Timo/xxi got confirmed in the Mad Ellie DLC and the way they did it is one of the most baffling decisions that hinders on BL4 writers once more proving they donât understand their characters

u could argue that Moxxi says it only to mess with Ellie but hey. weâre also here and this is the ONLY confirmation of what went on after the Jackpot DLC. do we srsly deserve to hear just this and be happy? this whole dialogue is a disservice to Moxxi, to Timothy and to us as spectators. and this decisions is another step in blands writers trying to assassinate every character they have
point blank, this is painting a picture of Moxxi being a sex-crazed succubus maneater and Timothy being the helpless âwife guyâ who canât say no. in canon itâs been approx. 6 years since Borderlands 3 and youâre telling me that instead of actually calling their relationship what it is, theyâre gonna tiptoe around it with no specifics? this sort of fuck buddies thing for 6 years is just such an insulting thing as it feels like a waste of time for both Moxxi and Timothy. theyâre not teenagers, theyâre adults who should get clarity in what they have and not pull another âmaybeâ
from Moxxiâs perspective is just having a boy toy to please her whenever she wants. âlow maintenanceâ, as if she canât get involved in a serious relationship and treat her partner like an equal. âopen thingâ, as if all of her other relationships in the series havenât been monogamous and committed. itâs a disservice to treat her like some sort of flaky seductress who just needs a guy from time to time and not state exactly who they are. itâs immature and convoluted for no reason
are you seriously telling me that Moxxi, an adult woman after several involved relationships wants to just have a fling? especially since we KNOW that Timothy is serious about her and wants to make amends for the past. it paints Moxxi as immature person who just wants to play some with a guy to have sex with sometimes and then get back to her usual, instead of being serious abt her partner
from Timothyâs perspective, itâs just yet another disappointment of not having the real thing. youâre telling me that someone like Timothy who wasnât allowed to have his own life now wouldâve just agreed on this bs arrangement? someone who was still crushing on Moxxi is now satisfied in being her walking mat bc what else will he get in life. I donât know abt u but Timothy never struck me as someone whoâd want an âopen thingâ. after all the things heâs been through he deserves commitment and respect
donât get me started on the goddamn Jackpot mention as well. you cannot convince me that Timothy whose whole motivation in the DLC was breaking free and becoming his own person wouldâve ever wanted to be nearby this place. I was never huge on him traveling the galaxy but even THIS wouldâve been more respectful to his character. but no, instead we get someone with apparently still zero agency over himself who will do everything a person âin powerâ wants. what a joke
you could argue itâs not a big thing. itâs just a lil dialogue after the DLC, I shouldnât take it as gospel. but they were confident enough to put it in, thinking weâre all gonna be sunshine and smiles bc they waved keys in our faces. look itâs a relationship we hinted at, isnât it awesome?? if we just let them put this into canon, who knows how much are they gonna continue to ruin it in the long run. if they think this is totally cool, I donât think they should be nearby writing for neither Tim nor Moxxi nor even any romantic relationship in the first place
I srsly wouldnât mind Tim/oxxi being a thing. but this? this is an insult to everyone involved. we get an offhand mention that just plays into character assassination of a detached woman and her agreeable pathetic man. no agency, no respect, just pure âfan serviceâ by ppl who stopped understanding their characters long ago
