Ugh "decolonization means expelling the colonizers" is the worst strawman
Leftist Jew Problems #62
when someone says something antisemitic but not so antisemitic u feel justified making a fuss about it
WWII propaganda poster
You should be fucking ashamed of yourself for sharing Nazi propaganda. I mean, did the SS logo in the corner not tip you off? And then to tag it with #zionism? Disgusting.
Maybe there’s more reactionary scum on the “left” than I had previously thought.
Basically, if you claim to advocate for Jewish self-determination but turn around and decry Palestinian self-determination, you are a hypocrite and a liar.
☝️☝☝ And vice versa.
(Hurray for pro-Palestinian Zionism and leftist Zionism)
No this is gross you can not support Palestinians while supporting an ideology that has and continues to call for our deaths and this is not what the op was talking about.
Zionism is not a monolith. Educate yourself on left wing Zionism, which seeks peace and cooperation with the goal of a two state solution.
You’re thinking of right wing Zionism.
No I know what left wing Zionism is and I know the efforts to distance it from what Zionism has meant for the Palestinian people. I’m telling you it and wanting a two state solution is still racist and antipalestinian.

no one wins from a jewish identity rooted in nationalism
this is what i keep saying….the zionists on here are willing to forego any celebration of jewish culture if it doesn’t include isr*el because zionists hate the diaspora!! they don’t give a shit about their own people or history it’s all for the Ideology and it’s all for the State
tbh im sometimes afraid that Jewish identity is becoming mostly about nationalism and that’s not kosher cuz im not about that life
like we have so much culture to celebrate - we exist in so many places, we have so many traditions and religious practices - why ignore that?
i just really like judaism ok?
hahahahaHAAAA HAAHAHA HA HA HA HAHA HA
I would not be surprised if his answer to “what’s your secret” is “fuck the Nazis, I’m living forever”
He’s running on pure spite.

The thing that annoys me the most about liberals (of any kind, Zionist, non-Zionist etc) when it comes to Palestine is the way they police our struggle. They’ll say things like “Terror attacks aren’t helping your cause”, “BDS isn’t effective!” or “a two-state solution is the better solution because xyz reason regardless what you Palestinians think” and so forth. It’s like honey that’s not for you to decide seriously
Terror attacks are killing ANY chance of ANY solution - one-state, two-state, or otherwise.
“Liberals”? Please just say Jews next time if that’s what you meant, OP. And Jews combating anti-semitism that is getting us killed isn’t policing your struggle, wow.
Except that I didn’t mean Jews at all? I clearly said “liberals” because even non-Jewish white liberals do this, let’s not kid ourselves
Also I’m against anti-Semitism, especially violent anti-Semitism, but let’s not kid ourselves that liberal zionists do pull semantics out of the bag in order to police our struggle. I’ve seen it first hand
@guilt-a-fish I’m pretty sure it’s the Israeli government with its settlement policy that’s killing off any kind of solutions but keep reaching
Your original post came mere hours after an attack which killed a Jewish nurse and so it is in incredibly poor taste, if not outright antisemitism.
I am perfectly justified to police your movement when it threatens - and succeeds in killing - my people. If you believe that there is Jewish heritage to Israel/Palestine, you also must recognize that any solution to the conflict must be done in conjunction with us. I am opposed to the settlement policy of the Israeli government and am open to hearing suggestions from you on how to work together to end the occupation of the West Bank. I, however, am not open to enabling terrorism as a legitimate form of resistance.
Firstly, I didn’t know of the attack. I made this post generally so.
Secondly, I do not approve of these attacks either, particularly against civilians, however they are a form of legitimate resistance when nothing else has worked. Has the peace process gone anywhere? No. Has Israel successfully withdrew its troops from the West Bank and stopped its settlement building, has it lifted the siege on Gaza, does it permit Palestinians to freely visit Jerusalem? The answer is still no. These attacks occur in a certain context and the situation is getting miserable for people who live over there, especially in Hebron and Jerusalem.
But also moreso ask yourself that they’d definitely be legitimate against occupying forces like soldiers. now also ask yourself why Israeli settlers are hardly indicted for the attacks they perpetuate but Palestinians are killed on sight.
Thirdly, how does it threaten your people when Israel is the one with the great balance of power? It’s the one that shoots and indiscriminately kills, it’s the one that killed 2000+ people in Gaza in 2014.
Fourthly, Israel has proven time and time again that it’s not interested in any solutions and don’t give me this “work together” rubbish when the only way a solution to the conflict is through liberation and not through bargaining with oppressors. That clearly hasn’t worked either, just looking at Oslo.
Anyway, I’m done discussing this.
Now that you do know of the attack, I hope you can muster a better apology than that to something that is hurtful towards me and other Jewish people. These attacks either are or are not legitimate forms of resistance. If they are, then you are giving them your support. If they aren’t, then you condemn them. Which is it?
Gaza is an immense tragedy and the enormous loss of life there is something that is awful regardless of which side of the fence you are on this issue. However, do not derail discussion of the attack that happened today. If you are not capable of feeling sympathy for both the Jewish woman who was killed today and the thousands killed in Gaza, I really don’t know what to tell you.
This threatens my people because my people are being killed by this both in Israel and in the diaspora. I expected a lot better from you, @jurhfalastini and I hope that we can work towards justice for BOTH our peoples.
Look, it pains me too when Jews in or out of Israel are murdered, and tumblr’s lack of acknowledgement of these incidents is frustrating. But I’m not sure why you’re reducing Palestinian resistance down to two absolutes and demanding that jurhfalastini pick one. That’s kind of a double standard, given the way pro-Israel/zionist jumblr is allowed to easily say things like, “It’s a tragedy that thousands of Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, but I still support Israel.” I’m not sure then why policing Palestinians’ support of their own resistance would be considered remotely okay.
Not that it’s even a fair comparison to begin with because Israel does indeed have the upper hand, and until this is widely and meaningfully acknowledged, working together for justice for both peoples isn’t possible.
The 43 group was a Jewish antifascist group in England, consisting for a large part of people who had served in the war against Nazi Germany, only to find that fascism was alive and well in their own country when they came back home. These are some of the people who helped destroy Mosley’s Union Movement in the 1940′s. From this amazing [documentary]
BDS makes me uncomfortable to be Jewish on campus. It also gives the false idea that Israel is solely to blame for all conflicts in the region and that the Palestinians are above fault in the international community. It advocates a one state solution, which, by extension, effectively means that Jews will be pushed into the sea and denies us a safe haven from a world of antisemitism. This "no peace, no recognition, no negotiations" rhetoric is bigoted and counterproductive to the entire region.
I mean I can’t speak to your personal feelings, but as for everything else you said you’re literally just not correct. Anyway.
so this tankie facebook page-other than completly messing up how this meme even works-took a poster that was originally a literal Nazi propaganda poster, added a Star of David and a dollar sign, and is trying to say that they arent being anti-Semetic
So there’s an update…

And how did they know Hebrew, you may ask? Many priests at this time were Jewish orphans and/or Jews stolen from their families and raised by missionaries/nuns.
