which brothers and charataer are heavy sleeper and light sleeper in your opinion, also a guide how to put lucfier to sleep? 😭 Solomon cooking is one canonly. And bartbotes as well. Do we know any canon stuff which makes Lucifer sleep or weak?
thanks for the ask, i miss pondering over stuff!
what kind of sleepers are the characters?
first, my credentials: year long experience as a "sleep disturbed person" or as i would call it, someone who values efficiency over time restlessly knocked tf out
lucifer: is in a brutallll sleep deficit. normally, he has issues falling and staying asleep, so instead of brute forcing himself to sleep he uses the time to catch up on work instead. he'll live like this until he practically cannot stand anymore and then falls into a deep ass slumber (the only time he's a heavy sleeper). also does NOT move in his sleep it's giving stone statue.
mammon: HEAVY heavy sleeper. he can fall asleep at the drop of a hat and will sleep for like 12 hours unless he sets an alarm. also a very loud and very active sleeper. snork zzzz mimimi all the way.
levi: light sleeper. will "pre-sleep" before game events and stuff (meaning he'll go to bed at a reasonable time, then take a 2 hour power nap and then stays awake for as long as possible #thegrindneverstops)
satan: mostly has a reasonable sleep schedule. sometimes ends up reading way into the night, but he's disciplined enough to not fuck up his sleep schedule up further by taking naps. he can balance it out pretty well and knows his limits.
asmo: normally a light sleeper, but he always makes sure to put on a sleep mask, take his melatonin before bed and then conks out for at least 8 hours bc he needs his beauty sleep. doesn't really nap tho.
beelzebub: casually blessed with the normalest of sleep schedules. neither a heavy or light sleeper. he does have a special sense for belphie related shenanigans tho, so he might wake up early when he senses belphie might be sleepwalking or stuff
belphie: the OG heavy sleeper. can fall asleep in seconds, is almost impossible to wake up again. will sleep EVERYWHERE on ANYTHING or ANYONE regardless of the time of day.
barbatos: always gets 6 crisp hours of sleep, which is more than enough for him. person number 2 who barely moves in his sleep.
diavolo: heavy sleeper. moves A LOT in his sleep. will wake up in the weirdest positions. like feet by the head board. or completely tangled up in his sheets. or just on the ground alltogether.
simeon: light sleeper. has trouble falling asleep, but what makes him different from lucifer is the fact that he actually stays in bed and gives it a proper try. will end up falling asleep but anything out of the ordinary will wake him up again.
solomon: when he gets too focused on sorcery he will abandon his sleep schedule for good. oftentimes stays awake untilt he morning hours.
he does appreciate sleeping in from time to time and is difficult to get out of bed then.
luke: tends to overthink at night, but simeon makes sure he goes to bed on time. gets cranky when he hasn't slept enough.
thirteen: sleep is overratedddd. she does not give a fuck about what is considered proper sleep and what isn't. she's ping-ponging between 24+hours without sleep or 12 hours of sleep.
raphael: grampa sleep schedule. he's in bed at 9pm and wakes up at 5am. out like a light as well. is a surprisingly active sleeper tho.
mephistopheles: is generally in bed before midnight. the house staff will remind him to go to bed on time and he wants to set a good example for his little brother. goes to sleep wearing a satin robe and a sleep mask.
and now: a short guide to getting lucifer to sleep
watch him avoid the bed for 4 days+
hand him a horn of two bottles of demonus
watch and wait
fr tho, i think the canonical ways to get him rest we've seen were the brothers tattling to diavolo or mc? i can think of a few occasions where diavolo either forced him to take time off or just took him on a vacation, thus forcefully removing him from work
i think there are also moments where mc can force him to take a break, but aside from that, all hope is lost i fear
won't you walk away? - a dialuci omegaverse oneshot
happy (almost belated) dialuci week! and as always the biggest thanks to @pseudonymphomania for hosting it in the first place <3

summary:
Lucifer's eyes flew wide open. “Yours? Why should your pheromones be this…”
Slowly, their eyes met and Diavolo sighed. He seemed to wait for the other shoe to drop.
“Why did Barbatos want me to leave?” Lucifer suddenly asked.
He watched the way Diavolo’s knuckles paled from his grip on the edge of the table. “I fear you already know.”
With uncertain steps, he moved closer. “Well clearly I must be mistaken.” He grabbed Diavolo’s wrist and when Diavolo made no attempt to pull himself free, he pushed it to his nose. Immediately, his senses were flooded with pheromones.
Omega pheromones.
With Lucifer having to suffer through his first rut in ages and Diavolo finally opening up about being an Omega, they are trying to navigate spending their respective heat and rut in Diavolo's Castle. Will they finally manage to talk about their relationship? Or will one of them end up walking away?

Lucifer pulled his coat closer to his body as a cold gust of wind tousled his hair. As per usual their dinner at Ristorante Six had been exquisite. Three courses and an endless supply of Demonus had left him sufficiently satisfied.
Diavolo was by his side, his shoulder pressing into Lucifer’s. “So this is it…” he said slowly. He turned and looked at Lucifer for a moment, and a smile graced his face as he extended his hand.
Lucifer grasped it tightly and looked back at him. “This is it,” he agreed.
Before he could pull his hand away, Diavolo pressed his left one over their joined hands as well, turning the handshake into something much more intimate.
“Your support has always meant the world to me, I hope you are aware of that,” he said slowly, his voice low.
Lucifer nodded, his throat unexpectedly tight with nostalgia at the thought of leaving his position as Diavolo’s right hand man behind.
How strange. He’d always assumed freeing himself of his duties would leave him feeling much more indifferent, if not relieved.
“Your praise is unnecessary,” he replied. “Our promise will continue to stand, regardless of what position I hold. I have never taken it as a word bound solely to our professional relationship.”
Diavolo nodded, seemingly satisfied with the answer. “Do promise you won't be a stranger. I fear I will miss you quite a bit.”
Lucifer shook his head. “Satan is just as capable of keeping you busy as I am, believe me.”
Diavolo pulled Lucifer's hand closer to his chest and then, after a short moment of consideration, he pulled him close and embraced him tightly. “I fear that is not what I was trying to say,” he mumbled, his arm secure around Lucifer’s back, his breath hitting his neck.
He shuddered. Lucifer tried to ignore the warmth of Diavolo’s hand on his upper back, when something else caught his attention, all too sudden, if not fleeting: a bittersweet scent wafting through the air, part satisfied and part regretful.
Lucifer breathed it in deeply, Diavolo’s arms around his body a familiar weight, warm and alive. For a split second, he found himself feeling strangely at peace.
The scent disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. How peculiar. He could've sworn it smelled strangely familiar.
“I suppose so,” he replied belatedly, refusing to ask Diavolo what he could’ve possibly meant instead. He cleared his throat, then pulled away. A cold gust of air tousled his hair and he shivered.
Diavolo’s coronation had been an opulent celebration, the castle filled to the brim with demons of all ages, buzzing with excitement. After all, the Devildom had been kingless for far too many years to count.
Of course, the former Demon King’s missing presence continued to linger in the air, unspoken about yet ever so tangible, but the prospect of a new ruler was enough to sweeten that sour tang.
And just like that, to the surprise of many, Satan had been announced as First Consul.
Lucifer spent the following weeks redirecting questions about his sudden departure with subdued praise about Satan’s competence.
The first week had been relaxing. Lucifer slept for much longer than he ever had in ages. He made lists and plans of problems in the House of Lamentation he had pushed aside due to his busy schedule. He cooked dinner more often and tried to look after his brothers more. Most days, there was no need to even look at his DDD. When Simeon and Raphael came to visit, he even had time to play several rounds of chess with them.
The second week turned out to be much more troublesome. Begrudgingly, Lucifer had to admit that the lack of a schedule and more importantly, the lack of assignments, made him feel restless.
He hated to admit it, but this newfound free time was something he didn't quite know how to get used to.
