literally used to get so upset that i would not be a “woman in STEM” and would be taking spots away from women who could be in STEM instead of a man like me. that once my gender changed i was the statistic we were trying to push against. who needs more men like me in STEM?

Felt exactly that when I got into a game dev school / course and I realized... There was only one woman in the class. I thought "there would have been two if I hadn't transitioned" and I felt so bad, especially since I was using this as a fresh start to actually be who I am.

You know what happened?

Half a year later another classmate started asking me questions about what it's like being trans.

Turns out we did have two women in that class anyway. But me being out and proud and talking about transgender issue helped one of them realize it was an option.

The world is better when you are you. You're not "just another man taking away spots" you're a trans man whose joy and life are revolutionary. I love you. There are too many of us who died quietly, erased.

having free control over our endrocrine systems and the ability to change our genitals is currently inextricably tied to trans rights, and for good reason, but frankly i don't think it even needs to be. it should just be a matter of bodily autonomy, and that should be universal. if a cis dude wants tits and a pussy i think that would be fine. if cis women want a dick or nothing at all that should be allowed i think. people shouldn't need to be transgender to be allowed to change their bodies. free the nipple, enlarge the nipple, remove the nipple. whatever the fuck you want. i dont know if there's a term for this belief but i hold it very strongly. everybody biohack yourselves NOW

Here's a thing about how Tumblr works:

When an account is deactivated, it normally does not affect images in their posts, in reblogs and such. So ancient posts can live on, with images intact.

However if the user is terminated with prejudice (aka "nuked"), ALL their uploaded images are removed. (This was presumably designed for spammers and such)

So if you see a post like this:

This doesn't mean the image itself violated any rule! Yes, this is a misleading error message.

Tumblr has terminated-with-prejudice many transfems, and every time I see people reblogging their their posts going "what's wrong with this post, Tumblr? It was just a INNOCUOUS THING!"

The tl;dr is that if the user is deactivated, the "this image was removed..." error is misleading. Everything they uploaded was removed, regardless of content.

(and yes Tumblr should stop banning transfems. They have already been sued about this, and lost)

I’m in so much pain it’s making me shake and struggle to breathe.

My broken tooth is infected and it’s radiating from the broken tooth across my mouth, into my jaw and down my neck, into my ear and into my head, causing a migraine.

I have an official appointment set up, and I managed to get help to cover the basic cleaning but they called me today to let me know they’re out of network for my insurance and while we’ve managed to cover some more of the full exam and X-rays and stuff, I still owe $70.

If anyone can help so I can get this tooth taken care asap, please, gods, please, any help would be phenomenal. I’m genuinely in so much pain, I can’t stand it and it’s all while we’re trying to pack and move out.
