Does Artemis hide his Irish accent? Does Orion? I doubt Orion would.

Artemis: As aristocrats, my family’s accent has always been a bit more proper and subdued, a trait I’ve found beneficial when having to feign a foreign accent. For example, at the moment I’m mimicking Thor’s accent, as I assume it’s how Loki would have talked. Orion’s accent is more pronounced, and I suspect he does so by choice.

Artemis: Thank you, @contact-metamorphism. I will keep this in mind. Thor’s solution, it seems, is to tangle my hair more.

Artemis: Stealing from Stark isn’t part of the plan... yet. But if I do pilfer the Stark Industry archives, I can guarantee no homicidal robots.

Artemis: How do you feel about losing your hazel eye? Do you ever miss it?

Artemis: I won’t bog this down with purple prose, I do miss it. Sometimes I don’t feel like myself without it, so I keep color contact lenses on hand just in case. The only reason I haven’t had surgery to change its hue permanently is because I understand the tactical disadvantage of heterochromia.

Minerva: That is a cute one, @luciferswife16 . Odd, though. I’m so used to people trying to be accurate about time periods, but the author has managed to create a kind of fantasy-without-the-fantasy Victorian era. On the plus side, it does allow her to be more progressive.

Mod: I have read it-- a lot of it, actually, because I love the art. And I can definitely see a lot of resemblances, but I don’t think Andreas would ever, ever identify himself as a person with bad intentions, let alone Evil. He could pass for a Good Twin, though.

Holly: It’s like an off switch.

Since Angline Fowl died before the story began and Artemis has little agency in the movie (at least that's what I've heard) does that make Artemis a Disney princess?

Artemis: The Disney company has its own definition of “decent,” which I am not. But it has made concealing information about myself infinitely easier.

Finally, more Canon Artemis Fowl as requested by Eoin Colfer. :) This isn’t the first time I’ve drawn Artemis getting punched by Holly- (I drew it in middle school hahaa) -and it probably won’t be the last! Book 3 has a few chapters that are excerpts from his diary, and in book 4 he watches a few of the diary recordings he left with Mulch pre-Mindwipe to regain his memories — tho’, he could have a written one *and* a video one, but this post relies heavily on the Inherent Humor of Artemis participating in anything vlogging-adjacent

ok so we are studying the poem Birches by Robert Frost to day and LAST GUARDIAN FEELS

so the lines that brought me feels are:

Broken across it, and one eye is weeping

I was alarmed by ’broken’ at first, then I saw ‘one eye’ and all I can think of is Artemis lying on the ground with his fairy eye smoking as his body glows. I have this image in head.

I’d like to get away from earth awhile

And them come back to it and begin over.

This section is like Artemis’s realization - the I can think with my heart line - and how he decides to give up himself for others.

But that wasn’t the hardest blow

May not fate willfully misunderstand me

And half grant what I wish and snatch me away

Not to return. Earth’s the right place for love:

And, you know, he did died for six months. These few lines talk about wishes half-granted and half-denied. Artemis walks into his death hoping he might survive but he was snatched away from Butler and Holly anyway. Fate only granted Artemis’s wish to save his friends but does not allow him to live. But despite all odds Artemis came back to Earth, his right place for love. and knowing he’s gonna get well with a loving family is enough feels for me in one lesson.
