(Discworld) The Light Fantastic- "What Kind Of Tree?"
I love Rincewind and Twoflower, so I wanted to try doing a short scene of "The Light Fantastic" and see how it would look like in my comic-style.

I’m fond of these two.
Last week @mirtadraws and I, finished The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett, the sequel of The Colour of Magic and was time for me to draw fanarts of the beautiful adventures of Rincewind and Two Flowers ✨
At some moment I'll paint them!

Na-Na-Na-Na-Na Bat Hawk (Macheiramphus alcinus)! Named after its favorite snack, and not to be confused with your favorite superhero, this raptor mainly feeds on small bats. It has a wide but fragmented range and might be seen in parts of Africa, Southeast Asia, and Papua New Guinea. It lives in a variety of habitats, such as forests, wetlands, and savannas, where it spends most of its day roosting on a perch. But when the Sun starts to set and bats come out, this bird is quick to strike. Within about a 20-minute timespan, it can catch and gulp down as many as 11 bats!

Something else entirely (I'll tell you in the tags)
Note: don't let your recency bias decide this, actually think back to what was the objectively funniest time on the internet.

My fav whaling logbook phenomenon is when their keeper opts NOT to use whale stamps and instead hand-draws very ornate whales to indicate when he sees them, but then as time goes on the whales get progressively shittier looking because that’s too much work. I know how it feels to get locked into an artistic bit later regretted, man.
E.g.
[ID: Detailed drawing of a sperm whale with shading, eyes, and a spout]
[ID: Wobblier drawing of a whale with no shading and no detailed features]
[ID: The vague blurry notion of a whale]
Maybe he kept encountering shittier whales
just putting this out here:
