Damn how do i explain to people that Merlin is one of the best series ever with its terrible plot holes, lack of consistency and classic late 2000s CGI effects

Another colorized version of last year’s Inktober digital sketch, which was redrawn in more portrait style and then colorized. iPad Pro and procreate.
Isn’t it funny that the first episode is The Dragon’s Call? Not something like Destiny’s Call or The Prophecy’s Call or hmm I don’t know The Call of Destiny-
Idk it seems like the writers are making a point, like it’s The Dragon’s Call because it’s Kilgharrah starting it all, planting this obsessive idea into the pliable mind of a boy who’s been searching for a purpose his whole life.
It wasn’t really destiny, was it? Not at first, anyway? It was the selfish manipulation of an old scaly fortune cookie, looking only to somehow guilt or pressure this boy into forging a free world for him and then releasing him into that world to terrorize and take revenge as he likes.
So it’s the Dragon’s call. Destiny came later, a side effect with consequences that not even Kilgharrah could have foreseen.
In which Arthur commissions tomes on magic to be added to Camelot’s libraries every solstice to begin rebuilding the stores of knowledge that were lost to the purge.
Merlin 🤝 Gwen 🤝 Lancelot
Magically brainwashed by Morgana in her latest attempt to usurp Camelot’s throne
@oracleofdiscord don’t hide this
Morgana: Yeah, I’m LGBT
Morgana: Large knives

King Alined talking about Arthur.
Yes he’s a villian but the gaydar is tingling
MERLIN (2008 - 2012) Morgana Pendragon ▶ Season 4, Episode 11: “The Hunter’s Heart”
Isolde is to the WLWs as Gwaine is to the MLMs
Sometimes I miss bbc merlin A Lot
“Eagle eyed fans will notice a different haircut for Bradley here. We shot for a week early on in this season with this longer hair to show his character progression, and then decided it just didn’t feel like the Arthur we knew.” (x)
In a parallel universe, we got to see Arthur with long hair living a happy life during Golden Age of Camelot with his best knight Mordred and court sorcerer/husband Merlin by his sides and his sister living a peaceful life with her girlfriend Gwen in the countryside where they were taking care of Aithusa and other new baby dragons
“this character is not canonically bisexual” to YOU. i know them personally
Literally everyone in BBC Merlin
Currently thinking about how the Arthur pulling Excalibur out of the stone scene in Merlin must have looked to Gwen (who, if you don't remember, was the one who gave the sword to Merlin in the first place)
Merlin: *explaining the entire 'legend' behind the sword in the stone to Arthur*
Gwen, very much remembering that sword and when she gave it to Merlin: Huh. That's suspicious. That's weird.
