Welcome to the blog guys

Hey, folks! It's been so long since I was active on tumblr (5+ years in fact) that I've practically forgotten how to use it. I've lurked here and there without posting or interacting for some time, but wow it feels strange to be back and making posts.

For years I was really active in the Marvel Loki fandom, then that dissolved into chaos and I fell away. If anyone from my previous incarnations manages to follow me here, hi! I used to be ladyofmidgard and enchantedxrose, and I'm not dead! Life got in the way. Now the world is on fire and I'm throwing myself back into fictional realms as a coping mechanism once again.

Good Omens and our favorite ineffable husbands have taken over my every waking thought since Part 3 was officially given a release date. To the point that it's become my entire personality and I need to give my loved ones a break from my excited ramblings. So! Back to blogging again so I have a better outlet!

I've also been working on an Aziraphale cosplay, so in addition to the usual kind of blogging, I might also post updates on that. Hopefully I can finish it before Good Omens 3 is released! May 13th can't come soon enough.

So, hey guys. If there is still anyone left out there. I know it's been a long time. At least five years since I properly updated, I think! But I'm still alive and I still think about all of you from time to time with fondness.

I'm no longer in the MCU fandom, but if anyone is into Good Omens and interested in following me there, I'm crawling back out of the woodwork and starting a new tumblr to celebrate the upcoming release of the finale. If you want to come cry with me about it, I'd be happy to chat and catch up.

Hope I see one or two of you over there, at least! Lots of love, even if I don't!

The other day one of my coworkers said he thought Thor: Ragnarok was a better film than the first Thor movie, and I was so angry that I challenged him to a fistfight in the parking lot.

I mean, he was trying to get a rise out of me but it absolutely worked.

Joke's on me, he was in love with me the whole time and wanted to hear my argument to the contrary, and now we're dating.

God, I've missed all you guys and the community we used to have. Times may have changed, I may have changed, but I miss this simpler, kinder world we used to share together. Quick shout out to @iamhisgloriouspurpose , @foreverlokid , @pro-antagonist, @theotherodinson ,and all my old pals. I hope you're well, I hope you're thriving, and you helped shape me into the person I am today.

Plot twist: when they travel back in time in Endgame they decide to just all stay in the tower together and they each have their own floor and the movie just becomes a 2012 Avengers fanfiction but on the big screen and we all watch them have movie night together

I have two tabs open. one is tumblr. I am 160 posts back on my dashboard - I have made it back to the place I left off the night before.

satisfied, I open the second tab to pull up a post-avengers fanfic. everyone lives together in stark tower - each of them has their own floor. for no explained reason, loki shares thor’s. no one questions that he has not been arrested. the team has friday evening movie nights. at breakfast, thor eats all of tony’s pop tarts.

I am content.

I remember the spectacle of Loki. I remember how just the mention of his name caused crazy butterflies in my stomach. I remember getting so excited just to see him on Pinterest or Tumblr and even more excited to see him in the movies, til I’d almost lose my breath. And even when he wasn’t in the movies, how my heart did flip flops if another character just mentioned his name. I watched the Thor movies just for Loki. I watched Avengers just for Loki. I still feel it, it hasn’t changed. Ragnarok didn’t change how I feel or my perspective of him. Loki is still my favorite character. Infinity War didn’t change it. I still see him the way I did before all this mess. Loki is not a “greasy piece of garbage that deserves whatever he gets”. He is not a “slutty, stabby daydrinking twink” and he’s not a “whiny space orphan trying to be a tortured emo goth”. These are not terms of endearment. These are words of ridicule and humiliation and ignorance. These words don’t describe Loki, and certainly don’t do him any justice. Not my Loki. Not our Loki. The Loki I love and adore and believe in and defend. He is worth defending, and yes, protecting. That’s what you do when you love someone. You build them up, not tear them down.
