UPDATE—Donations Have Been Made!

Hello Everyone!

This is Mod Jessie with a very important (and exciting!) announcement! We’ve made our final donations to Direct Relief! 

Thanks to all of your generous donations and support we raised a total of $9,477.24 USD to hurricane relief efforts!

As you know, we had plans to split the funds between Direct Relief’s Puerto Rico Recovery campaign and Global Links’ Hurricane Irma Relief in Cuba, but great news! Global Links’ campaign was fully funded and is no longer accepting donations. While we’re sad we weren’t able to contribute to this wonderful project, we are happy to see that they’ve reached their goal and that means we get to support another cause that really needs it! 

For our second donation, we decided to stick with Direct Relief (since they’re such an amazing, trusted charity), but in a separate fund. We chose to donate to their Hurricane Michael relief efforts because 1. it was still hurricane relief and 2. there are large Cuban communities in the affected areas. In general, we felt that this philanthropic effort was in line with our own mission and kept with the spirit of the zine.  Below is proof of our donations, which split between the $9,477.24 came out to $4,738.62 for each cause! (We received two emails, one for each donation, but I’ve only included one of the thank you messages since they were the same.)

Again, I have to really thank all the contributors, mods, and of course every single person who was kind enough to purchase a zine. It’s been a very long journey but my heart is filled with glee that this little project was able to make such large donations to such incredible causes. I am truly humbled. Thank you all so much. Lance would be proud.

Unfortunately, all of our stock is out, so we won’t be selling the physical version again. The project is essentially over except for the actual donating part which will be happening this week and once that’s done, it’ll be a wrap! We very much appreciate the interest though!

The reason they ask for your address is for billing purposes I believe! But yeah, there’s no way for us to tell Bigcartel “this order won’t be shipped” so it asks everyone. So, no, nothing will be shipped to you!

Oh, no. I’m sorry we opened orders at an inconvenient time for you! Because of time zones, it’s hard to make a good time that will work for everyone, unfortunately. 

We won’t be making any more physical copies because, essentially, the project is done and the process of ordering more is both expensive and long. What this sale was for was just to sell our extra stock from pre-orders. Ordering more would tack on at least another two months of production time and the mods agree that it is time to wrap up the project.
