-back in his youth, he was known as King Asgore’s royal court jester. In fact, he was one of the king’s closest companions.
-though he was a jester, Archie didn’t wear the usual jester’s outfit. Asgore said he’d be able to wear whatever he’d like. So... that’s just what Archie did. He wore shirts with funny sayings or logos across the front, sometimes wearing a silly hat, but-- he never wore the traditional jester attire.
-his parents were killed when he was a teenager. His sister, Maeve, was just two years old. From then on, he raised her as best he could. Nowadays, Maeve lives in Waterfall and works as a history tutor.
-when Asgore collected the fallen kids’ souls, Archie couldn’t handle it. He ended up quitting his job as Asgore’s royal jester and moved out to Snowdin. Later on, he became a librarian.
-Archie became depressed not long after he quit. He felt like he didn’t know Asgore anymore, and he wasn’t sure what was becoming of the Underground. Killing human children to escape just didn’t seen right...
