It’s fascinating hearing how other people think. My dad says he has to think of a full sentence word for word before he says it whereas I don’t know what I’m gonna say until I’ve already said it.
this one kinda hurts when i see it every pride month. im glad to see an art piece of mine still circulating, and with nearly 100,000 notes too! it just hurts that im separated from it. everyone in the notes thinks im gone. im still here, but my potential community and connection is lost because im forgotten in place of the art. yeah, my deactivated profile does add to the profoundness of what i was saying, but i am still removed.

She put it right in the middle of the living room for all to see, including guests when the come through the front door. It also sits directly opposite of where she sits, so she looks up from her pc to see it 🥹

one genre of fanfiction that seems to have mostly disappeared since i became an adult is shenanigans-type fics. like not exactly crack but just "the gang goes to 7-11" type, extremely low-stakes plot stories. the beach episodes of fanfiction. i just feel like i don't see those around so much anymore. whered they go. i miss them :(
i know folks are gonna call me a pedo for this one, but i grew up seeing my mom and grandma naked. they had health issues and at times needed care and help showering. and i truly think more kids need to be shown the nonsexual reality of naked women at a young age. there is nothing sexual about my grandmothers breasts, they were simply body parts. more women die of heart attacks because people are too afraid of breasts to do real chest compressions, because they are scared to touch their breasts. the sexualization of our bodies literally kills us. i need people to be more normal about naked bodies and i'm 100% serious.
Yeah I did too and still living with my family I still do see them naked sometimes and it's literally normal. I've helped my grandmother with medical things more times than I can count, even it present day and it's normal. It's literally just normal to help people in need
Going to my local pride event tomorrow. I'm so excited. There's supposed to be a few drag artists and flow/aerial artists before have to leave for work. Don't let me forget to update on how it went
There was so much cool stuff that I was so encapsulated that I did not get pictures of jack. But I did spend way too much money, and got to support some small business and local movements, and I can very easily share pictures of those
CW for taxidermy/bugs, specifically a butterfly. There will be a picture, but I'll save all that for the tail end of the post and add a secondary warning before I show it
There was so much stuff and so many things to check out, I looked at as much as I could. Genuinely such a happy place to be around all together, so many people from so many backgrounds all together in one place really warmed my heart. There was a good amount of booths selling items, and even more raising awareness for various things. Even some with wheels to spin, and prizes to be won. There were even some churches there promoting inclusivity and while I'm not religious, it was still lovely to see.
I wish I could have stuck around longer to watch more artists perform, but I was there to watch at dance duo, an aerial hoop artist, 2 separate drag queens, a mother sing acoustic songs (and her daughter came up to duet Pink Pony Club at the end, it was adorable) and a drag king I believe who had the most wonderful voice. Idk what they were saying. Unfortunately, I am not that fluent in Spanish, but their voice alone almost brought me to tears
A few of the items I got today. I'm very excited to put the first enamel pin on either my jacket or my coveralls (i haven't decided) and then one of the planned parenthood will go on my jacket, the other on my coveralls. The earrings came from a local gothic type shop, they're handmade I do believe, and the plushie stickers are from a different goth store. The fun facts cards were being handed out by a theater group, I intend to scrapbook with them (and maybe deep dive into those peoples histories later)
A stand also sold a few larger pride flags, and I bought one for me and one for my mom. She chose one of the flags that says HUMAN with the various flags in the letters, and I have a simple rainbow flag with the racially inclusive colors (I wish they had a progressive pride flag with the intersex but they did not </3). I also bought a shirt with the events name. Just know it looks awesome as hell. I can however share the hand embroidered jacket I bought though
I walked up to the stand and the artist almost immediately just knew that this jacket was perfect. She was so happy when I came back to the stand and actually bought it after walking away to consider, and I'm so glad I did. We talked for a while, and she said she finds all the jackets and vests from thrift stores then hand embroiders them, then comes to events and sells them. I hope to be like her some day. I can't tell if this is my favorite acquisition or if the next one is.

There was a lovely stand selling various bone jewelry and wind chimes, as well as displayed butterflys. I bought a lovely red and black butterfly from them, they seemed incredibly knowledgeable on what they were selling, they wrote down the name of the butterfly species for me as well but I can't find it. There was three people at this stand, one who knew more about the butterflys (and had a fucking awesome battle vest), one who knew more about the bones, and a third who I think was just their friend or helped with money, I'm not sure. I'm going to picture the butterfly below
