I am new at writing fan fic and it is, like 10xing my fun and enjoyment of the experience of releasing this long fic to have someone who feels inspired to draw things by it!! 🥰 @strangelande you are amazing!!!

About the art and the backstory...

1) Chapter 1: Pink Valerian 🌿

A peek into Barnaby's Garden. Hans has no idea how much love is going into his sleepy tonic and all the magic that can be found just north of Trosky Castle...

2) Chapter 2: Spiced Wine and Tonic 🍷

Henry will do anything to help his lord. So when Hans requests company in his chambers, a special nightcap to help him get to sleep, how can Henry refuse? But Hans's dark mood looms over them like a raincloud, even as Henry does his best to figure out those damned buttons on his lord's pourpoint...

3) Chapter 3: Moses In The Desert 🐓

Henry and Bartosch meet for the first time, which leads to a sexually tense sparring match with polearms, as well as a scheme to prank Osina back by planting an 🥚in with his prized rooster, Spurs...

Hint: Spurs in the picture is based on my real-life rooster, who I call Bartosch! (It seems pretty obvious why I call him that, right? 'Cause he's so pretty 💜)

4) Chapter 10: C*cksucker 🍆

Mutt stood in front of the plate, watching his own reflection in it, his tongue happily lolling out from the crack of his maw.

To be a creature like that… to feel no shame…

5) Chapter 20: Epilogue 🍪

Two months after the disastrous battle of Nebakov, an injured Bartosch sets out on a new, self-given mission. First stop: Barnaby's place.

I've been using Google as my main mail service since 2006, and every single account or service I've ever signed up for was made with that address. For a long time I thought it'd be impossible to divorce myself from Google.

It took less than 5 minutes to switch to a ProtonMail account, less than 2 hours to download and/or offload every byte of data from my Google account, and less than 3 days to change every single account or service I've ever signed up for to the new address.

As of today, the only single one I have that's still tied to it is YouTube. It's the only thing I'd lose access to if I deleted my Google acount entirely.

They really, really want you to believe that it's a hassle to switch to a different email system. But it's not. Most websites and/or services allow you to change the email address associated with it.

I've been using Google for almost 2 decades and it only took a few days to move everything. It's not a painful sacrifice; it's an easy change that, frankly, has absolutely been worth it.

Proton Shoutout

You can and should switch to a free, encrypted Proton email account. You also get all of the below perks. For free. There is no trick. It is paid for by the people with paying plans. I am one of them. The (completely functional) free tier is there to entice you into getting a paid account with even more perks. (It worked on me.) But there's no penalty or pressure for staying with the free account.

Also get your stuff off the google drive and put it on Proton's drive. It is encrypted. Only you with your password can access it. Not even Proton can see what you put in there.

Henry’s voice cut through the haze that had settled over Hans’s thoughts.

He blinked.

For a moment, he had completely forgotten where he was.

Or rather, what had stolen his attention.

Henry stood only a few steps away, flushed from training, sweat glistening on his skin. Without a second thought, he lifted the hem of his shirt and wiped his face.

Hans immediately regretted looking.

“Hans?”

Hans stared.

“Is everything alright?”

“What?” He straightened. “Oh. Yes. Yes, of course.”

Henry lowered his shirt and frowned.

“Then why are you looking at me like that?”

Hans’s eyes darted away for all of half a second before finding their way back.

“You sweat.”

Henry raised an eyebrow.

“And you stink.”

That earned him a short laugh. “Well, we have been training.”

“Right.”

A silence settled between them. Hans cleared his throat.

“We should take a bath.”

Henry tilted his head.

“…We?”

Hans froze. A heartbeat passed. Then another.

“You should take a bath.”

The corner of Henry’s mouth twitched.

“I see.”
