Here's a little fan art comic about Fiona and Cake. I just finished reading Natasha Allegri's beautiful comic about these two, so I *had* to draw them. It was important.

I wanted to play with the lighting a bit, but I'm not sure how I feel about the color at this point.

I'm a little late to this party, but this was for this past week's Comix Warriors theme (childhood).

When I was about 7 or 8, I got a tape recorder for Christmas and proceeded to record *everything* with it (water, birds, my dad snoring, conversations between my toys, etc, etc, etc). Most memorably, I made radio shows that featured songs and sketches from my favorite tv-shows and movies so that I could listen to them while I rode my bike at my grandparents' house. I probably had every episode of All That and a good chunk of the Lion King.

It's also worth mentioning that I recorded these songs by placing my tape recorder *right* next to the television speakers and then threatening my little brother under pain of noogies not to speak until the song/sketch/whatever was over. Because who knew when they were going to play that episode again!?!

My submission is the two incarnations of Muta, the cat from Whisper of the Heart (right) and The Cat Returns (left).  I love how different Muta is between the two films both in character design and in personality.  So good.
