Raven Queen in 1890s, Apple White in Italian Renaissance.

Briar Beauty in 1920s, Madeline Hatter in 1880s

No particularly reason for the eras, just the vibe I get from the characters and their designs!

Thinking about them....

Thinking about how Pink Diamonds gems have issues of identity. How they're the silly ones. How they feel they dont belong where they are. Or they feel the desperate need to prove they do. Maybe they're a bit dumb but they can be smart and strong too. They need to prove that to themselves. They can mature if they become aware.

Thinking about how Blue Diamonds gems are full of Sadness and regret. Thinking about how they hurt others and how they hurt themselves in the process. Thinking about their need for someone brighter, someone warmer than them. Thinking about their arrogance and how they believe they know better until its shoved in their face that they dont.

Thinking about how Yellow Diamonds gems are arrogant and deeply insecure. They'll never show it of course, never aknowledge it but it'll always be there. Thinking about how they bury themselves in their work and believe without a doubt they're always in the right until they hurt someone they love. Thinking about how blunt they are, how they feel the need to communicate but dont know how to soften. How they yearn for someone sheltered away, someone sad.

Thinking, thinking.
