I still really love this one. It’s a shame that I never went back to it. I always had this Image in mind of Nesta dancing with death. Though, the dress needs lots of work.

Evil Elain Archeron:

This idea came straight after the evil Valkyries. I had pictured Elain to be so mentally messed up that she would gradually force the Night Court to be a Court of sun and light- meaning she managed to take over the Night Court and killed bunch of people who thrive in darkness and mistreated all those who don’t have a bright aura to them. It isn’t because she’s likes Sunshine or whatever obviously- it’s not like that.

To add on:

Ignore the crap I wrote, it makes no sense (drawn in 2024). Personally I think evil Emerie is my favorite cause her lore and arc is so good. Also, they‘re purely evil. Evil like Emerie slaughtering children because they‘re children and Gwyn trying to sacrifice Azriel to Koschei after ruining his wings with fire (Don’t worry, he gets his lick back)- Nesta would have her Carmilla moment (Castlevania) before her death. Emerie ends up being the only survivor of the Dusk court.

I thought it‘s a cool angsty horror series. No I don’t want to get into what I had pictured for Evil Elain and Feyre working alongside Amarantha. I‘m quite embarrassed to share this. Originally they were suppose to be sort „girlboss“ dark and have some romance involved, not outright monsters. Nesta is actually the most „decent“ villain here.

ANYWAY

One of the Ship babies from early 2024 (I think?). Yeah don’t think I forgot about them.

I visibly cringe whenever I look at it- it’s so corny 😭 I remember the reference and I had wanted to make my own version of said reference

The Witch in the Mountain

A late submission for Nesta Week 2026 Day 3: Fate/Destiny

“But why can’t I have a berry?”

“Because, silly! It’s for her.”

Nesta raised her eyes from her novel to assess the two children standing in the doorway of the bakery.

Younger than ten, the pair of them, a brother and sister dressed in warm cloaks. Autumn was settling fast in Velaris, bringing with it a cold chill that often had her shivering, despite her best efforts.

Still, it was nice to finally be out of the House.

“Is that even real?”

The boy sounded exasperated, eyeing the basket of fresh berries eagerly. They were fresh – enticing enough that she couldn’t blame him for the desire. It was lunchtime.

“Of course it’s real! We must have the best altar, so that she protects our souls for another year!”

The boy rolled his eyes.

“But why can’t we just get her different berries? Why does it have to be these?”

“Because she has to have the best! Those are the rules.”

Nesta huffed softly at the sight of the two of them bickering. It was something she and Feyre could have fought over, once upon a time, had things been different. 

“Don’t you remember the poem?” The girl asked. “It’s in her honor.”

There was a voice in the distance, likely their mother calling.

“Who is she anyway?” The boy asked as they walked away. “Why do we care about some witch on a mountain?”

“She’s not just any witch,” the girl replied, as if it were obvious. “She’s Lady Death.”

Nesta blinked, straightened, and took a moment to process the words.

Lady Death.

At once, the magic in her chest jolted – as if called.

The witch in the mountain.

The witch in the mountain was… her?

Six times people lusted after Nesta Archeron, and one time someone loved her.

Day 7: Free Day - NESSIAN

Driven from bed by ghosts, Nesta seeks Cassian out.

The candle illuminates her face from below when Nesta slips through his door just after midnight.

Cassian goes from half-asleep to awake in an instant. Years of barracks and battlefield tents have hammered the instinct into him—but even without them, he'd still feel the erratic thumping of her heart, the shudder of fear down their unspoken bond.

Nesta tucks a lock of loose hair behind her ear, and says nothing. She looks sheepish, like she's just realized what a bad choice this is, and is now seconds from bolting.

"Door's unlocked for a reason," Cassian offers to the question she doesn't ask. He's pleased to see her shoulders relax a fraction from where they're crowding her ears, and he rolls onto his back, hands propped behind his head.

Nesta huffs, making the candle flicker.

“I can’t sleep,” she says cryptically. The candle flickers again, this time from the tremor traveling up her arm.

"Sorry to hear it.”

He tries to keep his tone light, casual. Like it's normal for the most gorgeous female he's ever seen to come sneaking into his bedroom in the middle of the night. Which it is, in his fantasies, and her hair is down like this, though she's usually wearing fewer clothes.

In reality, Nesta's white cotton night dress covers her from neck to ankle.

Cassian isn't sure he minds as he sits up, trying to look more awake. Thank the Mother he wore his underclothes to sleep, though his bare chest still feels too exposed as Nesta surveys him, too, grey blue trailing down the long span of his wings.

She sits on the edge of the bed without invitation, which pleases him for some reason. She's just out of reach, large as the damned bed thing is, but she's close enough that he can see the fluttering hairs around her face in the dim light.