And quickly, just as he was wishing for a proper distraction, there was another issue that arose, an issue he hasn't paid any mind to in ages.
At first, he didn't notice it. In the end, annoyingly enough, it was his family that had to point it out for him.
Lucifer was sitting at the breakfast table, shooting daggers at the two sorcerers who had dropped by for an unannounced visit.
To be more precise, he was shooting daggers at one very specific sorcerer.
MC was by Satan’s side, lost in conversation about a book they had recently read. Although they were a recessive alpha, their pheromones had never been unpleasant and most certainly never been too overpowering to him. It was an unusual sentiment, but perfectly characteristic for them. Satan had deep shadows under his eyes, but MC’s unexpected presence seemed to serve as a welcome distraction. A pile of work documents was by his side, for the moment abandoned for the sake of idle conversation. Lucifer wondered, as he often had these past weeks, if recommending him for the position had been the right choice after all.
But there was the issue of the second sorcerer at hand. Solomon was sitting next to Asmodeus, their thighs touching, heads far too close for comfort. Although Asmodeus’ arm was wrapped around Solomon’s neck, far too casual with the way he ran his pointer up alabaster skin, Lucifer knew that somehow, Solomon was to blame for it.
He wrinkled his nose. “Solomon,” he began. “I would appreciate it if you would kindly refrain from stinking up the entire room."
Asmodeus’ head shot up. Lucifer didn't miss the way he was drawing comforting circles over the sorcerer’s thigh, an apologetic smile on his lips. “Come on Lucifer, don't be like that. They just got here and you’re already being perfectly unwelcoming!”
Solomon tilted his head to the side. “Are you alright? I don't think you've ever had issues with my pheromones before. Especially considering how I didn’t actually release them.”
Lucifer breathed out through his mouth, resisting the urge to pinch his nose shut as well. “That's where you would be incorrect. Your pheromones have always been nothing but unpleasant to me. Even more of an issue is the fact that it’s 8 in the morning and you are cozying up to my little brother. Have you no shame?”
MC and Satan exchanged glances. “Lucifer…” MC began. “Have you maybe considered that your rut might be coming? You definitely smell like it.”
Lucifer rolled his eyes. “Preposterous.” There was no way he would've missed a dose.
Solomon took in a deep breath as well and raised his brows. “I think so too.”
Lucifer tutted his tongue. Still, he took out his DDD and checked his calendar. The room was silent as he thumbed through the dates and did the math.
Lucifer ran his hand over his forehead. The reminder hadn't gone off. He was almost a week late taking his suppressants. And he knew for a fact that he'd just run out.
The chair almost toppled over as he got up and headed to his room in a hurry.
Lucifer was staring down the royal physician. Disbelief was clouding his senses, but he had enough restraint left to reel in several unkind words that were sitting on the tip of his tongue.
“We are terribly sorry, Lord Lucifer. We are under strict orders here. As of right now, we cannot prescribe your usual suppressants. It would be detrimental to your health.”
No argument had been enough to tip the scales. The only thing that was stopping him from throwing a proper fit were the physician’s fearful eyes and bird-like shoulders.
“And exactly whose orders are you under?”
The royal physician was knotting their hands together. “Well, normally, we only give out such strong suppressants when there's a justifiable reason. In your case, that would’ve been your former occupation. When we checked your medical history, we noticed that you've been on high grade suppressants for decades. It's certainly been an oversight on our part as well, and we apologise for that deeply, but please understand: For your own health, you need to stop taking them. You are way past the recommended intake period. Please understand, we are very sorry.”
Lucifer let out a deep breath. “Well, it certainly sounds like there's no way around it, is there now?”
So he left the royal physician’s practice with empty hands and an occupied mind.
Lucifer tipped back his head and pressed his eyes shut. The back of his head hit the cool brick wall. It was only a short reprieve. The air was far too thick with pheromones of Alphas and Omegas alike. Quickly, he pressed the back of his hand to his nose, but it did little to alleviate his anguish.
For a moment, there was nothing but the irregular rhythm of his heart, paired with his constrained breaths.
His hand, balled into a tight fist, was pressed over his heart. He was waiting for his body to relearn what calmness meant, was waiting for common sense to make sense again, but he was too cross with himself, even more so with that useless royal physician and the whole world along with it.
It was no secret that the Avatar of Pride was a dominant Alpha. His pheromones had always been impossible to hide, his stature quite typical for an Alpha of his status.
The fact that Lucifer had been using heavy duty suppressants ever since his days in the Celestial Realm however, was more of a secret.
Lucifer’s rut had always been a thorn in his side. He had experienced it once, confined to the four walls of his chambers in the Celestial Realm, just him and his own hand, desperate and alone, Simeon stressing in front of his bedroom door. Not that he could’ve helped, or that this kind of help would've been something that Lucifer would've accepted. Still, Simeon had stayed, almost more distressed than Lucifer himself. That had been enough for a lifetime.
Being exposed to his own desires, such a tasteless loss of control, was completely unthinkable for his role as Diavolo’s right hand man. So when he had been offered strong suppressants, under the guise of it aiding with his recent fall, he had accepted graciously.
Now they were telling him he had to go through such a rut again, over such trivial matters as his own health? What a ridiculous notion.
Lucifer knew better than to scrap his entire schedule over something as insignificant as his first rut in centuries.
Who cared that he could barely feel his legs, and that his head felt far too heavy to focus? There was work to be taken care of.
Diavolo had requested his presence.
When he arrived at the Demon King’s castle, he was greeted by Barbatos, who threw him a quizzical look before lifting his right hand, almost as if to stop him.
“Lucifer,” he began. “Pardon me for speaking so plainly, but it seems like your rut is about to begin.”
Lucifer breathed out through his nose. Barbatos mentioning it was entirely unnecessary. “There is no need to concern yourself with that,” he said quickly.
Barbatos’ hand was still up in the air. “And that is where you would be incorrect.”
“You are a Beta. This has no impact on you.”
“Perhaps so, still I cannot let the Young Master see you like this.”
Lucifer raised an eyebrow. Shame was filling his chest, quick and hot. “That's entirely unnecessary,” he attempted to argue, but Barbatos simply shook his head.
“It would be inappropriate,” he insisted.
Lucifer stared at him for a moment before shaking his head. “Inappropriate? I was summoned here-”
“Please take the time to look after your health first. I am quite certain the Young Master will-”
“Barbatos, it is quite alright,” Diavolo cut in as he entered the room. “I am certainly old enough to handle myself.” Then, he turned his head with a warm smile on his lips and clasped his hands around his former right hand man’s. “Lucifer, my friend! How have you been faring?”
It was unthinkable to ignore the warmth of Diavolo’s hands on his skin. Lucifer took a deep breath before pulling his hand away and crossing his arms. “Life has been satisfactory, if not somewhat dull.”
Diavolo laughed at that.
“Young Master, do you truly believe this is a good idea?”
“Coincidentally, it is related to the topic I wanted to discuss with him. There is no need to fret Barbatos.”
Although reluctantly, the royal steward nodded courtly.
“If you would leave us to our own devices for now?” Barbatos retreated with a courteous nod. The door fell shut behind him and Diavolo turned to Lucifer.
“Word has it you met up with the royal physician?”
Lucifer didn't feel like revisiting that particular memory, but he nodded nonetheless. “They refuse to hand out my usual suppressants.”
Diavolo mustered him from head to toe, then gave a noncommittal noise. “I cannot say I am surprised.”
Lucifer pushed his bangs out of his face. He didn't care to hide the scowl that pulled on the corners of his mouth. “For my own sake, they said,” he complained. A dry laugh left his lips. “How entirely unbelievable that now is the time they decide to grow a spine.”
Diavolo smiled to himself, and there it was again, that familiar bittersweet scent. “Ah, yes. That is what I wanted to discuss with you.” A certain nervousness was introduced to the mix. Lucifer breathed in deeply. Despite everything, he didn't dislike the scent, but he could feel it rousing something inside of him, something that made him want to reply with his own pheromones just to see how they would mix.
