the world is getting so ugly and bleak and it’s hard not to feel so hopeless. but we have to remember that they want us to feel that way.
it reminds me of this quote by dan savage - “During the darkest days of the AIDS crisis we buried our friends in the morning, we protested in the afternoon, and we danced all night, and it was the dance that kept us in the fight because it was the dance we were fighting for.”
joy is resistance. it’s really scary times but we are all in this together.

Hi 👋, My name is Mohammad, and I’m reaching out in a moment of desperate need. I’m a father of three young children living in Gaza, and we are caught in the midst of a catastrophic war. Our home is no longer a safe haven, and the future here seems increasingly uncertain. 💔
I’ve launched a fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $40,000 to relocate my family to a safer place where my children can grow up in peace and have a chance at a brighter future.
Unfortunately, my previous fundraising efforts were abruptly halted when my account was terminated without explanation. However, I remain determined to keep fighting for my family’s safety and well-being. 🫶
If you could take a moment to read our story, consider donating, or simply share our campaign with others, it would make an incredible difference. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to safety and a new beginning. 🙏
Thank you for your time, compassion, and support. ❤️🩹

My name is Mohammad Salem Abu Swierh, a husband and father of… Mohammed Abu Swierh needs your support for Help Mohammed's Family From Gaza R
I'm sorry for being so sappy, but I wanted to show you guys something.
When I first donated to PCRF in December 2023, it was barely 10% close to its goal. Now in March 2024, they're also 100%. Everyone of you has helped support a better future for Gaza.
They're so close to their goal. Please donate or share this post so that they can get to their goal🇵🇸
Israel does not even want a bird to be named after Palestine.
Israel wants to erase Palestine. Erase it off the map. Erase all mentions of Palestine. They want nothing to remain.
I made intersex trans man (left) and intersex trans woman (right) flags back in 2021 and I posted them on twitter but never on here so since someone else has posted there versions here I figured I'd put mine on here too! The colors were purely made based on my own brain's associations tbh. Lavender was just a color I saw as being a good symbol between trans and intersex, for trans man I saw the blue fitting ofc from trans flag and green because neutral but 'masc' leaning, and pink for trans women bc from trans flag and yellow for because it could be seen as 'fem' leaning with the pink and also lavender is a shade of purple and yellow and purple is used on the intersex flag. Plus I think all the colors used look nice together.
Just another option for intersex trans man and intersex trans woman flags!
[flag descriptions:
flag on left: flag has 7 horizontal stripes from top to bottom being dark lavender, lavender, light minty blue, light green, light minty blue, lavender, and dark lavender.
flag on right: flag has 7 horizontal stripes from top to bottom being dark lavender, lavender, pink, yellow, pink, lavender, and dark lavender.

Here’s a “life-hack” for you.
Apparently concentrated Kool-Aid can be used as a pretty effective leather dye.
I was making a drink while cutting the snaps off some new straps for my pauldrons and I got curious, so I tried it, thinking, “ok even if this works, it will just wash out.”
Nope.
It took the “dye” (undiluted) in about 3 seconds. After drying for about an hour and a half, it would not wash off in the hottest tap-water. It would not wash out after soaking for 30 minutes.
It did not wash out until I BOILED it, and even then, only by a tiny bit and it gave it a weathered look that was kind of cool.
Add some waterproofing and I’d wager it would survive even that.
That rich red is only one application too.
Plus it smells great, lol.
So there you go, cheap, fruity smelling leather dye in all the colors Kool-Aid has to offer.
this may be important to some of my followers *and certainly not just getting reblogged because of my costuming and my boyfriends desire for leather armor*
the flavor only packets where you are supposed add sugar are the best.
they will dye any natural fiber: leather, wool, cotton, hair, flax, jute, silk and so forth.
heat the dye water so it is more potent.
let dry then rinse excess out in cold water.
there’s a whole system to this.
