Hi I would love and appreciate anyone who follows my other blog 💗 💓 please and thanks babes

we all need to start appreciating peridot stevenuniverse more for what she did for us. it would be easier to say what she DIDN'T do honestly. she's autistic. she's silly. she's sad and little. she's an overworked i. t. guy. she's a saturday morning cartoon villain. she's aroace. she's gay. she yelled at her boss and immediately had a mental breakdown. she's both a victim of and perpetuates the oppressive society she was raised in. she has to unlearn her conceptions of other people's worth and her own worth so she stops hurting other people and hurting herself. she achieves this in part through robot fights. she's hyperfixated on a canadian soap opera. she draws shipping charts. she's nonbinary. she can never go home again. she doesn't want to go home again. she went from believing literally anything was a weapon that could be used to harm her to farming and making art and music with her best friend in a barn. she's like 3 feet tall. she has a twitter account where she talks in all caps constantly. she's green and her hair is a triangle literally what can't she do.
truly nothing about house md prepares you for wilson. he's fucking insane. he's been divorced three times. he's the only person who can scheme just as well as house. he gives a patient his own liver bc he felt bad for him - a patient who didn't even know wilson's name. btw. he noticed a patient had depression bc he never mentioned his grandkids. he starred in a porno. he dosed house with antidepressants for several weeks. he allowed his boybestie and his gf to share custody of him and didn't even try to stop it. house told him to buy a piece of furniture that represented who he was, and he bought a $4000+ organ for house. he was gonna torpedo his career to talk abt euthanasia bc one of his patients suffered longer than he had to. he let house move into his 1 bed apartment bc his therapist thought it'd be a good idea. this man would do anything for anybody if they let him. he'd fucking quit his job to save a snail off the sidewalk. bro is not normal in the slightest
did y'all see that 10-year anniversary article where rebecca sugar talked about a lot of SU stuff including the fact they'd do a revival if people were loud about wanting it.......
In celebration of 'Steven Universe' turning 10, creator Rebecca Sugar discusses Garnet's wedding, unseen Gems and the possibility of a serie
for those who dont wanna click (or even those who do) here's what they say about it (at the end of the article)
I would really, really appreciate it if everyone who would be interested in something like that would make a ton of noise and make it really known — because I would be thrilled to explore that. I think in this current media landscape, if there’s a huge amount of public demand, then that is something that becomes impossible to ignore. I love these characters and I love this world, and I would love to return to it. And I hope, if everyone else feels the same as I do, I may have an opportunity to do something like that.
in general this was a really interesting interview to read but this got me excited. come on guys!!!!!
The Pacific Ocean is huge.
If they make an earth flag it should be of this angle to piss off the most amount of people
None Earth with South New Zealand
The amount of time you have to spend on this website to still remember the Deep Lore like None Pizza with Left Beef, only to apply it to this post. Truly, boggling.
just thinking about how important My Policeman is to Harry
kotaro lives alone (2022) tells the story of a neglected 4 year old who talks like a feudal knight and wears a t-shirt with the word god written on it, his (1) tired new parental figure neighbour who experienced his first real emotion when the kid moved in next door but would rather just walk him everywhere than express how much he means to him, his (1) other himbo neighbour who only wears a purple leopard suit + several stray cats whose birthdays they celebrate AND it tells a very complex and sad story about how cruel parents can be? one minute you’re melting over how adorable the kid is and the next second your blood is frozen when bits of his past are revealed. and yet this show was healing. the kid is only four and after having gone through hell he finally has found a family of strange lonely people that takes care of him. even the cashiers, the teachers and the newspaper delivery guy care about him. this show deals with some triggering child trauma and neglect stuff, canon found family, a sweet himbo, a tired artist who saw the kid and unconsciously decided to adopt him after like, what, ten seconds? and an adorable child that deserves the entire world and thinks he’s the guardian of all his adult friends. he carries a toy sword around and collects cool rocks. he physically sparkles when he’s happy. this anime is an ode to found families and how kindness and love are something you don’t need to fight for. if you can stomach heavy topics and want to melt and cry at the same time, watch kotaro lives alone (2022)
I gotta talk about Jin (Mei's dad) for a second because I freaking adore him
He's such an understated character compared to the others in the supporting cast, but he's such an important supporting character. His soft, quiet approach to things comes in direct contrast to how other characters react to stressful situations. When Mei's worried about the ritual, he's there to gently encourage her to choose the path she wants, and that maybe getting rid of the Panda isn't something she has to do if she doesn't want to.
When the ritual fails and Mei runs off, he's the only person who notices that Ming is Not OK and he tries to offer her encouragement. While the rest of her family is freaking out - mostly at her - he's the only one trying to reassure her. He's the only one who notices her tears. He's the only one who realizes she's literally about to explode and he tries to help her.
And then this man, this sweet adorably awkward man, somehow managed to locate and presumably break into the equipment room at the freaking SkyDome to get the line chalker for the baseball field and started painting a giant - and also near perfect - circle around a furious godzilla-sized red panda before even Mei's Grandma could tell him to. Like she turned to get his help and the guy is already running with the line chalker and has 2/3s of the circle done.
Bless Jin. He's an incredible dad and husband (also one badass cook)
mommy issues are infinitely more interesting than daddy issues cause daddy issues are always just obvious he’s a supervillain while mother daughter relationships are extremely complicated and nuanced and oftentimes you’ve gotta bring grandma in too for the full picture
All the men and parents saying that Turning Red is a terrible movie because “this isn’t how young teenage girls act, it’s unrealistic” are brain dead maroons who know don’t really know a single thing about girls.
No, for real, that IS how a lot young teen girls act, and the crew did a damn good job portraying them all. What are my sources? Me. I was a young teen girl a long time ago, and a lot of how the girls acted and things they did were the exact same to what me and my other teen girlfriends were like and did. That movie was a slap to my face and I had a BLAST remembering that shit even if, yeah, some of it is “cringe” to this day. It’s great to see a movie finally get it right–finally portray young girls right and not be so mean spirited about it. So all the men crying about this movie NOT BEING MADE FOR MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE can fucking shut up, and the parents complaining really need to look at their own kid(s) and ask themselves if they really do know them.
i just saw red and as a former "weird girl" all i have to say is that i've never felt so seen. i cried multiple times just lookin at the girls because (even tho i mever had a boyband phase) i saw so much of my unapologetic younger self in them..
i also loved the ugly cries and tarantums mei lets out. they allowed this girl to feel and show so much raw emotion. idk how to explain it but it gave me comfort that she was allowed to show anger and sadness in ways characters (especially female ones) often don't get to because they're too busy "looking pretty" for the screens.... it felt realistic that every emotion was stronger and messier than what we're used to see.... does that make sense?
I’m sorry I’ll never be like you!
