Final mini of 2023!
I feel like the rust on this guy's armor has worked out better compared to the plague marine, so thats certainly a good thing.
The little nurgling was a joy to paint as well.
Finished painting up this unhinged lil guy!
This is my first finished and based mini since I've started painting after a long break. It didn't turn out exactly the way I was planning, but I'm proud of myself for not giving up.

Having forgotten about this design of mini for the World Eaters, seeing it again, I'm not sure how I feel about it. What do you think?
prepped and started painting these guys over the weekend

Warhammer Chainrasps: Work In Progress
These were originally eBay rescue models (I have ten in total), and I envisioned painting the horde in a dark, Gothic manner to help accentuate the creepy/horror vibe of the sculpts. That said, I find myself struggling with a grimdark aesthetic -- my painted miniatures never seem to stand out on the tabletop (just turn out looking brown and drab).
That's why I broke down and used one of my tried and true favorites -- bright fluorescent green. I still have more to do with this WIP, but I think the green gives a ghostly look and helps balance the darker tones -- not to mention that the miniatures now have a better tabletop presence. Not my original idea going into the project, but that's one of the best things about miniature painting -- discovering something new and unexpected.
Mounted weirdnob done!
Finished Foul Blightspawn. Still over the moon with how that tank turned out.
