Спускайтесь по ней, там много всего интересного. Перед вами предстанет жилье хоббитов, бассейн и очень старое дерево с огромными красивейшими корнями. Тут же – огромные валуны с остатками барельефа статуй Будды, они уже давно покрыты мхом, а историю с них смывает вода из священного родника. Переходите мостик и поднимаетесь наверх, к небольшому храму, где можно принести подношение Будде. А милейшая пожилая женщина сделает для вас небольшую церемонию. Кроме туристов, эту реликвию посещают и местные жители, совершая здесь традиционные балийские ритуалы и праздничные церемонии. Ну и мы также сюда, периодически, приезжаем. Здесь приятно просто прогуляться по тропическим влажным джунглям вдоль оврага с шумящей горной речной, разглядывая многовековые наскальные барельефы, поросшие мхом. Ну, и конечно же, мы каждый раз не упускаем возможности заглянуть в буквальном смысле в пасть демона – необычную пещеру, магическую слоновью пещеру Goa Gajah. В переводе с индонезийского языка Гоа Гаджа означает «пещера слона» (Elephant Cave), также есть версия, которую чаще всего и высказывают гиды, что демонический образ головы на входе чем-то напомнил местным жителям морду слона, поэтому ее прозвали «слоновой», название быстро прижилось. На Бали, как и в Индии и Непале осуществляют не захоронение, а кремацию, причём здесь – это очень яркое, праздничное и весёлое мероприятие. Но вместе с тем, можно на острове встретить и небольшие кладбища, где хоронят немногочисленных католиков, мусульман и прочих балийских иноверцев, а также временно тех, кто дожидается своей очереди быть кремированным. Поэтому, были ли и вправду в гробницах Гунунг Кави захоронены король Анак Вунгс и его многочисленные жёны, мне неизвестно. Да, и честно говоря, я не очень люблю всякие древние легенды, к тому же они не настолько интересные, чтобы их пересказывать здесь. Лучше покажу, что осталось от великих пещер-гробниц, расположенных на берегах реки Пакерисан. Сам храмовый комплекс находится в деревне Tempaksiring, это в 16 км от Убуда.