"I just need—" Nesta cuts off, worrying at her lip. "This was foolish. Pretend I wasn't here."

Cassian leans over on an elbow, fingers snagging the back off her night dress as she turns to rise.

"Stay."

It's funny, isn't it, how impossible it can be to stand up for ones self, and how easy, how natural, it is to stand up for someone else. Nesta Archeron never expected motherhood to suit her so well, but now that she had her children she would be damned if anyone thought to put them in danger. Even their family. Even their father.

you’ve given a good idea on what your version of Feysand, Gwynriel, and Elucien’s romance will look like, but what about Nessian’s?

given that your Cassian has a more clear reason to be hesitant of Nesta (and Nesta in return will probably be wary of him in response), how do you picture that going?

side note: your Cassian reminds me of a cuddly bear, while Nesta reminds me of a caracal cat

I’ll never get cuddly bear Cassian and caracal cat Nesta out of my head now. You‘ve nailed them perfectly.

I would like to note that I‘ll change the concept of Mating bonds and remove it’s animalistic traits that I hate. I prefer to go with Soulmates than mates. And *maybe* I‘ll remove Nessian‘s mating bond entirely cause I think they‘d be better off without it.

First of, what I have in mind for Nessian is a much more emotional journey. Cassian is a sweetheart who will lose a LOT, while Nesta clings to her strong walls. Unlike their hypersexual portrayal in Acosf, my Nessian are the least sexual couple (actually there won’t be any smut, just fade to black or intimate moments). That’s because Nesta can’t stand skin to skin contact; she always wears gloves, as the Cauldron cursed her after she stole from it (Not telling what the curse is yet and what she stole, but it’s very dangerous).

They don’t get along at first, Cassian sees her as a bitter, snobbish hag while Nesta thinks he’s a loud, oversized clown. They hate being around each other, yet whenever they are, Cassian seizes every chance to rile her up. He finds everything about her irritating: her perfect posture, slicked-back hair, ridiculous gloves, and nasty attitude (cause it kinda hits close to home). Although Feyre tells him to leave it, he can’t stand how Nesta speaks to her little sister. On the other hand, Nesta can’t stand this rugged brute who won’t mind his own business. Her mother has warned her to stay away from bastards for a reason. Though in time they grow to secretly enjoy each other‘s company. Cassian comes to like her angry& annoyed expressions, but more importantly, he likes to bring out a side of her that doesn’t seem so bleak. Sharp and snarky Nesta feels more real than the bitter hag he thought she was, or the traumatized girl scarred by the cauldron. In return, while Cassian is certainly brash, Nesta appreciates his presence as he brings some ease into her life, especially when she sets aside her own trauma to care for a depressed Elain— She would NEVER admit that.

They’re like a comedic, married old couple and it’s fun and emotional at the same time.

But after the war they drift away, broken by what they’ve lost (the one thing that Cassian had revolved his entire worth around and Nesta losing her father in the most traumatizing way). It takes Cassian nearly two years to stand on his own again instead of isolating himself and chopping woods, all the while Nesta is still wasting away in the slums of the city. Ultimately, it’s Cassian’s gentle push that brings her to the house of wind on her own terms.

Then their journey together finally starts and we‘ll see them slowly rebuild each other. It takes some time til they have their fun dynamic again, and when they do, romantic feelings come into play. What I want to explore most is the emotional weight of the ‘no touching’ part and Nesta‘s fear of closeness. Cassian patiently guides her through it. In turn, Nesta helps him rediscover his own self worth. I want to bring the „keep reaching out your hand“ line into good use.

Overall, I love the image of the perfect, bitter lady paired with the giant, loud but kindhearted warrior (He‘s suppose to be much bigger than her like in the first artwork though)

I wish I could tell you more or explain it better, but this is the fundamental of their relationship, at least.

This was actually done between 2022 and 2023. I‘m surprised that I like it. Back then I had this Concept of them becoming evil, leaving the Night Court and ruling Dusk instead (Nesta as High lady, Emerie the court‘s General and Gwyn some kind of Diplomat who worships koschei). Emerie is still my favourite, Gwyn and Nesta don’t look evil ughhh.

Then I tried something with the sisters. Failed that one too.

It was done on new years last year. Looks crap to me now.

I had so much fun, i love theeeem. I couldn't decide wich version of Nesta's eyes to post, so they're different in the clothes and the naked version.

Please don't pay attention to the blurried tatoos, i'm not good with that xD I draw muscles, i fall in love with them, and don't want to cover it afterward, so it's a weird in between. (On day i'll make a correct design and stick with it i guess, but it is not this day )
