It's been quite an adventure the last few weeks of school. Between seminar papers, luncheons, and field trips I managed to keep my sanity. These kind words from my students reminded me why loosing my sanity is ok. If they are learning , if they are nurtured, if they feel loved, if they grow: then It's all worth it. Teaching wasn't my original plan. It wasn't my first, second, or even my third, but somehow I got lucky enough to be here. My first set of 8th graders are off to move mountains, and I can't express how proud I am of each of them. Not a bad way to end my (almost) first year of teaching. I can't wait for the next adventure. Also, special thanks Eli, Arnulfo, Maria, Carolyn, Crys, Nads, Adds, Linds and Momma Jim. They helped me put together and take down my classroom, proof read papers, drive me all over town, volunteered at the school, and were the people I vented to when life seemed overwhelming. They've helped in so many ways over the last 7 months. They remind me that I still have mountains to move. ✌🏽♥️🏔 (at Highland Park Gifted & Talented Academy)