“What is it you wanted to discuss?” Lucifer asked belatedly.
For a moment, Diavolo seemed to ponder over his words. “I do suffer the same fate as you,” Diavolo began. “The royal physician took me off my suppressants now that they aren't under my father's orders anymore. With my coronation, I have regained freedom over my health in that regard.”
Lucifer was almost too focused on the scent to listen to his words.
“Your pheromones have never bothered me,” he said. “Although I almost kicked Solomon out of the House of Lamentation yesterday.”
Diavolo laughed, deep and warm. Then, he took a deep breath. “I suppose there might be a reason for that. I don't quite know how to tell you this when we've known each other for this long. Please know that it was never my intention to keep this from you, but my father made sure that nobody knows.”
Lucifer mixed the strange pheromones with his own. It was an intoxicating mix.
Then, Diavolo stepped closer. For a moment he faltered and had to grip the edge of the table for support. The scent got much stronger and Lucifer looked up.
“Please calm your pheromones,” Diavolo said, his tone strangely aggravated. “It is quite unbearable.”
Lucifer felt strangely hurt, but Diavolo was quick to lift his hands in a calming manner. “Not in that way, I promise.”
“There is no need to explain yourself. After all, it is quite natural for an Alpha to…” For an Alpha to…?
He took another breath. The scent had changed again. It now had an anxious quality to it. His preoccupied state of mind had clouded his senses. “This scent…”
“Is mine.”
He dropped his hand as if he’d been burned. Diavolo pulled down his sleeve again.
Lucifer pressed his hand to his nose, taking a step back. “How is this possible?”
It wasn't the fact that Diavolo, big, muscular, sturdier than any bolder and handsome to add, was an Omega that was so unbelievable. It was the fact that Lucifer somehow had missed it all these years.
“Special suppressants, scent blockers, treatments,” Diavolo said, his voice unusually quiet. “My father was, well… quite disappointed when I presented. For his son, to turn out a mere Omega. Nobody could know. Not even you.”
Lucifer's hand tingled where their skin had connected moments before.
“Why are you telling me this now?”
Diavolo crossed his arms, then uncrossed them again. “Just like you, I will be off my suppressants for a good amount of time. It was important to me that you know.”
He needed a moment to process the new information. At a loss for words, he ran his hand over his chin. “For all it's worth, it doesn't change anything for me,” he said slowly. “Although it would be untruthful to say I am not surprised.”
Diavolo bowed his head. “The sentiment is much appreciated. I apologize for lacking the words right now, but it is a topic that I still don’t quite know how to breach.” He looked up at Lucifer, as if to gauge his reaction. “Although if you do have questions, feel free to ask.”
Certainly, there were countless questions on his mind, yet he found himself unable to voice a single one. Lucifer crossed his arms, then shook his head. “I have none,” he said slowly. He remembered the way he had grabbed Diavolo's hand, his scent intoxicating and still far too present. Heat was rushing to his cheeks.
“I believe I should-”
“So I have a sug-”
Lucifer motioned for Diavolo to continue talking. The demon king nodded his head, a slight smile on his face.
“I have a suggestion,” Diavolo repeated. “Do feel free to reject it. But I have been thinking. Wouldn't it be a hassle to spend your rut at the House of Lamentation? I can imagine there isn’t all that much privacy with so many of your siblings around.”
Until now, Lucifer hadn’t really thought about it all too much. Still, Diavolo was right. It was doubtful they’d simply leave him to his own devices. “What are you trying to say? That I should relocate to an establishment of sorts?” he replied, affronted.
“Of course not!” Diavolo cleared his throat. “I was thinking that you could spend your rut here, at the Castle."
Lucifer narrowed his eyes. “Why?” he asked. “Officially, I do not work for you anymore. Why would you-”
Diavolo furrowed his brow. “Would that be the only reason why I should care for your personal comfort?”
Lucifer pressed his lips together. With his lifeline of their professionalism gone, he was lacking the right words.
“I don’t think that’s necessary. Surely, my siblings will have enough decorum to allow me some peace and quiet. ”
Diavolo mustered him, almost impatiently. “Please, think about it.” Then, he lowered his voice. “You would be cared for.”
Lucifer swallowed deeply, trying not to think too hard about what was hidden behind the words Diavolo had just uttered. There was no way he could just take him up on such a daring offer.
Diavolo was pacing the halls. He crossed his arms, uncrossed them again, then came to a halt in front of his fathers portrait. He studied his dark hair and proud frame as he had done time and time again.
His father had instilled in him a deep-rooted fear of telling the world about his Omega status, but now that he had finally told Lucifer about it, he felt none the wiser. Leftover anxiety was still pumping through his veins even though he’d hoped his talk with him would alleviate that certain feeling of unrest.
“Young Master?” Barbatos was standing next to him, unmoving and calm. He did not ask about how it went, but as he knew Lucifer just as intimately as Diavolo did, there wasn't much of a need for it.
“He said it doesn't change anything.” Diavolo simply said, hoping the silence of the room would swallow up the statement and make sense of it.
Barbatos walked up to him, coming to a halt in front of the portrait as well. “Did he now?”
Diavolo studied his father’s sharp features and the downward turn of his mouth, the strict glint of his eyes he hardly even remembered anymore. “He said it doesn’t change anything, so I invited him to spend his rut here.” He knew his voice was sounding decidedly unhappy, but there was no need to hide it from Barbatos. “I promised to care for him. Perhaps I was being too hasty…”
“I believe Lucifer would have reacted the same way if you had made the offer under a different premise. Do not fret.”
Diavolo sighed deeply. “Certainly. I just hoped he would… read between the lines?”
“Young Lord, if I may. You could write entire novels between the lines. It would make no difference as long as the recipient refuses to admit the space between the lines is there at all.”
Diavolo touched the ornate picture frame, not daring to let his fingers connect with the well kept canvas. He had the nonsensical thought that, wherever his father was, even the smallest touch would be enough for him to get a glimpse into Diavolo’s deepest desires.
“I’ve made a fool of myself, haven't I? Have I miscalculated by means of my own desires?” He sighed deeply. “He will not come. I have imagined what his reaction would be so often, how it would change the trajectory of our relationship. Perhaps it truly doesn't matter to him…”
Barbatos hummed quietly. “I believe it would be incorrect to mistake him not minding for him not caring at all. I’d advise you to wait.”
Diavolo turned away from the portrait and sighed unhappily. He had never particularly liked having to wait.
Lucifer returned home, his mind all over the place.
When he pushed open the front door, he was greeted by pandemonium. A little fur ball darted past him, closely followed by Satan, Solomon and MC.
“Go left!” MC yelled.
Solomon was in the process of mumbling an incantation when Satan bolted to the left, attempting to catch whatever had infiltrated the House of Lamentation.
“What in the Devildom is going on here?!” Lucifer shouted.
“Devil Raccoon on the loose! Duck!” Mammon yelled.
Lucifer saw something fly past him and ducked. “Two hours! Can’t I leave you to your own devices for this long?!”
“I would charm it, but it's just too fast!” Asmodeus yelled from a safe distance. Solomon had joined him again, one hand on his chin, the other around Asmo’s waist as he assessed the situation, looking so relaxed it irked Lucifer. “Talking to it is useless as well, it simply won't listen.”
Then Levi came running into the room, a Ruri-chan themed fishing net in hand. “Will this help?”
“Where's Beel, I bet he could catch it with his bare hands, right?”
The devil raccoon darted through the room again. Levi jumped after it with the net, failing to catch it. He tripped over one of the canapés, taking it down with him with an undignified squawk.
Lucifer surveyed the situation. Beel and Belphie came walking in. The youngest yawned and rubbed his eyes. “Can everyone shut up?” he slurred. “I'm trying to sleep.”
