something I noticed most fans fail to realize and portray in fics is a realistic inner experience of how Will sees Hannibal in season one. like. imagine your therapist imposing in your life. that's weird asf because of the insane unbalance. you cannot have actually vulnerable conversations because this is someone you feel is constantly trying to analyze you. that's why Will is so put off by Hannibal in the first season and keeps going from honest confession to wall building. and that's hardly addressed in fics. but it is weird asf and lowkey annoying. hence Will being kind of skittish about Hannibal. it's why it's such a complex dynamic and sometimes it feels shallow when we completely look past this. but it's also super interesting to explore.
