The Selphian Smith || Bado & Riley
Riley followed him inside and quickly unsheathed his sword when the atmosphere completely changed. Definitely felt like there were some ghosts hanging around. He just needed to know whereâŠif only ghosts were easier to look for.Â
The hunter stepped back when the portal manifested and spirits came out So that was itâŠhuh? Riley looked towards Bado and soon ran over towards him to take care of the other side. Nothing would be exactly easy if the dwarf was blindsided. He made sure to try to take a more offensive stance so they wouldnât be driving through the rabble for too long. The goal was to take out that gate or else theyâd be stuck standing there for a while.
He swung at one ghost that charged headfirst, and he managed to defeat it before it could teleport away. Riley stood slightly to the side, making sure that his left, dominant side was at the ready to strike at any point. He put some weight on his right leg so that his prosthetic would be grounded. Just needed to stand his ground and make sure nothing got near him.
"Iâm holdinâ up alright," Riley spoke up as he struck at another ghost, "You want to take the portal?"
Bado nodded at Riley's response, his zweihander coming down on another monster, the treated metal banishing the creature. "Yeah. Think you'll be okay by yourself?" He could only spare a glance at Riley before scythe met sword. It seemed that the creatures were quite set on fighting, and Bado refocused on the specter as he pushed it back, the sheer weight of himself and his blade toppling the poor monster over.
Looking past the ghost, Bado shifed his balance a bit as he turned his attention to the portal, carefully examining twisting magic. The portal itself was relatively clear, as occasional wisps of light shot away from its center to bring in various monsters. The flashes were brief, and none of the creatures bothered to defend the portal as they drew closer to the two, leaving the portal defenseless.
Except for the monsters in front of him.
Bado frowned a bit at the sight, not too sure what to think. I guess I'd better add in a bonus as hazard pay... He was sure his companion could hold his own, but this amount of stress was never enjoyable for anyone. With a slight sigh, Bado gripped his blade tightly, shifting his stance as his gaze turned towards the portal. Without warning, the dwarf rushed forward, his size betraying his speed as he dashed passed the disabled ghost.
"Watch those fireballs!" were the only words Bado could provide as he saw an ominous glow from the corner of his eyes.