“It’s 5pm!” Mammon yelled back in reply. “What do you mean you're trying to sleep! Scratch that we've got bigger issues right now! Beel, fetch!”
The room was filled with far too many pheromones. Lucifer pressed his hand to his nose. “Somebody catch it or so help me!” he forced out.
Beel pushed up his sleeves and looked around. The devil raccoon was holding onto one of the decorative statues, staring. Beel stared right back. He widened his stance and lowered himself, then nodded at the wild animal. Belphegor plopped himself down on the couch that was still standing, already halfway in dreamland.
When the animal lunged, halfway in the air already, Belphegor yawned, catching it with one extended arm. The animal made an undignified sound when it was pressed to his chest in a tight hold.
“Nice catch, Belphie!!” Asmo cheered.
“It probably got in when we kept the front door open for a few hours, thinking it could find some food,” Solomon mused. “It must’ve caught a whiff of my sandwiches.”
Lucifer could feel his eye twitch. “Why in hell did you think keeping the door open was a good idea in the first place?”
Beelzebub reached into his pocket, producing a cookie. He took a big bite and several crumbs fell onto the carpet. “-Was like that when we came here.”
The thought of their home open to the entire Devildom when he was actively about to enter the most physically vulnerable state he’d been in ever since his fall turned out to be the one last thing tipping the scales. “Out of my sight, all of you.”
Several upset scents were mixing together, filling up the room.“But Lucifer we didn’t even do-” “So unfair, I mean we did catch it-” “Anyone also wondering what devil raccoon tastes like-?”
“Out. Right. Now.”
“But-”
“I said now.”
His brothers scattered like frightened cats.
Lucifer surveyed the situation, taking in the disrupted state of the room. He sat down on the canapé that was still standing and picked up his DDD. For a moment, he turned it in his hands, over and over again. Then, he made a decision and opened up their chat.
I did rethink it. If it isn't too much of a hassle, I would like to take you up on your offer.
“Use the room as you wish,” Diavolo stated plainly. “If you wish, we can still have dinner together. Until… well.” He cleared his throat. “Until you feel the need to seclude yourself, of course.”
Lucifer pushed his suitcase into a corner of the room.
The reality of his situation hadn't really set in until now and he didn't quite know what to do with himself. “I cannot thank you enough,” he said awkwardly.
Diavolo smiled at him. “There is no need. Not for this.”
For a moment, there was silence. Lucifer hated to admit it, but by now he was feeling strangely on edge, the prospect of his oncoming rut a looming cloud above his head. Ever since he’d first taken note of them, the scent of Diavolo’s pheromones was becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
“So how would you feel about dinner?” Diavolo asked quietly. “Barbatos has prepared several meals for us before he left.”
“So Barbatos grabbed Solomon by the neck and you will not believe-”
Diavolo was telling a story Lucifer had already heard before. After having shared this many years by one another’s side, it was fairly unavoidable.
It was irritatingly easy to get lost in the way Diavolo held his fork. It was a peculiar thing to take note of, considering how they had shared uncountable meals throughout the years. Still, Lucifer dragged his eyes over the way it rested between his fingers, perfectly positioned, surely a feat accomplished by countless lessons of tutoring. In his other hand rested a knife. His sleeves were rolled up, exposing his strong arms, and it was quite easy to watch the way his muscles flexed as he cut into his smoked crusted weevil steak. A bit further down, where his wrist peeked out from underneath royal garments, was his scent gland.
The memory of his nose pressed against it was blurry at best, yet Lucifer couldn't stop ruminating about it. He had overstepped, but strangely enough, Diavolo seemed to refuse to point it out.
Lucifer furrowed his brows and took a bite. When he lifted his gaze, he saw Diavolo mirroring the action. He lifted his fork to his lips, opening his mouth to dip it into his mouth. Lucifer watched the way his tongue peeked out between bites, pink and wet as it curled around the food. He closed his eyes, forcing his mind to stay on track before it could stray in directions it most certainly wasn’t meant to go. Lucifer ran his fingers over his temples. His skin was starting to feel clammy.
He forced himself to look back up again. It was strange how unbothered Diavolo was acting in spite of his approaching heat. For once, his posture was relaxed, and his scent was content.
Lucifer wiped his mouth with a napkin and put his utensils aside.
They were sitting close, not close enough for their shoulders to touch, but certainly close enough to feel each other’s body heat.
The movie was nothing more than background noise to Lucifer. He had long abandoned the aimless pursuit of trying to follow its plot. All he knew was that it was a romance movie Diavolo had insisted on needing to show Lucifer.
Instead, he was trying his hardest to ignore the need to push himself against Diavolo.
The demon king's arms were crossed, his head tilted towards Lucifer, as he followed the movie's plot.
Lucifer breathed out through his nose. He was uncertain how much longer he could take being in Diavolo's vicinity without doing something he would come to regret. Still, there was a part of him trying to prove that he was much more than solely his instincts. This was an issue that had prevailed for years now. Like hell would he let the simple knowledge that Diavolo was an Omega tarnish his perfect track record of restraint. Ever so kindly, Diavolo had offered him a spot in his home. Spending the time touching himself would be sacrilegious.
Diavolo lowered his arms again. Now his hand was right next to Lucifer's, mere inches apart. Lucifer watched it like a hawk. Diavolo’s hand was flat on the couch’s surface, but his pointer twitched as if he was thinking about moving it.
Something beside him rustled. Lucifer tore his eyes off their hands and turned his head.
Diavolo had somehow inched even closer and now his shoulder was pressing against Lucifer’s. His head remained turned towards the screen, almost as if nothing had happened.
The touch felt warm, much warmer than it was supposed to.
“It seems nice to have, doesn’t it?” Diavolo suddenly asked.
“What do you mean?” Lucifer replied, forcing his eyes to stay on the TV as well.
Diavolo nodded towards the screen. “Each other,” he began. He adjusted his position, and his shoulder pressed further into Lucifer’s. “Someone to lean on.” His eyes flitted to the side for a moment.
“You are leaning onto me, are you not?” Lucifer replied drily. The double meaning wasn't lost on him, but it was already too late to rephrase his thoughts.
Diavolo chuckled. “That, I am. Would it bother you if I borrowed your shoulder for a bit longer then?”
“I certainly cannot be that comfortable,” Lucifer replied without looking at him. He formed a fist with his hand and pressed it into his thigh.
All of a sudden, Diavolo slumped further down so he could lean his head against his shoulder as well.
“Believe me when I say that you most certainly… are.” He pressed his cheek against Lucifer, his breath hot against his skin. “You have always been one of my greatest sources of support. I am glad that continues to be the case.”
“Diavolo?” Lucifer took a deep breath. It was fairly strange that he hadn’t noticed it before, but his pheromones were starting to get intense. He glanced back down at him. Diavolo looked worse for wear and a pearl of sweat was running down his temple. Lucifer stiffened. “I will call Barbatos so he can get you to your chambers.”
Diavolo’s pinky hit the side of Lucifer’s hand. “Ah, please do not. It is as you would put it… unnecessary.” His pinky curled around Lucifer’s. “Truly, please.”
“I can withstand your pheromones to a specific point. Anything beyond that would be inappropriate.”
Diavolo looked up at Lucifer. “It would be, wouldn't it now?” He pressed his head further into him, his hair hitting Lucifer’s neck. “I apologize, Lucifer, just let me…. stay. That is all I ask of you, selfish as it may be.”
Lucifer breathed out through his nose, willing himself to remain sane. It was quite the feat, considering how desire had been building up in his lower region ever since their meal.
The image of Diavolo’s tongue curling around his fork was burned into the deepest part of his memory, taunting him. There was no way out of this, not when his brain was so quick to replace the image with much more uncouth ideas.
Damn it, Lucifer cursed inwardly.
He was hard. Noticeably so.
