Playing Among Us with your friends. Learning to bake bread and laughing off the abysmal failures of those first few tries. Jokingly leaving zoom calls after a friend makes a terrible joke, only to jump back in laughing a moment later. The bike rides and walks and trying new recipes just to mix it up. Recording TikToks and writing fanfiction and making art. Whatever you’ve been able to do to carve out a little bit of joy this year, know and trust that more will come.

The world may be on fire, but you cannot help put it out if you don’t stop to drink some water from time to time.

Things will be good again. There are good people trying to do good things. That is true now. That will be true after Tuesday. Keep carving out little bits of joy where you can. Sometimes that’s all you can do, and that’s not for nothing.

Ha, what’s that supposed to mean? What’s funny is that Katara said herself she will never forgive him and that’s okay. Aang was fine with that and he accepted that. The whole thing was that Katara was not gonna let anger get the best of her. She didn’t need someones life on her conscience at such a young age too. Bryke pretty much explains this but fandom likes to be that dramatic.

I would argue that Aang did get it. He found out his entire culture and everyone he knew and loved - except Appa - had been murdered by the Fire Nation. Including Monk Gyatso - the closest thing to a father he would ever have. Aang understood.
