Happy Birthday to the one and only Captain America that owns my heart and soul 💖💖🎂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈
I finally watched Captain America: A Brave New World on Disney+ recently. And to say that the movie was underwhelming is an understatement, lol.
The plot is okayish. It doesn't connect with any of the wider MCU storylines (except for the big celestial island thingy and Ross asking Sam to restart the Avengers, but these are just bread crumbs tbh). The villain wasn't that interesting. Felt like his character was put together last minute. The conflicts in the movie (the Adamantium treaty thingy) was kinda intriguing, but they don't fully develop it. The pacing was also okayish.
The characters also aren't that interesting at all. Sam Wilson as the main lead of the movie is a good look on him. I didn't particularly like him as a side kick who just follows Steve Rogers around like an overly loyal puppy. But in this movie, he's grown into the role of Captain America (though, they tried to rehash the 'Steve was wrong about choosing me as Cap' story again, which had me rolling my eyes. But it was a short and kinda awkward scene with Bucky, so I'll forgive the movie this one time). Other than this, I don't think his character went through any journey or developmemt at all and that's dissapointing. Though, Anthony Mackie fits the main lead role like a well fitted glove and I hope MCU puts him front and center of the upcoming Avengers movies.
The Israeli lady just pissed me off.
Joaquin was a really annoying character. He was more like a caricature rather than a person. Most of his dialogues made me cringe. Especially when he says he wants to be like Sam (flashback to Peter telling Tony the same thing in Spider-Man: Homecoming) and to me it just felt like a forced dialogue exchange rather than the character's authentic need to be like Sam. But good for Danny Ramirez for getting that bag, I guess.
Harrison Ford as Ross was good but his acting also felt stilted in some places. Can't blame him really, that guy is over 80. It's a shame that the original actor of the role, William Hurt, had passed away. May he rest in peace.
As already covered, the dialogues could've used some work. The humor was abysmal. The CGI was..... embarrassing in some places, to say the least. But it has been going downhill since Age Of Ultron, so can't really blame this movie too much. So yeah, overall just a MEH movie.
Rating: 2/10 (Sorry Not Sorry)
I bet you love the Thundershit movie 🙄. Just because YOU didn't like it doesn't make it a bad movie; it's your perception. Why do people assume their opinions are the same as reality? btw, Thundershit was a shitty movie full of disgusting white people. The only positive thing about it is that it portrays what white people are: racist, arrogant, entitled, invaders, and colonizers. btw, you're blocked.
Thundershit -10000/10 sorry, not sorry 😘
Sam’s team in Doomsday is called The Avengers.
They’re not called “Sam’s team”, they’re called The Avengers.
They’re The Avengers. Lead by Sam Wilson’s Captain America, with Joaquín Torres’ Falcon as his right hand.
Hope this helps some horrible articles and graphics I’ve seen calling them “Sam’s team” or “the unnamed team”. They’re the Avengers. No amount of denial is going to change that canon fact.
There's only ONE Avengers team and is lead by Sam Wilson. The others are just government puppets ☺️
when i blacklist something because i don't care about it i never feel compelled to open the posts and they just wash over me like white noise. when i blacklist something because i actively dislike it i end up opening that damn post like 85% of the time just to go yep. hated that.
Me with the Tb* tag. I have blocked that shit but when something related to it shows on my page I open it anyway just to get pissed all over again ☺️🙂
Me, I'm the friend 🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️♥️♥️♥️
Something I find funny is that these type of fans prefer to wait and see the movies on Disney+, so they neither go to the cinema nor pay for the tickets. But at the same time, they're the fans who blaime CABNW for Tb* and F4 flopping in theaters. Make that shit make sense.
At this point, I just want Sam to go home. All he has ever been is kind, generous, compassionate, and helpful and he gets shit for it. He is not given care and consideration by the world he lives in and by those who are around him.
Those of us who know what it feels like to be disenfranchised and to be hurt by the impacts of racial injustice are really feeling for Sam so much right now because we get it. It hurts us because we know what it’s like. And we have come to understand that it’s this particular form of shit that has informed Sam’s choice not to take up the mantle. We are empathetic to Sam; he has empathy for Karli. We know what disenfranchisement feels like.
Anthony Mackie’s acting is so nuanced that we are shown what he is feeling by the subtle changes in Sam’s countenance or posture. Sam doesn’t need to scream. He isn’t afforded the opportunity to scream.
But I fucking want him to.
I want him to let it all out, all of those words that are stuck in his throat. I want him to give voice to his pain and his frustration until it bleeds through the fucking screen. So there is no doubt in the minds of those viewers who can’t and don’t want to get where he is coming from.
I want to hear Sam’s voice.
And then I want him to go home.