He knew his pheromones had to be giving him away anyway, but perhaps his saving grace would be that Diavolo was so preoccupied pushing himself against him that he wouldn't look down to spot the obvious tent he was pitching.
“Surely, your presence will suffice,” Diavolo mumbled, and his lips accidentally brushed Lucifer's neck. Lucifer’s reaction was explosive and immediate. There was no use trying to control his pheromones anymore. He was burning with a desire he knew would be apocalyptic to give in to.
“Curses,” he brought out.
Diavolo peeled himself off him for a moment. Lucifer's reaction was purely instinctive. Quickly, he wrapped his arm around Diavolo’s shoulder and pulled him back in.
Surprise pushed the air out of Diavolo's lungs and he looked down.
“Oh,” he said.
Heat was rushing to Lucifer's cheeks. “Pay it no mind,” he said quickly as he pressed his hand over his eyes.
“I believe that might be impossible,”
Diavolo breathed out and pondered over the way his skin felt set ablaze under the warmth of his hand.
Lucifer ran his hand over his forehead. “I think we should-”
“Stay? Please?”
Frustration was pulling at the frayed edges of his common sense. He knew that if he didn't talk strategically enough, Lucifer would run for the hills, sequestered away in his guest room until his rut was over.
“Diavolo. I am not a saint. Even I have my limitations.”
Diavolo grabbed his hand. “Would it be so bad? I knew what I was offering when I invited you to stay.” Slowly, he pressed his thumb into the soft skin of Lucifer’s wrist. “Excuse me for my brashness, but I think you did as well. I promised you that you would be cared for.”
“I cannot fathom why you would promise such a thing.”
“Is it truly so unfathomable?” Diavolo looked up at him, taking in the conflicted expression on his face. “You and me?” he knew he had to sound desperate, but if it was Lucifer, he truly did not care, not when it was nothing but the truth.
If he wasn't so sure that Lucifer was feeling it too, he would've been happy to ignore all the little touches, the heated look on his friend's face as his eyes followed his every move at dinner, the way he barely seemed to focus on the movie.
Who cared if he sounded utterly lost. “Let me take care of you,” he doubled down. Lucifer was watching him, the expression on his face unreadable. Diavolo turned towards him and pulled his hand off his temple, carefully, far too tenderly to deny his intentions, even if he wanted to. “Please?”
He pressed his hand to his own cheek, partly because he wanted to, but also because it was the safer option when he'd rather have pressed his lips against it. Diavolo turned his head into it and suppressed a sigh.
“This is unbearable,” Lucifer then muttered.
Diavolo pulled away, but when he dropped his hand, an apology locked and loaded on his tongue. Lucifer suddenly took Diavolo's hand between his own, pressing it into the couch mattress. And then, he was so close Diavolo feared for his breath.
And just like that. A snapshot of movement. Lucifer's lips on his own, warm and welcoming, moving against his own, chasing them like a man on the brink of starvation.
Diavolo was perfectly content being pushed into the couch cushions as Lucifer angled his head and kissed him like his life depended on it.
Although he had to be suppressing his pheromones, Diavolo could still smell them faintly. Even if he wanted to, he found himself lacking the words to describe what they smelled like. Sort of clean perhaps, with a strangely rich undertone.
When they parted to catch their breaths, Diavolo took the opportunity to dive into the crook of Lucifer’s neck, pushing his nose against his scent gland. He breathed in and sighed against his skin. Quickly, he glanced up at Lucifer. In the dim light, his eyes looked even prettier than usual, their carmine colour such a fierce thing clouded with desire.
Diavolo kissed the crook of Lucifer's neck, and that was all it took for him to wrap his arms around his neck. His erection was hard against Diavolo's, tempting and hot.
“I cannot take it,” Diavolo moaned. He moved his hips, grinding against him. Lucifer kissed him, hard and desperate, mumbling something against his lips that suspiciously sounded like an apology, all the pent up desire making him sound perfectly on the brink.
“Diavolo… is this not a mistake?” he asked while his hand traveled to Diavolo’s belt.
“Never. Not when it's with you.”
Even when he ground his hips against Lucifer’s again, it didn't suffice. It was simply not enough.
“Don't overexaggerate.”
Diavolo chose to ignore Lucifer's usual bullheadedness. “Please, touch me,” he said instead.
Lucifer was quick to work his belt open. Every little touch, every minuscule brush against him felt like gasoline to an open flame. He had spent night after night trying not to think about Lucifer in such a daring light, now that he had him so near, he could barely take it. Arousal was coursing through his core, scorching and unforgiving.
Then, Lucifer slipped his fingers under the elastic of his briefs and Diavolo damn near forgot to breathe. Quickly, he ran his fingers down the length of his dick, freeing it from the constraints of his underwear. Lucifer wrapped his fingers around it and started pumping it at a quick pace.
The moan that left Diavolo’s mouth was involuntary and loud. He tried to meet Lucifer’s gaze, but the demon’s eyes were glued to his dick.
Diavolo reached for Lucifer’s pants and after a bit of fumbling, he managed to pull his pants and underwear down as well. Trying to calm his rabbiting heart was a thing of impossibility. Diavolo was so excited to finally, finally get to touch Lucifer, he knew his hands had to be trembling from all those years of dedicated restraint.
Unsurprisingly, Lucifer’s penis was a thing of beauty. Big and strong, pink with undisputed arousal. Diavolo wanted to put his mouth to it so badly, wanted to know what he would feel like on his tongue, needed to experience what his release would taste like. However, he knew to behave himself so he wouldn’t spook Lucifer. After all, his affections were intense and overwhelming and they hadn’t really talked about anything of importance just yet.
Waiting, he was accustomed to. It was a place he didn’t particularly like being at, but gladly remained at for the sake of Lucifer’s mental comfort.
When Diavolo began fondling his balls, traveling further up to caress his cock, Lucifer let out a particularly long breath of air.
Then, he pushed Diavolo down onto the mattress and swung his legs over his waist. Diavolo looked up at him, quite overjoyed at the prospect of seeing Lucifer tower above him, dick so beautifully hard and eyes misty with lust.
Diavolo couldn’t help but stare. Their eyes met and suddenly, Lucifer’s lips were on his again, warm and wet. He slipped his tongue inside and groaned when Lucifer reciprocated.
Lucifer rutted against him, desperate for any sort of friction. Diavolo reached up, caressing his cheek as he gathered their dicks in one hand, pressing them together as he began jerking them off, precum mixing together.
Lucifer's eyes were shut, his brows pulled together so tragically as his chest rose and sank with a certain sort of need he couldn't hide anymore.
Diavolo picked up the speed, pressing their dicks together so he could feel every little twitch, pushing Lucifer's hair behind his ear so he could touch even more places he had never had the honour of touching before. He ran his fingers through his hair, over the back of his neck, dipping down to feel that strong back that would always remain covered in scars.
When Lucifer slipped and his lips accidentally pressed against the corner of his mouth and part of his cheek, that was all it took to push him over the edge. His breath caught, and when he came, Lucifer kissed him once again. When his cum flowed over to Lucifer's dick, he could feel him twitching violently as well, and it didn’t take long for him to follow suit.
Diavolo felt so incredibly hot, his urges quelled for nothing but a moment. Now that he knew what it was like to have Lucifer so close, he felt like it simply wouldn’t be enough to just be close to him anymore.
The kisses slowed down, turning tender and sweet, if only for a second. Then, Lucifer lowered his head, pressing his forehead to Diavolo’s chest as he came down from his high. For the shortest of moments, his breathing slowed and his body seemed uncharacteristically relaxed.
Diavolo wished they could stay like this, wondering if it would be so bad to freeze the moment, if only for a bit.
But then Lucifer lifted his head again, his lips – their reddish hue the only solid proof of what had just transpired – pressed into a thin line.
Diavolo could tell that he was avoiding his gaze. And even before he began searching for what could have gone awry, he knew the moment was lost. It was strange to see, this hint of glassy vulnerability quickly being overpowered by an unnerving sense of distance.
