So I had this theory for a while that Amethyst was hiding one of her eyes behind her bangs because it was just an Amethyst geode or a black hole or something.

This isn’t the case though. But, naturally I decided to make an AU out of it. And considering the idea has been bouncing around the walls of my head for the past 8 hours, it’s pretty dark:

So, during the war, Rose was injured somehow. The Diamonds all huddled together and started singing their corruption song.

As the wave of light came nearer, Rose tried to summon her shield, but she was so tired that it only formed halfway. She tried to run in front of the gems to protect them, but it was too late.

The crystal gems, the ones we all know and love today, became corrupted and turned into unrecognisable beasts.

Unfortunately for Rose, the shield had covered the lower half of herself, that was her gem included.

The beasts turned on her and basically shattered her, losing any hope that she could uncorrupt them with her tears. It didn’t matter anyway, because before the diamonds left, they sent out another beam that shattered all the gems. These gems would be used for the cluster, but it turns out….for some crazy reason….. the cluster was never formed

So they all died. Apart from Amethyst. Oh, and Lapis (look at my url, what did you expect from me?). Lapis’ gem was being held together by the mirror she was trapped in and Amethyst…. I don’t know, something to do with her being overbaked (In my AU, Amethyst is still overcooked in the kindergarden, but was alive for the war/long enough to love the main gems). I guess it doesn’t affect her? Or maybe she was being bullied (my poor baby) and thrown back into her hole and the rock basically had the same immunity to corruption as Rose’s shield. Amethyst’s goal is to take over Homeworld because she believes that there’s a potion to reform shattered gems. That’s when she meets Lapis. And it all goes from there! Everything that happens to Amethyst and Lapis canonically happens to them in this AU too; e.g. Lapis being forced to fuse with Jasper, and since Amethyst has a mega crush on Lapis, shink goes down! Amethyst fights Jasper, which leads to the whole “Crack The Whip” “Earthlings” arc. If this gets more than 2 likes (as you can see, I REALLY don’t want to write this ;))) ) then I’ll start making some comics and EVEN an episode list. Boi, I’m over anticipating this too much.

"Are you okay? What's wrong?" HNNNNG this is hecking depressing WHY DID I MAKE THIS THIS IS ALL ILL BE THINKING ABOUT TONIGHT. I really love Lapis in this. It looks rough and sketchy for -ppffft- y'know, dramatic purposes.
