I guess I should make some sort of crude intro!

First and foremost I’d like to keep interactions here 18+, and I am against JKR’s views and actions.

Hi! I made this blog because for the first time in many years, I was struck with some real actual inspiration for a fic! I have written a few before but never for Harry Potter. I also kind of just want a little corner of the internet where my IRLs can’t find me.

I’ll post some writing soon, or you can dm me for my old ao3. Once I prove myself I hope you guys will send some asks! I’ll also be hopefully be posting art.

I’m gonna keep this blog mostly focused on Harry Potter/Marauders/Snape because people not in this fandom reeeally don’t get it, which is fine! I see where their concerns are! And like I said, I don’t want to get into it here but I have no sympathy for JKR or anything she says or does. But yeah this is just…MY corner of the internet. I’m not even telling my best friend about this O.O

Sirius definitely had a radio and would blast Muggle music obnoxiously all the time, as part of his anti-Black-family-values rebelliousness

Severus was a music nerd who had records, maybe even read Lord of the Rings one summer, knows the lore behind the album 2112, suspects many of these musicians are wizards, but he and a few friends give up this hobby in 6th or 7th year when they start taking Death Eater politics more seriously…But he misses it

Headmaster-era Snape is sooo good...Wallowing in his office while knowing everyone in the castle hates him... Specifically Minerva, who must have been so openly disgusted and angry and disappointed (in HBP when he walks in to assess the cursed necklace and she says "oh, Severus" with pure relief—and then he kills and usurps Dumbledore's position only months later)...His ability to be a perfect spy and give nothing away and yet, gives Neville, Ginny, and Luna the most lax punishment ever for trying to steal the Sword of Gryffindor...Hagrid got caught throwing a "support Harry Potter party" and was definitely gonna get punished as fuck and yet somehow escapes...Headmaster Snape I see you!!!

What if the professors and students have an unspoken rule that if you run into each other in the kitchens at night, it’s a neutral zone. If you get caught out of bed on the way there, or on the way back, you’re in trouble. But if a student and a teacher are both in the kitchens for a midnight snack, you pretend you don’t see each other and you never talk about it.

Like if you went to the kitchens at midnight and saw Snape housing beans on toast, no you didn’t. Screw it im drawing this

imagine:

5th year. the marauders have just finished creating the map.

before this, severus can at least convince himself that running into james and sirius is bad luck. they’re bullies.

hogwarts is only so big. eventually your paths cross. they know where he is.

he skips dinner to hide in the library. they’re there.

he leaves potions early to take a route no one uses. they’re waiting.

he studies in an abandoned classroom three floors away from where he usually sits. somehow they “happen” to walk in five minutes later.

he starts changing his routines. doubling back. deliberately taking longer routes. hiding in broom cupboards just to see if they’re actually following him.

it doesn’t matter.

they always find him.

and severus’s paranoia is now boundless. because no one believes him? how could they? when he doesn’t even have proof. when they all think he’s just being like this because the marauders are always on his nerves.

so he decides to solve the problem himself.

is someone telling them where he is? is hogwarts enchanted? are they using some obscure tracking spell? he starts testing hypotheses because this is impossible. no fifteen-year-olds should be able to predict another person’s movements with this kind of accuracy.

while trying to figure out how they keep finding him, he starts noticing all the other things that don’t make sense. remus disappears every month. pomfrey escorts him off somewhere. the others get weirdly defensive whenever anyone asks where he’s been. there’s that bloody tree on the grounds no one’s allowed near.

in severus’s head, all of these clues become one giant mystery. he thinks if he figures out what they’re hiding, he’ll finally understand how they always know where he is.

and then sirius realizes exactly what’s happening. instead of just telling him how to get past the whomping willow, he says something like,

“you want to know how we keep finding you? go through the willow tonight.”

and of course severus goes.