“Lucifer…” Diavolo began, but to be quite truthful, he did not know what to say.
Quickly, Lucifer pulled away. “This was a mistake.”
He could feel his heart break a bit. Diavolo squeezed his eyes shut and breathed. “A mistake?” he asked, his voice so quiet it sounded foreign to his own ear. He opened his eyes again. “That pains me to hear, but...”
Lucifer was already standing again, almost frantic as he gathered his clothes and got dressed again, gaze going anywhere but where it would count.
Suddenly, Diavolo felt laid bare to the world, exposed and afraid and younger than his actual years. For once, he wished he could lie easily and tell Lucifer that their urges had overrun them, that it would be an act they could certainly laugh at after time had healed their bruised egos.
But he simply couldn’t do it. It would be so far from the truth that it would surely make him feel sick.
“I apologize,” he said instead.
Lucifer ran his hands through his hair before putting them behind his neck, then turned around as if the urge to pace was too much to withstand, then let his hands fall down again. “There is no need, not when -” he stopped himself.
His heat was making him more emotional than usual, he was aware of that. Still, Lucifer’s rejection stung like hell.
“I should return to my chambers,” Lucifer murmured. “I should’ve done so hours ago.”
“Please don’t -”
He walked away.
Diavolo stared at the spot where he’d been standing mere moments ago. He was still halfway undressed, his shirt sticky with cum, his boxers now uncomfortably wet with slick. Of course, he had never shied away from begging when it came for Lucifer, but not even getting heard out felt like a punch to the gut, and he didn’t quite know what to do with himself.
As he had never experienced a heat before, he truly did not know what to do. Of course, he knew what would and could help in theory. Still, hurt was far too prevalent in his mind, so his heart wasn’t truly in it.
His head felt dizzy and his heart was beating with a rhythm he refused to find comfort in. Being perpetually turned on and distressingly down in the dumps truly hadn’t been in his cards when he’d thought about what could’ve expected him today.
Even worse, now that he knew the shape of Lucifer’s lips so intimately, knew how precious a sigh could sound right next to his ear, calming down wasn’t an option anymore. He felt perfectly unravelled, his mind torn between the memory of Lucifer losing all control against his skin and the sharp rejection that had followed right after.
Diavolo had his back against the wall and his hands on his knees. For the shortest of moments, he allowed his head to drop. It was all just so ridiculously unbearable.
There was movement in the room behind him. Diavolo let his head fall back again. It hit the wall, making a small thumping noise. The movement in the room resumed. The pheromones he could make out were faint, just enough to make him lose his mind a little more with each minute he was left to his own devices.
His skin felt clammy and all of a sudden, even the thought of fabric upon his skin felt like an insult to his entire nature. Diavolo unbuttoned his shirt. Fresh air hit his skin and he sighed unhappily. It felt nice enough to soothe, but certainly not good enough to make all that much of a difference.
“What are you doing?”
The voice didn’t come as a surprise to him. Diavolo had known that Lucifer wouldn’t be able to remain quiet.
“Sitting,” he replied plainly. “The air feels quite nice out here. I think I will be staying for a bit.”
Silence. Then, an audible sigh. “Don’t be ridiculous. You are in heat. Go to your room.”
Diavolo pressed his hand to his forehead. His entire body felt like it was on fire. There wasn’t much that would be able to soothe this unstoppable flame. “What use would there be? I will be lonely just the same. So at least let me stay where I know there is only a wall dividing us,” he replied. “Moreover, you are in rut just the same, if I may remind you.”
He knew it was a childish thing to do, to camp out in front of someone’s room to get them to talk to you. But Lucifer often had to be pestered a bit until he would start talking.
“That will hardly offer you any sort of relief,” came Lucifer’s guarded answer.
Diavolo smiled. “Perhaps not of the sexual kind. But your presence soothes my heart regardless. It always has. Perhaps that will suffice already”
It was easy to tell that Lucifer had begun pacing the room again.
“Won’t you at least talk to me? At least it will help keep my mind off things.”
Aggravatingly enough, hearing Lucifer’s voice had only made his erection worse. He was so painfully hard, he felt like he was about to lose his mind. He pushed the back of his head against the wall again, hard. The pain was barely enough to override his arousal.
“Cease the banging.”
Diavolo did it again, out of childish spite. “It does help a bit,” he said cheerfully.
“Pray tell, how am I supposed to explain to Barbatos that you’ve hit your head against the wall hard enough to give yourself a concussion?”
“By not telling him at all?” he said weakly. “What has transpired is between the both of us, is it not?” Perhaps it was an unfair thing to say, but Diavolo had to admit; he was tired. He ran his hand down his exposed chest, the only touch he would allow himself to have. “Even if it was nothing to you, at least it is a secret that connects us. It will be enough to tie me over.”
All of a sudden, the door flew open. Lucifer’s pheromones hit him like a freight train.
“Good grief,” he mumbled, his hand pressed to his nose. “You truly cannot be left to your own devices now can you?”
Diavolo waved at him, a smile on his face. “Have you grown tired of ignoring me?”
Lucifer grabbed him by the arm and pulled him inside. The door fell shut behind them as he crossed the room in quick strides and maneuvered Diavolo over to the bed. Diavolo truly couldn’t complain and was quite happy to follow. He looked up at Lucifer from heavy-lidded eyes. He knew it would only be downhill from here on. But at least he would crash and burn with his favourite demon around.
He pressed his hand to his chest, pushing his fingertips into his flesh.
Lucifer was staring at him, looking worse for wear. His hands were balled into fists, his jaw tight with restraint. “Pray tell, why would you think it would be a good idea to stay near me after what just transpired?”
Diavolo turned his cheek into the mattress. He ran his fingers over his sternum and tried to focus on the sound of Lucifer’s voice. “You already know that I consider time spent with you the best pastime one could choose.” He ran his hand over his neck, up into his hair.
Diavolo looked up at Lucifer, who was watching him with a deer-in-the-headlights look on his face.
Slowly, almost as if he was afraid time itself would stop him from proceeding, Lucifer sat down on the edge of the bed. Then, he rolled himself onto his back so he was lying right next to Diavolo.
“What foolish nonsense. Haven't I told you time and time again to cease these unnecessary compliments?”
Diavolo turned to face him, propping himself up on one elbow. “I promised to behave in public. You practically gave me free reign for when we're to ourselves.”
Lucifer pushed his bangs out of his face, staring at the ceiling. His hands were joined in such an iron-clad grip over his chest that his knuckles were turning white. “Well,” he began. “I suppose I did.”
Then, they were hit with silence. Despite everything, Lucifer’s pheromones were soothing him considerably. Momentarily, he allowed his eyes to fall shut and simply breathe in the scent. It was far too tempting.
Lucifer was still staring at the ceiling as if his life depended on it. Slowly, Diavolo reached for his hands, pulling them apart so he would finally have mercy with himself and relax his grip.
“Would it be that bad?” he repeated himself.
Lucifer looked down at their joined hands, then back at Diavolo. There was something somber in his eyes that Diavolo couldn’t quite decipher. Still, he didn’t pull away. But he also didn’t reply.
“Would it be so terribly bad to even entertain the thought?” He pressed Lucifer’s warm hand to his cheek, pressing his lips to its side as his heart hammered so hard in his chest he knew Lucifer had to be hearing it too.
“Entertaining a thought means making space for it in your mind, regardless of your initial intention,” Lucifer said slowly. “Before you even notice, it has already taken root.”
“I suppose that is true. But if you've given the issue that much thought already, perhaps all precaution has been useless anyway.”
Lucifer turned onto his side, a thoughtful expression on his face. “Perhaps…” He reached for Diavolo’s shirt, running his hand along the line of buttons. When his fingers brushed Diavolo’s bare skin, he couldn’t help but suck in a breath of air.