Omg I didn't know about this. The tv news in my country never shows anything good of what Petro does or says I wonder why 🙄. So proud of having him in power, so proud I voted for him 👏🏾✊🏾
Twitter is a shithole, Tiktok is a stupidhole and here is a war zone. Is hard to be a Sam fan these days, is annoying to be surrounded by stalkers with no life, whose only hobby is to shit on Sam's Tag for no reason other that been annoying. You're not my siblings in God, you're spawns of Satan; so go away and watch a wall I swear is as white and plain as you 😐
Fantastic Four: family can be stronger than anything
Superman: kindness is the most powerful superpower
Thunderbolts*: you are not alone
Captain America Brave New World: don't you just fucking love the US government!!!! They can be a lil cookoo sometimes (look at this red guy lol) but don't worry, its all gonna work out so long as the US military comes and saves the day!!!! We love incarcerating Black men and supporting Israel!!!!
mind you thunderbolts ends with a CIA controlled “avengers” and brave new world ends with the US president in prison
Sam and Joaquín literally stopped the US military from inciting an international crisis before the US president was arrested, but Sam's film is the one that loves the US government? Where did Sam say he supported Israel? Have people even watched CABNW? Posts like this spreading lies about Sam's movie need to stop. Can't people just post about what they enjoyed without dragging the film with the Black lead through the dirt? And Saying 'Sam Deserves Better' when they literally have not posted anything about Sam before is not genuine at all.
@upset-to-dead Baby jesus what? This is the dumbest fucking shit I read. The absolute reach for the sole purpose of invalidating and smearing Sam Wilson who since the very start of the movie went against the government mission instructions and saved the hostages inside the church instead of going after the package. TB are literally working directly for and under the government.
Bitch @upset-to-dead it’s clear you hate Sam Wilson and your hatred is rooted in racism. Here’s a tip: you don’t have to mention him or talk about him at all. Love your favorites without exposing your racism and hatefulness and utter lack of comprehension. Did you really think your “analysis” was gonna land? Or is this rage bait. Well congrats on being a dumb racist blabbering nonsense. Bye.
Hi @elektraking
This post is actually a criticism of the movie Captain America Brave New World, not a criticism of Sam Wilson the character. I personally love everything about Sam Wilson as a character. I really admire his compassion for others, his level-headedness, and his natural affinity for leadership and justice. He makes a fantastic Captain America.
Anyway this post is criticizing CABNW and the MCU in general (and by proxy Disney) for a number of reasons including but not limited to the portrayal of the US military and government as well as the presence of Israeli "superhero" Sabra in the film.
No. You are a liar. Fact that you know if you follow MCU is that it’s all US military propaganda. Because they, MARVEL, literally work with the US military to make sure they are depicted a certain way. Fact No. 2, none of the MCU movies are perfect. They aren’t supposed to be. They’re drawing from decades of comics trying to find the sweet spot of pleasing comics fans, strictly movie-verse fans and the general public. None of these movies, except Ryan Coogler productions, can compete with regular movies. You specifically singled out BNW and are now staying nice and calm and are the typical hide behind the “oh no, i love sam, i’m just making valid points, look at me i’m not even upset at you lashing out because you misunderstood and i am completely innocent”
You’re not innocent. You’re gaslighting Sam fans. There is a zero percent chance that of the four movies listed ONLY the one with the Black lead deserves criticism. And this is before pointing out how wrong you are in your interpretation. As for Sabra, congrats on hiding behind the zionist to explain your criticism. Face it, you aren’t a Sam fan. You came on here to undercover hate him. And it failed. Bye.
@upset-to-dead so where is your cutesy little takedown of the thunderbolts for ACTUALLY being a movie that depicts its characters as working for the government at the start, middle and even end? where is your post that cites that cap 4's actual core message and crashes out over Tbolts making the government funded black ops strike team into government funded, backed and endorsed avengers that do literal propaganda photo shoots for magazine covers, do brand deals etc, all while working for the US government? Because that's the issue right? or is it okay if they do it 'cause they're white?
@upset-to-dead taking into account that you dislike zionist propaganda so much, let me ask you two questions: first, did you boycotted Daredevil? and second, are you going to boycott Spiderman BND? because in both things were and are going to be zionists actors, and I mean real people like you and me; flesh and blood people not characters from comics, who supported and still support a genocide. So, what you say? or are you only boycotting BNW because the male lead is a black man?. Also why praise Tb* so much? literally the movie made a disgusting and superficial depiction of mental health. Also, if you like Superman why the duck you dislike Sam? they're the same. They fight and solve problems through kindness and dialogue.
Now I'm curious (Poll)
If by some unholy miracle and or delivery of goods fer one deal with Crowley, what flasback of Sam Wilson's life would you most like to see?
What one flashback would you want to see?
Sam in the airforce and during his pjo days with Riley?
How Sam ended up in DC away from his family in Delacroix?
Sam as a kid and when he first fell in love with flying?
Sam's pov chasing Bucky in EU and his frame of mind after all his TWS encounters
Sam with his Titi?
Sam with his parents?
Sam and Nat's friendship, before or during them being on the run?
One is not enough/Different flashback scenario (Put in the tags)

everybody watched bnw with their eyes closed. you guys just refuse to see that sam wilson is genuinely a good person and are wilfully ignorant so you can concentrate on how he apparently ‘forgave ross’ or ‘sided with ross’ or whatever nonsense
he had never EVER fucking endorsed ross in that movie and he DID NOT want anything to do with him. just because he was NICE to that man - the same way he has been with every fucking person doesn’t mean shit other than sam being a good person down to his core
Ah but they conveniently and willingly forget that Thundershit worked, works and will forever work for Valentina a know fascist. I'm pretty sure that the people who dislike Sam for been nice is the same people who dislike the new Superman for been nice as well: they're true diabolic and evil people.
