dude I can't sleep lemme ramble for a second about talon.
I know I'm a 'talsett' guy (and always will be) but let's put aside the ship for a second like let's ignore the ship just to appreciate how CRAZY it would be from a thematic perspective for talon and sett to meet. not in a shipping way but in a literal character way.
one of the core tenants of Noxus is that Anyone can make it, you just gotta work hard and claw your way up. anyone can earn power they must simply have enough strength. and this tenant means that the unspoken rule is also true: If you don't make it, it's your fault. Or: If you fail then you deserved to.
theres a bunch of reasons (imo) that talon wants to be perfect. a lot of it is centered around the invulnerability that comes with being perfect. (if I'm perfect then I don't have to worry about being hurt.) but I think a big part of it is also the Noxian mindset. because when talon fails suddenly he deserved that, because he wasn't good enough, wasn't strong enough. and suddenly it doesn't matter how much of a 'success story' he is, being taken off the streets--because he's failed and he deserves to fail and he's practically back in the slums.
I've said this before too but because of how Talon's swallowed Noxian rhetoric hook, line, and sinker, his perspective is able to offer a BRUTAL takedown of Noxian rhetoric from the inside, if the writers dared to do it. imo out of all the noxian roster, no one is better suited for it. Not even Katarina, because she was still born into privilege versus talon who was not. like the writing potential there is INSANE for him. a literal gold mine of thematic decay.
and it's even more insane if you include sett, who is Ionian born but definitely comes off as Noxian, and who is the IDEAL NOXIAN. a literal success story, a guy who clawed himself (and his ma) from rags to riches and also HAS NEVER LOST a fight. peak Noxus. throw in the color red and the penchant for violence and ofc the sharp ears. (Noxus canonically worships the wolf) likeeeee.
once again, ignoring the ship entirely, sett and talon are almost like parallel success stories, except where one was rewarded with victory after victory, Talon's 'truly Noxian success story' ends up with him chewed up and used and still losing and he must deserve it because he wasn't good enough.
I just think that them meeting at all could be so thematically interesting, esPECIALLY for breaking Talon's worldview in half because you have the perfect Noxian who wants nothing to do with Noxus and hates it. I think the fact that Noxian ideals kinda want you to ignore is the statement that 'life isn't fair.' Noxus might lean into that but ONLY a lil bit. Like yeah life's not fair but Noxus is, and if you work hard enough then you'll succeed. 😁
Except if you're talon you will get manipulated and used like a pawn and all you got was this stupid scar. life has been very, very unfair to talon. And sett's success further illustrates this. I think talon seeing or meeting sett and taking note of this 'perfect noxian' who hates Noxus could very much affect him the same way a hammer affects an eggshell. like oh there's this other world of thinking that I've been unaware of. This guy is winning and he's not even playing by the rules. He doesn't know a thing about Noxus and he hasn't lived there. Is there something wrong with the game itself?
I dunno I think it would be So thematically interesting. Even if they're enemies or if they only meet briefly or whatever. I sound like a crazy person but the themes would go diabolically hard. Do you see it??? (it's 3 am I'm incoherent)
I like to cope with Shen and Zed (at the time Usan) from their teenage days when it was all good and they could just be happy teenage boys! Also Yevnai from the comic, who was their friend and they both had a crush on her - which is why Shen here is embarrassed by something stupid he said when she walked by and both she and Zed find it endearing 😭
After a talk with my bestie from Twitter, I concluded that these were the canonical interactions between Kusho, The Maker and The Witness from LoR - since they did work together in canon or at least Kusho bought her weapons and borrowed her evil serial killer. Inspired by this post
Baby Akali and young Shen because ever since reading "The Bow, and the Kunai." I love these two so much and I cry for how things ended up for them. He used to read stories to her when she was a baby!!!!

LEAVING EASTER EGGS HAS BECOME A pop-culture tradition, and Arcane does not ever forget that the original impetus behind the series' creation was giving back to gamers. The Easter eggs that are included provide fan service without being distracting to newcomers, and they can also allow for quick nods to the creatives. "We definitely had a rule going in that the Easter egg can't be the point of the scene: It can only be support material. And it has to not be something that's going to create that question-mark moment for someone who's not going to get it," Alex Yee said. "I feel we were rea-sonably strict on that point because that kind of head-scratching moment is not worth it." But of course, those who know, know. "If you read the comic that went out when Ekko the champion was released, there's another character that was in there that was in the cinematic that you recognize," Linke said. "Benzo was holding something when Ekko comes in, and he is holding an item that only real nerds would know: the Heart of Gold. It hasn't been in the game for ten years or so. Those who recognize that one will be very giddy because obviously it's something that very few people still know." Easter eggs can also be partly used to ground a scene within the League of Legends lore, as in the scene where Mel is painting on her balcony in Episode 106. "The graphic style of her work and what she's painting, for those in the know, refer to visuals of Noxus that exist," said Hervé Dupont, managing director at Fortiche.
Of course, nothing gets past fans. "In Season 1 we wanted to tease that Singed had a daughter so he's opening a little clock and there's a picture of a girl," Baudry said. In the game there is a character called Orianna, who is supposed to be a little girl from Piltover who had a disease and whose limbs were replaced bit by bit until she became a robot. I havent even read it yet, I'm just surprised since Naafiri and Briar never got one, hope this means champion releases in the future will feature more than just a cinematic that shows the exact same info as their bio (Naafiri and Briar's trailers were still great otherwise, just no story that we couldn't find elsewhere)
