Well, this fic was supposed to be posted in January, but it took quite a bit of work to sort out some loose ends, and I’m sure that as I keep writing, I’ll find even more things to fix 😅
Buuut, it’s finally published, and I hope you enjoy it. Chapter 1 is HERE!
Imagine a world in which Ned Stark never discovered the truth about Robert Baratheon’s children. A world in which Bran never saw Cersei and Jaime together, was never pushed from a tower, and the Starks were able to live for years in something close to a fairy tale in King’s Landing.
Meanwhile, in the North, Jon Snow’s story followed the same path it always had.
While his family flourished in the South, Jon died at the Wall — and came back. Resurrected, he finally learns the truth about his parentage and decides to claim everything that was denied to him, everything that is his by right.
Now, Ned Stark may choose honesty and offer his support to the son he kept at a distance for so long. But Jon is not willing to trust those he once called family so easily. To believe in them again, he will demand a high price.
And Sansa Stark will stand at the center of it.
After the death of her father Rickon in the Conquest of Dorne, Sansa was set to inherit Winterfell after her grandfather, Lord Cregan. However, the lordship of Winterfell instead passed to Cregan's second son, Jonnel Stark, Sansa's father's half-brother. Jonnel also married Sansa.
She wasn't a beggar, no matter what her aunt said. She was thirteen, a woman flowered and wed, the heir to Winterfell. — ASOS, SANSA VII Jon stabbed and slashed and cut. He hacked down Donal Noye and gutted Deaf Dick Follard. Qhorin Halfhand stumbled to his knees, trying in vain to staunch the flow of blood from his neck. "I am the Lord of Winterfell," Jon screamed. — ADWD, JON XII

Where have I seen you before? In a dream, a thousand years ago.
I just remembered that part in ACOK where Jeor Mormont is talking to Jon about Aerys I and he mistakenly believes Aelinor was Aerys' sister-wife but is in fact, as we know it, his cousin. I truly believe George put that there for a specific reason and I think we all know why, lol..
"Finally, one day, he followed her. And he sang a song to her as she walked. And then he was never seen again."
i heard of a man... who saw a beautiful women walking to church every day. nobody knew where she was from... but, the man fell in love with her. matha e. chawalla was his name, and he loved to sing. finally, one day, he followed her. and he sang a song to her, as she walked. and he was never seen again. ... what happened to him? well, i think he followed her into the sea. ... so, she was a mermaid? maybe i'll drag you down into the water!
