2 years! 2 years of writing at least one paragraph a day has given me more than I ever would have thought baby steps could produce. Don't quit. You can work with a little, but nothing is always nothing. This year: 19 individual chapters contributing to 1 finished novel (see chunk of pages at the top ☺️ ) Approximately 220 handwritten pages in 4 filled notebooks Approximately 215 printed pages 6 different short stories A handful of poems (Do the work e-mails count? This weekend, I finished writing this book, my third. It's always a surreal sensation to know that something you've dedicated years of thought to has become a full-bodied entity, ready to be released in all its flaws and wonders to the world, but here it is. I recently crossed the 300 page mark in the story I'm focusing on writing, "Between Your Soul and Mine." Another little piece of excitement in the chain. Today I received my first review for my novel "These Lovely Forms" on #inkitt. A direct result, I'm sure, of the highlighted attention I'll be receiving for this month in their book club. This means a ton to me, because I haven't been able to get much feedback for this particular work (reviews in the single digits on the fictionpress), and I'm through with hiding it and am so happy it's finally getting a spot light. (May I be bold enough to even say it's good enough to deserve it?) That is all. I hope you all are having just as great a start to your Septembers <3