“How come you are in such a state of undress?” he mumbled, his voice part wonder, part irritation.
“It helps, marginally. Perhaps you should try it as well.”
Lucifer's fingers twitched. His eyes remained fixed on Diavolo’s chest. “I shouldn't,” he clarified. “But perhaps… it truly would alleviate my suffering.”
Diavolo watched the way his mouth curled around the words so carefully, almost as if the sound itself had the ability to cause pandemonium.
You look awfully stiff. It will help you unwind.” When Lucifer reached for his first button, Diavolo was quick to intervene. “Let me help you,” he blurted out, making Lucifer raise an eyebrow at him. Still, he ultimately allowed him to continue.
He worked it open quickly, his breath catching in his throat with every inch of porcelain skin he uncovered. Diavolo moved a little closer, his hands on the open shirt like a life line that kept him from delving into the deep end.
How badly he wanted to touch him. Instead, he pressed his forehead to Lucifer’s sternum and breathed his pheromones in.
“Does this still feel like a mistake to you?”
“Perhaps calling it a mistake was unnecessarily harsh on my part,” Lucifer said quietly. “Still, it doesn’t change the fact that this would be inadvisable.”
“Even when I ask you to spend your rut with me?” he asked. “Give and take. Neither of us will have to suffer the fate of loneliness. Doesn’t it sound much more agreeable than suffering by ourselves?”
Lucifer was caught off guard and lifted his head. “I’m sorry?”
Diavolo closed his eyes and listened to the unsteady rhythm of Lucifer’s heartbeat. “As am I.” His heartbeat was quick, his hands hot against his skin where they had wandered from the buttons of his shirt to his exposed skin.
“Diavolo, what are you trying to say?” he replied. “I couldn’t just-”
“Who would be trying to stop you?”
Lucifer pressed his lips together. Diavolo feared he simply wouldn’t answer. Then, ever so slowly, he leaned in closer and pressed his nose to Diavolo’s neck, breathing in his scent. The breath he let out was careful, agonized. “Don’t ask such questions.” He dragged his nose over his scent gland, his hair tickling Davolo’s neck, and sighed.
Diavolo couldn’t take it any longer. “Lucifer, please. I implore you.”
“Have we not talked about this before? Extensively, might I add?” came the answer from underneath his chin.
Diavolo was hard and confused. “We have, but I still don’t understand your reluctance. Won't you explain it to me?”
A deep sigh escaped Lucifer's lips as he shook his head. “I won't fold just because you’re asking nicely. We both know that I can’t-”
Frustration was pulling at his chest. “Why not?”
Lucifer’s lips brushed his jugular and he shuddered. “It's not like you're just propositioning me to sleep with you. You are asking me to…” He cleared his throat. “You are asking me to bed you.”
Diavolo reached out, running his hand from the small of Lucifer’s back, up to his strong shoulders. “And what would be so wrong about that? I have been quite open about my affections for you, have I not?.”
Then, Lucifer nibbled at his throat, ever so carefully. It stung a bit, but the kiss that was pressed over the affected skin was enough to sweeten the deal. “Try to understand…” he murmured. “Put yourself in my shoes.”
“If I were in your shoes, I would want to be taken care of. But if you’re truly uncomfortable with the thought of us spending your rut together, I will apologize for pressing the issue.”
Diavolo couldn’t help himself. He pressed a soft kiss to Lucifer's cheek, then two to the corners of his mouth respectively. When he kissed him again, their tongues meeting in a lazy dance, Lucifer pushed his groin against Diavolo’s boner, panting against his lips.
“The issue is of a… personal kind.”
Diavolo pulled back a bit in favor of getting a proper look at Lucifer. “Then allow me to be frank. Why won’t you take me, Lucifer? Just say the word and I will hand over all reins, no questions asked. But you’re saying it’s a personal issue.”
He hooked his thumbs into the waistband of Lucifer’s pants and watched him carefully.
“Tell me you dislike the idea and I will accept it. But I know you, Lucifer, and I do not believe that to be the case. In that case, you wouldn’t have agreed to join me in the first place. I know your eyes and the places they get lost in.”
He let his gaze wander from Lucifer’s chin, past his lips that he knew so well, up to his reddened cheeks and the shadows beneath his eyes.
Quickly, he pressed a kiss beneath Lucifer’s eye. “No more distractions, please. Let us have this conversation.” Even when it was getting harder and harder to stay focused, he knew it was detrimental for them.
Lucifer ran his hand over Diavolo’s chest experimentally. “How do you expect me to say what would be so blasphemous to admit?”
“The only opinions that matter are mine and yours. Disregard everything else.” He kissed him deeply. “What do you wish to do tonight?” After his lips, he began to kiss his knuckles. “Lucifer,” he mumbled, not even trying to keep the desperate edge off his voice. He mouthed at his wrist, reveling in the way Lucifer squirmed when he kissed upon his scent gland there. “Please,” he said again. He knew he’d never hear the word from Lucifer, and truthfully, he did not want to. But Diavolo himself had never had much use for it before. Please. When it came to Lucifer, he certainly wouldn’t mind using it until his throat was sore. “Do you not long for me? I would do anything to let you have me,” he mumbled, his voice almost an afterthought. Lucifer groaned against his lips. “Tell me what the issue is,” he prompted as he slid his hand down Lucifer’s sides, coming to rest on his ass.
And finally, Lucifer budged. Pressing his forehead against Diavolo’s, he admitted defeat.”You are our king. Who am I to assert dominance in such ways?” he bit back.
“And what if I beg for it? What if I ask nicely, just to please you?”
The heat of Lucifer’s arousal was difficult to deny. He let out a repressed breath, his palm running over his forehead. “That is foul play and I am most certain you are aware of that.”
Diavolo ran his hand along Lucifer's jawline, up to his cheekbone. “What if I order you to do it? Will that ease the strain?”
Lucifer huffed out a laugh. “What makes you think I will follow your every decree?” His hand traveled up to Diavolo's loose collar. With one big, unexpected tug, he pulled him close.
“Because I know your desires quite intimately,” Diavolo whispered against his lips. He didn't move, just watched the way Lucifer's Adam's apple bopped up and down as he swallowed. A beat passed before Lucifer gave the collar another hard yank and pressed his lips against Diavolo's. The demon king smiled against his lips and angled his head for better access.
“You think you have me all figured out?” Lucifer murmured against his lips.
Playing to his nature had worked like a charm. “Quite the opposite. Every day I discover you anew.” Playfully, he circled his pointer over the button of his pants. “So what do you say?” he whispered against his lips.
Lucifer furrowed his brows. “It's ill-advised,” he answered.
“Yet you do not object.”
Lucifer pulled him in by the buckle of his belt. “You are insufferable,” he growled.
Diavolo wrapped his arms around Lucifer’s middle. “Sometimes I catch myself thinking you might just like that about me.”
“Sometimes I think you would benefit from keeping your mouth shut.” Lucifer’s mouth was hot against his own, his tongue even more so as it curled around Diavolo’s, exploring the warm inside of his mouth. It didn't take him long to take Diavolo’s dress shirt off. In an almost hasty manner, he finally slid it off Diavolo’s shoulders.
Lucifer tutted his tongue as he reached for his belt as well. The sound made Diavolo laugh against his lips. Quickly, he buried his hand in the back of Lucifer’s hair before he could start complaining again, tugging at it lightly.
“It’s rare to see you this worked up.”
“Don’t act like this isn't exactly what you wanted to happen. You know quite well how to push my buttons,” he complained.
Diavolo pressed a kiss against Lucifer's jaw. Seconds later, Lucifer’s hands were on his exposed waist, his fingers impatient. He ran his fingers over tight muscles, slid them around to his back. His lips were hot against Diavolo’s, almost enough of a distraction that he didn’t even notice Lucifer’s hands sliding further down at first. He kept them just where his ass started, hesitantly almost. But when Diavolo sighed against his lips, Lucifer began kneading his ass.
