baby,” he said gently, brushing his lips against your forehead once more. “You’re dead on your feet.”
You let out a soft sound—half protest, half sigh—and nuzzled in closer to the crook of his neck.
“I could,” you murmured, voice muffled against his skin, “but I finally have time with you. Not wasting it sleepin’.”
Joel let out a soft chuckle, warm and deep. “Ain’t a waste, darlin’. Ain’t like I’m goin’ anywhere. I’ll be right here when you wake up.”
You pulled back just enough to look at him, eyes still heavy with exhaustion, but stubbornly full of love.
“I know,” you whispered, fingers brushing lightly through the curls at the nape of his neck. “But it’s not the same. You’ve been out there for days. I missed this. You. The way you hold me. The way you kiss me like you don’t gotta rush off in five minutes.”
He smiled—slow and crooked—and leaned in to kiss the tip of your nose.
“Well,” he drawled, that Southern lilt wrapping around every word like molasses, “reckon we’ve got the whole damn day now. No rush. Just us.”
You grinned at that, soft and sleepy, and kissed the corner of his mouth. Then his jaw. Then the spot under his ear again, just because you knew he liked it.
“Then I’m not sleepin’,” you murmured against his skin. “Not yet.”
Joel wrapped both arms around you again, burying his face in your hair, and let out a contented sigh.
“Ain’t no arguin’ with you, is there?”
“Nope,” you whispered with a smile. “None at all.”
The two of you stayed like that for what felt like forever.
No words. No rush. Just the rise and fall of his chest beneath your cheek, his hand stroking your back with slow, sleepy affection, your fingers drawing lazy patterns along the soft cotton of his worn T-shirt.
Time didn’t exist in that moment—not really. It was just warmth, and comfort, and the quiet kind of closeness that only comes when two people know each other by heart.
Eventually, Joel shifted beneath you, pressing a kiss to your forehead before murmuring, “Alright. Stay put, sugar.”
You blinked up at him, confused and a little pouty at the sudden loss of warmth. “Where are you goin’?”
He leaned in to kiss you slow and soft, his hand cupping your jaw. “To the kitchen. Gonna make you somethin’ to eat. You need food, not just cuddles.”
“But I like the cuddles,” you mumbled sleepily, nuzzling into the spot where his neck met his shoulder.
Joel huffed a laugh, brushing his thumb across your cheek. “You’ll get more. Just let me spoil you a little, alright?”
You groaned softly but nodded, letting him slip out from under the blankets. The bed felt colder without him, but your heart stayed warm. You could hear him moving around the kitchen—opening cabinets, clinking pans, the occasional low mutter when something didn’t behave the way he wanted it to.
It was oddly soothing, hearing him out there. Like the world was still turning, but only in the safest, quietest way.
And then, fifteen minutes later, he was back.
You sat up a little, rubbing your eyes, as Joel walked in carefully with a tray in hand. Two plates, steaming gently. A couple of mugs. Toast, eggs, something that smelled suspiciously like bacon—slightly overcooked, but perfect all the same.
He set the tray down on the nightstand and gave you a proud little smirk.
“Not bad for an old man runnin’ on no sleep,” he said, climbing back onto the bed and nudging the tray toward you.
You laughed softly, taking one of the mugs into your hands. Coffee, of course. Just the way you liked it. “You’re not old.”
Joel raised an eyebrow. “Sweetheart, I make noises when I sit down.”
You giggled, shaking your head, and leaned over to kiss his cheek. “You make noises that make me feel safe. That’s different.”
He gave you a look full of something that could only be described as love. Pure and unguarded. The kind he didn’t always show with words, but always made sure you felt.
The two of you ate slowly, sitting side by side in bed, legs tangled beneath the sheets. There were no big conversations. Just quiet bites, shared smiles, and soft touches between sips of coffee. Every so often, Joel would steal a kiss or stroke his thumb across your wrist, like he needed to keep reminding himself that you were really there. That he didn’t have to rush off.
When you were finished, he gathered the empty plates with care and gave you one more kiss—this one long and full of everything he didn’t say aloud.
“I’ll be right back,” he murmured against your lips.
You nodded, already sinking back against the pillows, your body heavy with comfort and full belly warmth.
Joel took the tray and walked out, humming something low under his breath as he disappeared down the hall. You listened to the quiet clatter of dishes in the kitchen, the water running, the soft sounds of him taking care of everything the way he always did—with quiet devotion.
By the time he returned, the room was still, golden light pouring in across the bed.
And you were asleep.
Curled beneath the blanket, your breathing deep and slow, lips parted just slightly. One hand still rested on his pillow, like you’d reached for him even as you drifted off.
Joel stood in the doorway for a long moment, watching you with something heavy and tender in his chest.
He crossed the room quietly, careful not to wake you, and sat on the edge of the bed. Brushed a piece of hair from your forehead. Let his fingers linger there for a second longer than they needed to.
“Sweet dreams, baby,” he whispered, voice thick with something he didn’t bother hiding anymore.
And then he lay back down beside you, careful and slow, wrapping an arm around your waist as if he could guard your sleep from everything—nightmares, the cold, the past.
The world could wait.
You were safe. And he was home.
