Was thinking about ear piercings again recently and remembered my experience getting my first-ever earlobe piercings.

Guess the lesson for anything you do to your body is to #DoItForYou (no, seriously, do it because YOU want to do it and not because of somebody else).

Note to Self

Hello,

I haven't written on this blog in ages (something more than a few of you might have experience with . . . or not - who am I to know how you blog? Heh).

But I thought of writing something to post here because (1) it's too personal for Facebook, (2) Twitter's word limit is too . . . limiting, and (3) I just really needed to get something off my chest (and writing somehow really helps with that).

So to my point -- sometimes, when I feel so constricted and hopeless by the day-to-day routine of my life in a 9-to-5 job (or 9-to-6, because lunch and tea break), I think of how I still have so much of my life ahead of me.

I'm not sure what exactly I'll be doing with my life, but just the thought that I've got a blank slate ahead of me and a plethora of opportunities I can chase after gives me a teensy, tiny bit of hope that I won't be stuck at where I am forever.

And sometimes I just really need to remind myself of that.

So this is a written reminder for future me and for any of you out there who feel like your life isn't going in any particular direction -- you're not going to stay stuck where you are forever.

As much as life may seem dark and dreary and hard, there are also moments of light and excitement and togetherness. There will be bright moments, and someday, somehow, you will find something that will light a blaze, a passion, in you.

Believe in that. Believe in you.

Me and my sister eating out at a restaurant. Me: Wanna get the bill? Din: Okay, here's the plan. I go out first and then you say "Hey, where's my sister?" And then you come out after me and we both run. Me: . . .

You know what's annoying? When you desperately want to take a look at the back of your earlobe but you can't because your face is in the way!

jane austen was so lit because she wrote about men the way men typically write about women i.e. her stories just centered around women and men were only there for the sake of women, and her books could have been all bitter and sad about the state of women in that century, but instead they’re sweet honest observational stories of friendship, family and love *sighs* what a lady i am sorry i ever doubted you cos I was bored in high school

Sometimes I get sad because of a million little things, so I mentally pat myself on the back to cheer myself up but then my alter ego thinks it’s pathetic and i end up getting sad all over again.

Dastardly Clever Characters

Oh, how I love books with dastardly clever protagonists! And all the tension and suspense when all the other characters underestimate the protagonist until his (or her) cleverness is revealed and they can do nothing but gape in wonder while you, the reader, crow with delight because YOU KNEW ALL ALONG! HAHAHAHA