Diavolo mouthed at his neck, delighted to see how easily his skin bruised, when Lucifer finally managed to work his pants open and pull them off him.
Diavolo was completely soaked in his own slick. Still, he didn’t care to feel embarrassed about it, not when Lucifer was the sole cause of it. He pulled him in for another kiss and wrapped his legs around his slender waist, trying to make as much contact as possible.
“You are quite eager,” Lucifer moaned between breaths.
“Believe me when I tell you my self-control has been slipping for hours now.”
Lucifer finally freed him from his boxers, and when Doavolo loosened his grip on Lucifer’s waist, he ran his hands across Diavolo’s thighs in appreciative circles. He began to massage them and every little touch only served to make Diavolo much more desperate than he already was. Precum was dripping onto his stomach, and he couldn’t help but groan.
Lucifer pressed kiss after kiss to the inside of Diavolo’s thighs, inching closer and closer to his hole.
Diavolo knew he wouldn’t be able to stand getting teased like this for much longer. Then, Lucifer pushed his thighs upwards, his hands scorching on his skin. Lucifer grabbed his hands, leading them to his thighs so he would hold them up. Then, he scooted back, getting a good look at Diavolo’s hole.
He knew he had to look a proper mess, needy and ready. But if it was for Lucifer, he wanted him to see, needed him to witness how down bad he truly was.
Lucifer ran a finger over his hole and shuddered. Then, he pulled Diavolo a bit closer, leaned down, licking across it with a flattened tongue.
Diavolo’s breath caught in his throat when Lucifer spread his cheeks and ran his tongue over his hole again, slowly and thoroughly. He could feel himself loosening up when Lucifer pushed his tongue against his hole, slipping past that tight ring of muscle, and Diavolo let out a low groan. Spurred on by the reaction, Lucifer continued to dip his tongue inside, slow and careful at first, but once he realized how soft and pliable Diavolo had become, he picked up the pace and added a curious finger that was swallowed up in seconds.
Lucifer continued to eat him out, his tongue insistent and wet, his finger curling in a beckoning motion. When Diavolo caught sight of him between his legs, cheek pressed to his thigh, his eyes dark with arousal and his lips wet with spit and slick, Diavolo couldn't keep it together anymore. He moaned loudly and came, cum painting his abs in white streaks.
Quickly, he pulled Lucifer close and kissed him. He knew that this time around, getting off once wouldn't be enough. ”Lucifer,” he begged, running his hand over Lucifer’s rock hard dick. It was a feeling he wasn’t accustomed to just yet, but there was some part of him all too curious to get to know what it would feel like inside of him. “Can we finally-?”
Lucifer simply grunted against his lips, and that was enough of a reply to him. He was being particularly quiet today, but there would be more opportunities to coax some vocality out of him.
He helped him slip out of his pants and was once again struck by the sheer beauty of Lucifer.
Diavolo didn’t waste any more time. He pressed kisses down Lucifer’s chest while he reached for his cock, tracing its length and girth with curious fingers. He reached into one of the drawers, producing a condom. Before he rolled it on, he pressed several butterfly kisses to Lucifer’s hipbones. He wished he could stay there even longer and sing his praises against Lucifer’s skin, but right now, there was a much more pressing urge.
Lucifer seemed somewhat dazed, his eyes cloudy with need.
Diavolo turned onto his stomach and looked at him over his shoulder. Lucifer ran his hands over the small of Diavolo’s back, up to his strong shoulders.
“Lube?” he asked quickly, and his tone sounded perfectly impatient.
“I’m wet enough, am I not?” Diavolo replied. He pushed his ass a bit more upwards and watched the blush on Lucifer’s cheeks darken.
“I won’t risk hurting you,” he said decidedly. After Diavolo handed the lube over, although reluctantly, Lucifer was quick to spread it over his cock and Diavolo’s hole. Diavolo had always loved how impatience looked on him, how it showed in the angle of his brows and the downward pull of his mouth.
Lucifer kissed the back of his neck and pushed his cock into Diavolo’s hole at an agonizingly slow speed. Diavolo pressed his cheek into the mattress and moaned. Lucifer’s weight on top of him, his hand adding pressure to his back, the feeling of his hot breath near his ear, it was all too much. Lucifer’s cock was opening him up oh so sweetly and thanks to the lube there was nothing aside from a bit of pressure as his body made room for Lucifer, who pushed further inside of him.
In this position, he could feel him so well, could feel every inch, every throb. It was intoxicating.
Involuntarily, he released some of his pheromones. Lucifer stilled for a second, then pressed his forehead to Diavolo’s shoulder and moaned as he finally pushed into him with his entire length, releasing his own pheromones in return.
Lucifer filled him up so well.
He began to move, slow at first, pulling out a bit just to push back inside. Diavolo groaned at the feeling, growing more and more aware of how his dick was caged in between his body and the mattress, the only friction coming from Lucifer rutting into him.
Diavolo angled one leg and pushed it forward, allowing Lucifer to slip even further inside.
Lucifer grabbed Diavolo’s hand and entangled their fingers. Then, he changed his angle and picked up the pace, opting for hard and deliberate pushes.
Diavolo swore he could see stars when Lucifer pressed into him even deeper than before, hitting a spot that felt particularly good. The moan that left his mouth was shameless and loud.
Lucifer pressed kisses up the side of his neck. When Diavolo tightened around him on purpose, he groaned.
“Do not pull out when you come,” Diavolo panted. “I need your knot inside of me. Please.”
Lucifer bit his neck again, sweetly, and nodded. "I am close,” he groaned. He grabbed Diavolo’s cheeks and picked up speed, pounding into him with much vigor. After a few more pushes, Diavolo pressed his ass upwards, and Lucifer came. As promised, Lucifer didn’t pull out. Instead, he guided Diavolo onto his side, so he could lay more comfortably with Lucifer slotted against his back.
Diavolo mourned the fact that he wouldn’t be able to feel his cum inside, but when Lucifer’s cock began to swell inside of him, Diavolo was more than happy to keep quiet about it. With the way Lucifer was pulsing and growing inside of him, his own happy end was a thing of certainty. He reached for his cock and began pumping it with little grace.
Lucifer still seemed out of it as he pressed tingling kisses down Diavolo’s neck, his hand rubbing over his chest, caressing his nipples lazily until he reached down, covering Diavolo’s preoccupied hand with his own as he helped him get off. It didn’t take long for him to come over Lucifer’s hand, not when his knot was filling him up so well, and especially not, when Lucifer was holding him so close.
For the first time in days, he could feel himself relaxing. It would still take a while for Lucifer’s knot to go down enough for them to separate. In return, this would give him enough peace of mind to know Lucifer wouldn’t be able to run for the hills at the first opportunity.
Suddenly, Diavolo felt Lucifer wrap his arms around his waist. He pressed his lips to his jaw, all too tenderly, and when Diavolo glanced back at him, he realized that he was about to fall asleep, his eyes halfway shut already.
Diavolo smiled and wrapped his arms around Lucifer’s as well. Exhaustion was pulling at his edges, and he was more than happy to let sleep take hold.

“Is mine.”
Exhaustion was pulling at his edges, and he was more than happy to let sleep take hold.
oho? you ordered some diavolo dancing?? (plus a bonus lucifer cause it's fruitily connected lol)
they have a little rehearsed dance together and it's SO unbelievably corny 🥺 the pointing?????
demon prince and right hand demon really had to sit down together to brainstorm and then practice later on to get it this in synch and i think in the grand scheme of things, that is absolutely hilarious
The fact that this is what Solomon's wand looks like just cracks me up. SWD, Nightbringer, and the manga all depict it like this. He probably could've had his wand look like anything, and yet here he is, holding something that looks like he's about to be on the Disney channel. Just a whole-ass "toy at the bottom of a cereal box" look. And honestly? I respect the commitment to the bit. It's goofy and adorable and I love it lmao
