Anyone noticed they stopped putting the special gatcha currency in the monster hunter thing? Kinda makes me less likely to even bother with that everyday cause of it ngl
Bare with me cause this is gonna be a long one. I'm sure there's some who's already noticed the connection between this (Shown in trailer & also half seen before by DE) and the Tree of Life (Kabbalah), though it doesn't quite match up exactly, so i'm kinda putting things together.
Also a little warning for new story spoilers as well.
OKAY SO. Incase you don't know this is the Tree of Life. It is is a symbolic diagram used in Jewish mystical traditions, especially in Kabbalah, to describe divine structure, creation, and the spiritual path of ascent. Though there is other interpretations of it. I've looked at a few things to try and put the baking magic one together. I will be copying some things from Wikipedia
So at this Very Top we have this eye looking Symbol. Which could correspond to Keter on the Tree of Life, meaning Crown.
It represents pure consciousness and transcends human (or Cookie) understanding, often referred to as "Nothing" or the "Hidden Light". You could say it is the beginning. Which in this case, would be the Witches themselves.
On the Left we have what seems like a paper and quill. We can assume this to be a Cookie Recipe. Which corresponds with Binah, meaning Understanding in Hebrew.
It comes from a Hebrew root about separating and making sense of things—turning a raw idea into something you can actually understand. It points to the process of taking a vague idea and working it through until it becomes clear.
Which one tends to do when they make a recipe. Kind of like an outline.
On the Right we have a Scale, which would be used to measure out ingredients. Which corresponds with Chokmah, meaning Wisdom. Chokmah is the primordial point of divine wisdom that becomes comprehensible through Binah. Which means they'd know how much of each ingredient to use through the use of a Recipe.
Below the Recipe, we have a whisk and a bowl. Which is obviously when you mix together the ingredients to form your dough. This corresponds to Gevurah, meaning Strength.
The wiki didn't have much to say about this one other than it is the essence of judgment and limitation, and corresponds to awe and the element of fire. I also saw from another source it is "The forces giving shape and form." Which I think works well with the dough actually coming together.
Next we have a Rolling Pin. Which is like we can see in the gatcha animation, it is getting the dough ready to give it it's cookie shape. This corresponds with Chesed, meaning Kindness.
The term Chesed is derived from the Hebrew root ח-ס-ד, which conveys the idea of loyal love or steadfast kindness. This root is used in various forms in the Hebrew Bible to describe the relationship between God and humanity, as well as the relationships among individuals.
Which I take this as the relationship between the Cookies and the Witches and I do think the First Witches did love the Cookies they made from what little I know about them & I do think they were made with love.
After that comes the Oven. As the Light of Solidarity told Gingerbrave, it is a place where all Cookiekind began and even the Souljam. I believe this would go with Tiferet, meaning Beauty.
Tiferet integrates Chesed and Gevurah (Mixing & Rolling in this case)The balance between these two can be seen in the role of Tiferet, wherein the conflicting forces are harmonized, and creation flowers forth. Being a baked Cookie.
Then we go to the left, which is a Piping Bag or decorating bag. Which would be used to put frosting on the cookie. Which would go with Hod, which means majesty, splendor, glory.
Hod is where form is given by language in its widest sense, being the key to the mystery of form. Which to me this is where a Cookie's true personality or self comes together. Their icing gives them a form and appearance that's unique to them.
These next two i'm just giving my opinion on since i'm not sure what they could mean exactly, but i'll do my best anyway. This one seems to be a Cookie in a Jar, with sparkles around it. Which to me, means the Cookie is complete. And I believe it would go best with Netzach. Which means victory.
Another one I got from another source, but it would be described as "Creation has given birth to the fundamental forces of attraction and rejection which can now unfold harmonically in all principles of physical and biological life."
I take this as, the Cookie is finished and is ready to be let out into the world and let them live their life or do their duty (in the case of the virtues)
I'm not too sure what this one is, it looks like Cookies going into a bag? I believe this one would go with Da'at, meaning knowledge.
Daʻat is not always depicted in representations of the sefirot; and could be abstractly considered an "empty slot" into which the germ of any other sefirot can be placed. it is the location (the mystical state) where all ten sefirot in the Tree of Life are united as one.
Since this Cookie baking chart isn't exactly the same shape as the Tree of Life and thus a few things are not in the same place, i'm just taking some guesses with some of these. This one seems right for me since I take it as all Cookiekind coming together as one.
Now we have one we know the best so far, we know it as the Ritual to Bind Fallen Desserts, which Silent Salt used to bind himself and the Beasts. I believe this one would go with Malkuth meaning Kingdom.
"Malkuth is the concentration and materialization of all preceding emanations of the divine in a single point. Thus the forces of divine creation take shape in Malkuth just like a king in his kingdom."
I believe this was made as a last resort type of magic if something went horribly wrong with a creation. Since we don't know much about this spell outside of it's uses by a Cookie (Silent Salt) I can't really add anymore to this currently other than speculation.
Finally we have a Broken Cookie, which would go with Yesod, meaning Foundation. "Everything returns to the base it originated from." is one description I found. Which I see as when a Cookie Crumbles, it basically returns to it's ingredients, in a way of speaking.
The witches we've seen in CRK have used broken cookies to make amalgamations of cookies before (ex: what they did to White Lily/DE) But I see this as more of a returning to the earth type thing or the Circle of Life.
There is one more slot at the bottom of the tree, but since there isn't really anything in it I left it out. I hope you enjoyed my long ramble, cause I felt like this meme putting everything together.
I still only managed to get 2 Saja Boys this whole event. I’m still peeved at how bad the Saja Boys Gatcha is, but it is what it is. Cause there’s something I actually care about coming soon.
Haven't drawn in a while and I wanted to experiment with drawing Cookies, since i'm not good at it for some reason. I like Raspberry Cookie, so I picked her and designed a Valentine's Costume for her.