I want a scene in Doomsday where both Avengers teams are trying to work together and the thunderbolts start bullying John relentlessly and someone who is NOT a Thunderbolt tries to join in the fun, maybe unknowingly poking at his deepest insecurity, and they all immediately change course and jump to his defense. He's an asshole, but he's THEIR asshole, now.
And with all their drama and history, I want Sam to see Bucky defend John most of all. Just to rub a little salt into that wound :)
And why? Why the fuck would you want to see them gang up on Sam, who has the most right to talk shit about Walker, but likely wouldn't because he isn't that petty ass man y'all fake ass fans try to paint him as. But why in the absolute fuck would you want Bucky to join in defense of punkass Walker, the man he hated from jump and who he had to stop seconds before killing Sam?
Like, really, what the fuck is wrong with you?
Funny because I wish the exact opposite would happen. I wish Sam wouldn't even pay attention to Bucky, and I wish Bucky would be stuck with that group of assassins all the time so he couldn't bother Sam. I wish from the bottom of my gut that Sam never has to work with the Thunderbolts.
In a perfect world, Marvel would send the Thunderbolts to prison along with Valentina for all the crimes they committed of their own free will, but I know that won't happen. The team is too white to make them pay for their crimes, and I know they'll somehow force Sam to deal with them. But anyway, OP, please leave Sam Wilson out of your nonsense. Post under the Bucky, Walker or Thunderbolts tag.
Note: OP, you're blocked, btw.
"They don't show Sam's trauma in the show or in the movie"???
I really think a lot of people equal trauma to tears so for them anybody who isn't shown crying on screen doesn't have any trauma.
Otherwise why would you even think Sam's trauma isn't show in the show or in the movies???
Does this look like a person who is "fine" to you? Can't you tell that he's going through A LOT ???
He even said it: he's thinking about Isaiah and everything he went through.
Sam's trauma isn't "implicit" it's shown onscreen, I really really don't understand why people insist that we don't see it on screen.
He doesn't confide in Bucky because he says Bucky wouldn't understand.... And you know what Bucky did in episode 5 of TFATWS? He apologized and admitted he, in fact, didn't understand what Sam was going through.
In Captain America: Brave New World, we can clearly see that Sam isn't doing well after Joaquin was hurt. Especially after everything that happened with Isaiah.
Why do you guys always have to see tears in order to sympathize with non-White characters?
We have only one scene of Bucky crying (with tears of joy) and no scene of Steve crying but you can all see their trauma, but somehow "Sam's trauma isn't shown on screen".
Is it not shown or are some people just not looking?
They're so used to how white trauma is portrayed (too many tears, deep meltdowns, emotional breakdowns, etc.) that they don't see Black trauma.
For years, Black people and POC were told that "showing your feelings too much makes you look aggressive" or they dismissed their emotions altogether.
They don't see, or don't want to see, that Black pain is quieter, but no less visible. Look into Sam's eyes and you'll see the emotional turmoil he's going through. But, of course, they'll never see it.
Some tiktok shitty video talking about 2025 superhero movies messages, and they didn't even mention BNW; that's normal I geass the OP was yt so I'm not surprise. What surprise me was the message for Thunderbolts: "you're not alone". Wtf? Really wtf? What kind of shitty message is that? Oh you're a killer who killed by choice but is ok because you're depressed and alone 🙄? I wish I knew this before everytime depression showed its ugly face to me, I wish I would have known I could hurt people just because I was sad. So many opportunities I have lost 🙂. I thought Thunderbolts message was: "is ok to not make amends or feel remorse for your crimes in orden to become a hero, also is ok to be a killing dog of a fascist". But whatever what can I possibly know 🤷🏾♀️?
Im suffering because my daughter hate me for my war crimes is not the compeling sad back story Marvel think it is, like put Ross in jail People, I expect more from you Sam.
One of the ending scenes is literally Ross in an underwater prison, while Sam, who is clearly responsible for him being there, is talking to him. Just because Sam isn’t torturing a prisoner, that doesn’t mean he’s on Ross’ side, or that, you know, the movie doesn’t end with Ross being in prison. Hell, Ross literally says: “Sam, why are you here? We were on different sides of this thing every step of the way.”
So, let’s recap: Sam doesn’t support Ross. Sam is largely the reason Ross is in prison. Ross is in prison.
Look, Sam simply isn’t the type to take somebody out back and shoot them, because he isn’t a nut. He’s the type to be humane & show compassion, even to a prisoner — even to somebody like Ross. And I’d expect anybody with a fully functioning brain to get the end of this movie, yet, here we are…
people watching this movie
Funny tho they are fast to excuse Alexei crimes with the Red Room or Walker killing a man in broad dayligth, they're just a bunch of hypocrite atp
